- Welcome to Damn Fast!💙 Today we have the 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTE!! In this video we will test the 0-100 time with Dragy GPS equipment and tell you some more about this car! We just started with our new concept of the old ZeroToSixty videos, a bit cleaner, nicer and FASTER!! We plan to upload atleast 2 times per week on tuesday and thursday 14:00 NL time (UTC+1).
This Golf really has it all!! A sporty look, luxury, comfort and a very efficient drivetrain. This hybrid Golf has a 1.4 TSI petrol engine and a 75kW electric motor. Combined the Golf GTE has a power output of 150kW, 204HP and 350Nm. This Golf is tuned though and now has a whopping 285HP which puts it into Golf R territory. The 0-100 happends in about 7,6 seconds but this tuned one is a lot faster.

Word jouw gte warm tot 90 graden? De mijne gaat tot 80/85 en binnendoor nog minder omdat die de motor de hele tijd uitschakeld.
Als ik wat gas geef (op snelweg vooral) dan gaat die wel naar 90 en daarna koelt die weer langzaam af naar 85 zo

Is dit misschien ook de reden dat de gte geen longlife service heeft met de 30k onderhoudsinterval?

I think it's 1599kg instead of 1499, the passat gte is 1660kg.
That can be true! We always check the license plate on the Dutch regristation form end it shows all information about the car. But it it is always passable that it is different! 🤘🏼

Where is this tune/remap from? Love the GTE!
If im correct this golf gte tune is done in the Netherlands at tuningservice huizen but you should contact the owner to be sure! He is also in this comment section @the flying dutchman! In regard to VW Golf GTE tuning, in the Netherlands we have a lot of them and almost all reach just under 300HP with a simple stage 1 tune. They are pretty fast but heavy!

Great video! Just a question, I want to do this on my Mrk 7.5 GTE but i got a question: The engine has 150hp and the electric one around 100hp, combined giving the 204. How do you get the 285hp? Stage 1 tuning I looked at increase the hp of the combustion engine by 20-30hp.... that's far away from a total of 285hp. What tuning was this?
They unlock the electric motor in Gte mode.
Full electric the car has a +- 120hp electric motor, in gte they limit it at I tought 60hp. With the tune they remap the 1.4 tsi and they give the 120hp electric.
It’s totally right what Patrick says, that’s the way to go. And also map your combustion engine. Ik makes the car a lot of fun! 🤘🏼
@@DamnFast how do you unlock the electric motor? I've got a cupra formentor hybrid but it's the same car basically, any troubles with the auto box since mapping?

Het ligt er aan wat je het gaafst vind. Allebei hele goede auto’s! Maar deze Volkswagen Golf GTE is wel heel erg gaaf!!
Het is trouwens ook nog een groot verschil wat je zoekt in rijgedrag. De BMW 1 serie F20 is natuurlijk achterwiel aangedreven en zal wat directer sturen dan een Golf. De Golf GTE heeft wel een hoop vermogen en koppel, maar verwacht geen sportief rijgedrag, helemaal door het zware gewicht van 1499kg leeg... Als allrounder is de GTE een hele goede auto, zuinig, goedkoop en toch redelijk sportief🚀🚀💙
Ben zelf van een F20 M135iX overgestapt naar GTE, kostte veelste veel
@@yat2311 Denk dat ik ook maar voor een GTE. Zeker omdat je aardig wat kosten kan besparen.
Plus een GTE full option is helemaal niet zo verkeerd😜

Yes ofcourse you can, its all MQB, just mount the 2.0 to the gearbox and let a tuner to the rest 😎 I think it will be insanely quick if you have a 2.0 TSI with an electric motor aswell
