jonathonhinkle89 do you or have you had misfire issues?. Not minor ones which seem to be normal but ones that would bring up an engine light? Thanks in advance
Jesse Mora I have bad misfires but not enough for the ECU to throw a CEL and I’m all stock minus the rear motor mount. I’ve changed plugs 3 times, checked coil packs, checked for vacuum leaks, changed the purge valve. Does it on stock, stage 0, and stage 1 tunes. Does it hot or cold with no oil or coolant loss 💁🏼♂️

I've had some misfire issues. Probably need to change my plugs.
COBB really needs to make a cable that goes to a right angle where it plugs into the AP

Just started modding my ST had to come back to this vid because I finally installed my accessport.
1. Boost Gauge
2. AFR Air-Fuel Ratio: Accell ~11 91/93 ~12 E85 blend
3. OAR Octane adjust ratio : 0 Start -1 Good Fuel 1 Not great fuel
4. Charge air temp- CAT: LESS THAN 150
5. Coolant Temp
6. Ignition Correction Cylinder 1/3: Make sure no drops on pull

@@stickytireproductions7516 1 or 3. You don't need both. There is also a global setting for ignition correction which I am assuming is an average between all 4 cylinders.
@@stickytireproductions7516 In the AP, you can pick which cylinders to monitor. Though, you want to find whichever cylinder is the noisiest and monitor that one. If it makes you nervous, take the cable, unplug the AP for a minute. Then, toss it in the carrying case because you've just proven why they call it the "AnxietyPort."

Hi, Cameron what do you think about the Ford Calibration up grade? why do you prefer the Cobb access port?
So is any Negative number on the ignition correction dangerous? Or is it only when doing a pull? Sometime I notice there be a -.6 or I seen it go up or -.9 is that something I should be worried about?
You can just tuck the wire in the OBD plug cabinet. Then run the cable out the whole that is already in the door where the handle is.
Just got a Megan racing downpipe. Looking into tunes. Just threw on the AWE track edition. Injen intake. Sounds naughty.

Can you monitor the Ignition correction with 2 x cylinders on 1 x gauge? I usually monitor Cylinders 1 and 4 which take up 2 x gauges. (with the max of 6 at any one time) 100% agree with monitoring boost, AFR and Charge air temp.
Does it have to be mounted at all times? Can you just reflash ecu and leave it disconnected? People say you want to monitor items but aren't the calibrations optimized so you don't have to keep eye on ratios etc?
I used to have an SVT Focus, but I'm thinking about getting an ST Focus curious if they're any good? Either Focus ST or Mustang GT.
Can you flex tune an ST or just single map tunes for say e50 or e60 for example?

Hey, if someone could answer that’d be great!! If my Ignition Corr. Cyl 1 goes from 0 to .50 then to 1 and sometimes maybe 1.50 then back to 0 when I let off the gas is this normal? I rarely see it go way up to 4.00... thanks!
Im getting 0 to -.0 ignition correction on a day to day basis but not on WOT just pudding around or half throttle is this something I should be concerned about?

what are the advantages of the Cobb AP compared to the sct x4 and the sct bdx tuners, not to mention Cobb wants a lot more money for there tuner

I have a 2017 focus st, how significant is the difference going from a stock tune to stage 1 on the accessport?? I have an AWE track cat-back exhaust and an Injen cold air intake and I’m running it on 93 as of right now. Any insight on this would help :)

hey you guys, quick add on to his video, i would replace oil temps with coolant temps, better and more accurate depiction for if the engine is hot bc coolant temps fluctuate more than oil temps do. just a tip from me i drive 13 st with the same accessport have fun you guys ❤️
I just got a 14’ St, it has a car back roush exhaust, roush cold air intake and an aftermarket Bov. Would you reccomend doing a stage 1 tune?

David Lopez yes, you shouldn’t be running 87 in an ST anyway. You can but it retards timing way to much to be safe

Okay I have a question I just recently bought a focus st 50k miles has some stuff done it and it has the cobb accessport. Okay ignition cylinder 1 amd 4 stayed at -1 for 2 weeks now all pf a sudden the ignition correction numbers go into the positive wjen I get on the gas but after I let off the gas they go back down to 0 and then ot shows a negative number under 0 like-2.7/4 can you tell me what this means

I wish there was another device that could monitor stuff. I have a runabout 2014 ST, it has a self learning tune on it, ad in it automatically adjusts to fuel octane, air temp, DA, etc. IE, if you put 95 octane in after running low on 91, it will take about 30-40 miles or so of driving for the tune to learn the higher octane and then adjust accordingly. Also, not related to aftermarket tunes, most Fords made after 2011 have an adaptive learn cycle built in to the ecu, so if your cruising like granny, throttle input will be slow and acceleration slow, then if you give it the boot for next 6-10 miles, it will adjust, and accelerate quicker.... So back on topic. I wish there was another tuner that was very Ecoboost experienced that had a self tuning type of tune. Also, if I put a cattless dp on, do I still use 2 O2 sensors or 1?? I am also getting difficult starts after fueling. I keep the tank between 1/2 and 3/4. I had the recall reflash of the car by the dealer and no deformation of my fuel tank and the hard starts keep happening, and occasionally at idle when at a light, rpms will start to go up and down from 400 rpm to 1200 rpm 6 or 7x and has even stalled on me if I do not keep revs up. Some one told me purge valve and charcoal canister near rear should fix this. Living in 104-115 degree heat 3-5 months a yr doesn't help nor does Fords capless fuel system, the first of all manufacturers. Causes vapor lock. Something very common from pre 1990 model yr cars.

Alright well that must explain the p0171 code the dude before me probably had a crazy tune causing over boost to make the lean code because theirs to much turbo air and not enough fuel🤯

Age Agile no the accesport is made for your car only , you can only transfer it to the same type of car , but it has to be unmarried
ST3_Vitoo that’s actually not correct. If he unmarries it from his car he can send it to Cobb and they’ll change it to whatever car he wants. A friend of mine had the same AP V3 for his STi, VW and now his Ford Raptor.

Nick d cobb does not make an accessport for the is350 but there should be other tuners out there for it
I’m thinking of getting an access port for my 2014 focus st. But I’m worried about the head gaskets. I don’t wanna make my car less reliable or “daily drivable” and give myself more of a headache. Thoughts?

Are you just going by internet BS that this somehow causes people's motors to blow!? Because that is just not true, the majority of people having problems are because of major inexperience in how to drive a turbo car(not lugging motor, like stomping on it in 5tg or 6th gear while just cruising, and although it prob takes a long time the idiots doing pops and backfire tunes, poor fuel quality and other just dumb stuff etc).
Having your motor fine tuned and running better is never a bad thing..
If your IAT is constantly much higher than ambient than it means you need an intercooler upgrade.

The only six monitors you need to monitor most times is afr, knock, coolant temp, long term fuel trims, boost

I have a cold air intake, magna flow cat back exhaust, a catless downpipe and a cobb rear motor mount. i don’t have a FMIC yet but would it be safe if i run a stage 2 map without the FMIC??

How similar are ST and SE? Are they the same or different?
ST is a 2.0 turbo rated at 252 hp stock and it depends on which SE you're speaking of. The 3 cylinder 1.0 turbo is rated at 123 hp and the 2.0 non turbo is rated at 160 stock! More upgrades available for the ST as well!
I wanna do a exhaust and downpipe on my focus st and I want it to be loud but not to the point where it makes it drown in the cabin...any suggestions?

Ooof my AFR on 93 is like 10.80 and on E85 like 11.5 or so. I'm tuned by JST and it's always been that way.
JST tunes typically are pretty aggressive, squeeze the most safe power out as possible

it’s 2013 st2 I bought it stock with 32k on it it’s now at 68k and raising. It lowered on springs and new struts probably 15k miles on them. It has 2.5inch straight pipe from the cat back. Can come with a 3inch catless downpipe and an accessport

I wish you could just plug in the AP and start monitoring, I dont like the fact they make you flash the ecu with one of their OT tunes in order to just monitor to finish the install process. All I want to do is Monitor not flash or tune my ecu 😑.
You just have to ref lash you stock ecu in stage 0 and then you can monitor

Only if its listed on the Cobb website, i am not sure. I would assume not since most people do not modify NA M3's

only reason why I haven't bought an AP is because I heard some bad things about having one without the supporting mods for it. I'm curious as to what you think, maybe a response to this comment can help me out whether to buy one or not.

It depends on the tune. You can get tunes that are for otherwise stock cars.
Get a pro tune and dont use the Cobb tunes and youll be fine
