Cobb constructed this improved V2 version of their mount to minimize the NVH more so than the previous design which is caused by resonance. The 85A durometer bushing absorbs more vibration while reducing the engine movement to assist in getting all power to the ground. Not only is this addition to your vehicle highly effective, but the mount structure is also compiled from machined 6061 billet aluminum and zinc hardware for an aesthetically pleasing exterior. Yes, please make more Focus RS/ST videos
Bill hands down has the best work and is very straight forward with things and very clear!
Fitted mine today with help from this video, many thanks.Bolts were a nightmare to get loose but got there in the end.
How’s you break it loose having the same problem
@@christopherkoliopoulos5953 Just brute force, was a pain though
Keep these RS reviews coming CJ !
Just had the v1 put in my 2016 ST and the vibration at idle 750rpm, makes me wonder what's coming loose. There so much plastic in car it's impossible to not have an annoying buzz from something. Can't say I look forward to it at every stop light.
Question, I've heard mixed things about whether or not this would work on the Fusion with the 2.0. It's the same engine, would this mount fit the fusion?
I have never tried and they don't list it for the Fusion, I would suggest contacting Cobb directly. They may be able to help.
After the tires I conclude that it would be useful to make a wheel alignment ... :)
im assuming theres little difference between Ver 1 and Ver 2?
Yep, it is an improvement over the V1 0:28
Bill, when you removed the bolt from the factory mount in the sub frame and pulled it out (around 2:41) just before you put the screwdriver in the bore to demonstrate the looseness. Is
...did I see the bore elongated from wear?
They have a little notch like that, I am pretty certain the RS gets the Focus E mount from the factory.
Would it not be better to replace the rubber bush in the gearbox mounting bracket also?
That would probably add considerable NVH.
@@cjponyparts done mine and it does not add NVH at all. Makes the gear changes spot on. Pull away is great too. Transforms an old ST for sure.
Roy Evans nice! We will have to look into it
How much does this increase NVH compared to the stock motor mount?
You will see almost none from the rear mount, the side mounts will add considerable NVH.
V1, the whole car vibrates, and everything within it. I just had it installed, but I can say it makes me wonder what's coming loose. So much plastic in car it's impossible for something to not buzz from it. Lets just say it makes me want to put the stock one back on.
