For the people wondering it’s officially called The Titan Xenomorph and it’s spawned by a facehugger from the giant eggs (that don’t even react to humans as we are too small for a host for them) impregnating the giant beings that built that place, again that’s in the readable lore from the game
Yeah after your comment I searched and found some arts regarding it in Tindalos website. So is it a male or female and do we have a name for this new species ❔ Also I learned that those skeletons on the pillars are not seperate, basically the whole city is a living thing and those builders was just growing out of those walls, that's the process stopped for some unknown reason.

@@megazaracklordofdeath not sure what it is, it’s a completely different sub species of xenomorph designed to infect much larger hosts then humans, it’s just called the titan xenomorph and it’s implied there could be more then one in the codex too

I had to grenade or shotgun the hell out of the thing to keep from getting slapped off the map. I was surprised how on top of them it was too.

YEah, I just want a proper Alien/Aliens film that does justice to Ridley Scotts Original, and/or James Camerons sequel. I'd take one that's similar to either, or a bit of both. While I like Prometheus, didn't like Covenant at all.. those films are more their own things. I want a proper film that feels like it does those original 2 justice as a sequel.

Given how well received this was, I'm banking a future game like this but instead play as perhaps a rogue group aiming to expose Weyland.
We are put into an XCOM 2 situation where we have to fight and secure support to expose corporate whilst dealing with a large scale alien incursion. The Predators could be brought in too.

While I like the AVP movies, again as their own thing, and Prometheus/Covenant.. they totally let me down as die hard fan wanting that Alien/Aliens experience. I just hope the show, and/or film finally gives it to us. I do have faith as I always do, especially cause that 2013 Evil Dead Remake was top notch..

Never was a fan of top-down view games - but being a huge fan off alien/aliens - even alien 3 (extended version), this game makes me very intrigued. Seems so well done and made with such a huge ammount of care and effort.
I read an alternative screenplay for the Prometheus movie in which the engineers worshipped the Alien and in their city were massive statues to which folk paid homage.
They were also the most lethal weapon that the engineers had at their disposal and were known as planet killers.
Another aspect of the screenplay was that the chest busting didn't occur however the infected grew gruesomely into the Alien these aliens were about 12 feet tall.
In this Screenplay the humans stole some tech and took off back to Earth the engineers released the Alien to recapture the tech putting Earth in mortal danger. It was an action-packed script that began with us discovering our makers and traveling to those who engineered us but like most situations the humans got greedy.
So, a bit of critique... The point of a chase scene, is to have whatever is chasing you, make your adrenaline pump as it slowly get closer and closer. What I'm seeing here, is a mouse cursor playing "keep pointing & clicking and you won't get hurt", occasionally panning back to the actual game-pieces, forming a passionate Conga Line, while the same lackluster "thud" plays on loop and once you have pointed and clicked enough times, you win the game. That's uh... that's some Final Boss Fight, right there, alright. 🤷♂

Loved that game and they made a lot of patch to fixe bugs and crash. A lovely team. The sounds, the music, the cinematics, the references truely well done, not many movies get that nice adaptation has a vidéo game. However im kinda sad that big snake titan isnt a true boss, i would have loved to fight him with my squad.

Supposedly it's a king xenomorph according to a guy who replied on another comment which makes zero sense to me as I seen the king xenomorphs in comics and it looks no were near close to this thing
I would say this one look kinda plain compare to any other Xeno. A king, an Empress, Mother queen, Cyborg xeno, the android xeno, predqueen. There are so many i believe would outshine this one.

I have always wondered how Xenomorphs could even have a " homeworld ", cause clearly, they are a bio engineered - weapon -, designed by the Engineers.
As I see it, a homeworld would mean... that the eggs hatching, were infecting whatever lived there with the famous facehuggers, and simply establishing a strong presence on the planet that would remain, in the form of the Aliens we know. Well, at least similar, since Aliens would have different appearances depending on what being or creature they hatch from.
In the comics, there was a Alien Homeworld
They had natural predators and fought with other species that could hold their own too.
@@warriormarshal9435 Well, many comics tends to take liberties with certain concepts, but the moment the movie Prometheus, made an appearance... and the xenomorphs being rather modified by David the android which is shown in Covenant ( horrible movie ) to become what they are in Alien 1979... things become odd.
@@Hammern28 It is technically a retcon since the Engineers did made a appearance before the movie came out so if anything, it made a equivalent to that of Star Wars, only with separate canons.

I haven't played the game but I love the mythos of the alien creatures and their origins so this final act makes me ask a few questions...
what is this boss alien exactly?
Is it a humanly engineered creature/science creation?
Or does it originate from an engineer host purely?
Did it originally have hind legs? (It looks like from certain angles that it did at one point)
Finally, what do we call it?

This game is not at all connected with theses 2 bad movies. The xenomorph is the resultat of the infection of a Space Jockey (the originals, not the Engineers). According with the original script of "Alien:Zero", it's called an Titan-Xénomorph.

The further he's kept away from ALIEN, the better. I mean, it's not like he wrote the thing. That honor goes to Dan O'Bannon. Scott just directed it and never had anything to do with the story. And as the movies he wrote show - he should stick to directing.

Было видно, как их убивали ксены. Моих ребят... Что мешало Хейз взять перед вылетам с собой группу морпехов для поддержки , она ведь знала , что там очень жарко. Да хоты бы пару турелей с собой взяла... Плюс в катсцене морпехи слишком сильно рассредоточились , что как по мне тоже послужило причиной их гибели. В общем , мне очень жаль , что разрабы просто так слили мой отряд, а я с ним всю игру прошел, ни одного не потерял...

@@lebonk8081 no planet sized xeno, but the Deacon (a proto xenomorph from prometheus, I *refuse* to accept these 2 movies as the origin to long established xeno canon) did grow to the size of a mountain as its body rapidly mutated and it became long since immobile, probably lost its individuality too. Oh yeah, and the other proto xenomorphs are "afraid" of the mountain xeno, and avoid it like the plague.
Brethren Moons arent planet sized either. as the name suggests, they are Moon sized, which can vary, but there's is pretty fixed as being planetoid size (sort've helps they take chunks out of planets like theyre the fucking san'shyuum to form their shell)
I wished they let us bomb the alien tomb instead of running out gun blazing and leaving the place with a cutscene. There could be a secret ending if you do all the missions and side quest that’ll let you plant explosives but idk
I was honestly too scared to stop, so I had my character run fast. I didn’t know you don’t get attacked during the chase scene lol

The chase is suppose to be close but during the second part the Titan Xeno accelerated for a few seconds and ended up overlapping with the player, which is why it didn't attack the player wasn't in it's attack zone which is a cone a bit infront of the boss

That’s been my problem with every aliens game. There’s never a final boss “fight”, you just run from something and leave before the place blows up. Isolation, and Colonial Marines were the same way. Then Fire Team Elite just ends, no cutscenes or anything……

Not necessarily, I think it’s the original that shows the space jockey and then Prometheus that shows the engineers are space jockeys. This is just an alien that has hatched from one of those guys, as opposed to the ones that hatch from humans like we’re used to seeing

Just finished the game. Was surprised too see this breed of alien. Who knows how long that thing was hybernating under it's host carcass. More curious if, in the events of the story, we'll see a sequel?

@@Armageist my theory is Marlow put something in his DNA during his time fighting the company in 77 rebellion. Those traits went to his daughter and she inherited those abilities.
He must've been researching the 'critters' in secret and used the 77 uprising as a cover for his experiments. Only when the original Marlow died and his Synths took over the Darwin cultists took rise.
Which has me thinking we may see a sequel next year or so. Maybe a Darwin transport escaped before CERBERUS activated? Or they find another colony overrun with Xenos. Or, most likely a Marlow Synth fled planet b4 quarantine.
Yeah the whole game is very more a foreshadowing towards the end of it and the last visual scene before credits. To me I am guessing WY finds them and they get turned into labrats for a bit, then have to break free and find the crew then some more surreal shit happens and just go from there. I mean its aliens so its usually something surreal. I hope there is more on the space jockeys though, because this place is not the engineers, these are the original space jockeys which are a different species all together.

A lot of people saying it's the original Space Jockey but it's not and it's already confirmed in AVP Wikia. The upper portion is definitely looks like the Space Jockey they're referring but the lower portion is not. It's a worm like alien with no legs. There's a mummified skeleton at the entrance of the city. They're basically a different alien species other than Engineers and Drukathi or Dog-alien. When I saw it, it reminded me of Medusa from Clash of the Titans. Some are saying the face is more like Predalien which I felt too when I saw it. And a lot of people complaining and saying the end fight is so lame like the Fireteam cause the makers are same, actually you guys are forgetting about Pathogen DLC where you get to fight the mutated Queen. So relax there'll come DLC definitely I'm sure for this new species spawned Queen. And in Aliens Ripley fought the Queen after their second meeting not first, at first meeting she ran away from the Queen too. So they're following that way.
Aliens Fireteam is made by a different studio. But the both games have the same publisher.

@@Armageist if they would've give you the final boss defeat then what would they make for the DLC, it's not like they could set the location on another planet on another star system and if they give you the same planet it'd have been no sense at all. But this ending ensured the creature is now more angry and we will return to the planet probably with other characters although I think Maeko herself will return to end the creature with another USCM group.

Was I the only one that noticed the Otago changing direction at the last moment before the end of the cutscene? Did I imagine it? All that information gathered during the missions that WY wants so bad. Feel sorry for that crew, they will not reach their destination.
I run out of days after mission 10, so I decided to watch the end in RUclips, not bothered to do the game again

Huh if I recall right the king xenomorph was more closer in body shape and slightly taller then the queen not having a snake like lower half and no oversized inner mouth that made it look like it's was split jaw and looking twice the size of a queen

So the other big guy was supposed to be the cannon lore so-called creator of the Xenomorph Species who they breed and genetically modified to the smallest part of the Xenomorph Biology, even their blood was supposedly made to be biological warfare and they made it more acidic and corrosive than normal acid.
well, one of the reasons the xenomorphs have acid blood, while it is a very potent defence mechanism, is because their internal energy system works kind of like a battery. Essentially, the acid is used to store electrical charge, which powers the xeno. This is also why they can hibernate for long periods of time, as their blood can maintain the charge for a long time, while the body's systems shut down.

No I just quit the game after it gave me the option to taunt the alien in the power room. just kept spamming it until the xenomorph finally finished me off. I was so fucking done with that annoying last level I just wanted to have a look at the ending.

You do know that you can slow down time and shot the alien to get some distans from it.
The ending feels kinda eh to me. Like it wraps I guess but it feels like odd to have essentially all the main characters die at the end except Harper. Maybe if we got a moment with Jonas and Cassandra. Or something. Not a bad game overall though.

So basically your walkthrough, your achievements, all of your highleveled veteran soldiers, all of your fails, all of the people died, all of it doesnt matter at all. In the end that corpoc+nt changed her suit to bulletproof vest, and that made her a professional alien killer! She is the main character of the game (actually!), she's a real hero. All those dying around her - they're expendables, extras. Even that damn "Boss fight" is actually an interactable cutscene!
And after going through those mines, killing hordes of xenos, queens, crushers, praetorians and infested cultists, your marines, your experienced soldiers, xenokillers, veterans, specialists, warriors of Dragonstone, The unburnt, protectors of the realm, kings of Andals and the First men, breakers of shackles... they simply get left behind, because: HO! HERE COMES OUR THREE (yes, three (3!) !) HEROES ! Heroes ! Hooray ! All hail to the heroes behind the scene ! They will save the day ! They will delve into an ancient hive and fight the final battle with a huge fcking monster boss... While watching the final cutscene you will feel...disappointed, cheated, screwed over. What a waste of time, and money

This game has a spooky atmosphere but I keep thinking that these marines talk way too loud and make too much noise when they should be as quiet a stealthy as possible.

Why did stern have to die? I liked him! he reminded me so much of sarge from halo xD Really enjoyed his presence on missions too. Then again, its the alien franchise, the chosen women must always survive while everyone snuffs it. No tank top and underwear though, so its a half pass. At least Cass is halfway there lmao, go full on and we'll be back in the 80s again haha

@@Goremasterhelsing No, it is not. Designs inspired by Giger are not an irrefutable prove that we deal with Space Jockey. Also no irrefutable proof that the Titan comes from the thing in the wall.
@@kordelas2514 i mean we SEE it coming out of the wall just below that giant creature also notice this the giant in the wall has a hole in this chest look closely 0:58 so this Titan xeno did came out of this jockey since this thing has a Trunk like the space jockey maybe it's a different cast for other purpose the one in alien 1979 was a Pilot that was grown into/out of the chair

You could’ve cut that from the game entirely and the plot would not be affected in the least

No in future timelines already humanity started to have a lot more telepathy developed in them and it has nothing to do with the Queen incident, read Aliens Sea of Sorrows. Also why wouldn't they, xenomorphs had telepathy and both xenos and humans came from the same Pathogen so....
Quite a good game - but disappointing ending though frankly. The Mother of all Aliens was cool, but after the nuking, needed more of a coda - with discussion between the Otago's crew, Cassandra's character speaking more, the grief and funeral of her father, and the memorial for the deceased Marines.
This just felt like a hurry, let's get it finished, and shut it down. Could have been more, and it would have paid emotionally far better at end.
Shame really, but have to admit overall, one of the better Alien games, alongside Alien: Isolation.

A new kind from a new species of alien. It reminded of Medusa from Clash of the Titans when I saw it. We don't know the name yet, maybe makers will reveal later in DLC. But it's not Space Jockey some are referring. Not Engineer either. It's like a totally different alien species like Drukathi or Dog-people from Alien Sea of Sorrows and Rage war trilogy.

Good, but I expected the boss fight to be a little more difficult... It's just running.

I'm actually glad it's not FPS for once. RTS works well for this franchise.
It's surprisingly satisfying as an rts. I was skeptical until I got my hands on it. The stealth and variety of ways you can complete levels is addictive. The tension of not wanting your squad to be spotted because you've already had one to many encounters with the creatures wounding your squad. It did a good job making me feel like I was playing an alien isolation version of aliens.
If only Fireteam Elite was more like this

I loved seeing 3 Named characters die and all of my lvl 10 marines dying for no reason. The daughter was not worth all of them dying and its even worse knowing my lvl 10 mairnes could have easuly survived that assault I had 4 sentry turrets, mines, a gun drone, and all marines but my gunner has the laser rifle with at least 20 clips of ammo before we switched to Hays and her team. Thats enough to absolutely obliterate any amount of Xenos rushing them and I get to see them all die due to Hayes bad choices.
Also I want to remind everyone HAYES COULD NOT SHOOT AT ALL AT THE START OF THE GAME AND SAID SHE WAS AN AWFUL SHOT. But somehow in the 30 days-45 days this game takes over (on average) she becomes a better shot than all of my lvl 10 marines who have been previously trained and have been killing dozens of Xenos each per day.
