Have owned my ST2 for just over 6 years (October 2012 - bought it right when it first came out). Currently have 103k miles on it. Under warranty had both the Transmission and turbo replaced at 50k miles. Transmission had bad synchro in 2nd gear which was a pretty common issue with the early ones, turbo had unexplained catastrophic failure. Out of pocket expenses were new high pressure fuel pump (bought a used one and installed myself that was $75 repair). Also had to replace evaporative emission solenoid ($40 part installed myself). Finally a rear stabilizer link which was $15, did the other side proactively so lets say $30. Other than that just the usual tires, brakes, oil changes, broken fog light, new shocks/struts. I don’t abuse it, but i certainly have some fun with it. Always do pennzoil platinum full synthetic oil change every 5k miles and always run 93 octane fuel. I got the lifetime warranty break pads the first time i changed them so I’ve had 3 sets now after only paying for one. It does eat tires pretty quickly would be my main complaint but overall very happy
Carl Griffiths quick question so the pennzoil platinum is good oil,the dealer did my first oil change free, but I’m going to do them myself from now on barley reaching 10k on my 2018 st
You are lucky. I had an engine go at 55k, struts and shocks go at 33k and 60k, tie rods, ball joints, control arms, sway links and bushings all were crap after 60k miles, and I had steering rack issues still and tram lining and my center of steering was off when I got rid of it. Luckily I got into an Is 350. The focus was fun though. Very fun.
I should probably include that I had only ford racing tune, exhaust, intake, and Eibach sport springs on until they leaked second time and then went to coilovers. So that may have played roll. The ford racing tune was questionable as far as long term damage on engine. I blame it for pre ignition damage to number 1 cylinder.
Got my 2018 ST1 4 months ago, have 5k miles on it. My Dad bought me a brand new Mercury Comet in 1970 with a manual, 4 speed (red with black interior). Now 49 years later I own a 2018 Ford ST Chili Pepper Red with black interior, it's FUN too! Didn't know it was such a popular little car until I read a bunch of reviews on RUclips. I'm an old lady now, but I still like the stick shift (cause I refuse to pay $5k for a no good automatic transmission, rebuild). Anyhow, it's fun to drive 0 to 60 in less than 6 seconds. And I need a fast little car that gets me from point A to B pretty fast, if need be.
It's been about 7 months since I bought my '17 ST, and I constantly have moments where I think to myself, "I fuckin' love this car!" Glad to see that you're still having that feeling 3 years in. I'm not really a Ford guy, but they had something really special in the ST. Sad that they have nixed it in the US. I'll be hanging on to mine as long as I can. I really dig your videos, and I'm glad that you'll be continuing to make videos about your ST for the foreseeable future. Keep it up!
I bought my ‘17 in August of of 2017. I bought a brand new Cobra in 2003. I tell people ALL THE TIME, this car is more fun than the Cobra ever was. For me it’s the combination of torque and handling. I love driving this thing every day.
Have the Fiesta ST and I have to agree, the ST line of cars that Ford has produced are AMAZING. Sad that the US cut off production, but at least we'll have collector cars in the future. Lol
I also have a 2015 ST so she is 3.5 years old and she is my daily. I had ZERO issue since I have it. ZERO. I have a map witch gives her 275 Hp and 500 Nm, I have a Magnaflow catback and a K&N air filter. I installed SS-Tuning diffuser and side skirts and a Maxton Design front splitter. I love that car.
I kept the sound symposer for about a year. Then I did the delete and am SOOO much happier with the sound. Didn’t realize how trash that was until I pulled it out. You won’t regret it.
Well Gjeebs I have had my 1st real problem with my ST3. At 73,000 miles the fuel rail sensor went bad which made the fuel pump run overtime and fried it. Both were replaced by the Ford dealer and I had them do their 3 stage valve de-gunk process for a cool $200 bucks for a total of $1000.00 hit to my wallet. Let’s not forget the 6 days it was in the shop. Rental car @ $40.00/day.....another $240.00 for a grand total of $1,240.00. Ugly. But my going on 6 years old baby runs and looks close to new and she has been extremely reliable overall. Nice video of your experience so far.
Arizona gang! Looking at either a Focus ST or Fiesta ST, really stuck on the decision as I like both. Honestly leaning towards the Fiesta, I don’t really need the room and it’s cheaper. It will also be my first manual car but I’m pretty excited either way! Thanks for the video man
Awesome video! Great point with looking for the active grille when buying a used car. I just bought a used 2013 ST and thought it was stock but turns out the previous owner had done a bunch of mods and has a Speed Performace stage 2 block. Really looking forward to driving it when the dealer is done with it!
Had a 2014 for a three year lease. Turned it in. A year later I needed a daily driver. I just bought a used 2018 with 14k. It's been great! No problems and everything in the car is tight, more so than my first. Didn't realize I'd miss it so much. Wanted to get my hands on one before they're gone for good. I always kicked myself in the ass for selling my 2005 SRT 4. Not happening this time around. And yes the front wheel drive does get tiring but this car is a a great driving experience! It's a keeper
I agree about buying a used ST -- they are a great deal. I got a late 2014 ST3 (built in Sept 2014) in 2017 with only 22,000 miles on it for $16k, or barely over half of it's original sticker price was. 65,000 miles now with zero issues.
105k on mine, same year and color, bone stock. Zero issues, all highway miles. 3rd windshield, all maintenance done by me, never went back to the dealership.
Dude, I thoroughly agree with your assessment to buy into the brand as far as aftermarket upgrades. First off, I believe one should purchase a vehicle whose performance is acceptable in stock form, then proceed with caution if you must. I've just seen too many aftermarket tunes and parts affecting the overall design in a way that can potentially make them less durable. I personally want to have my car dependable first, I need it. I don't NEED the most power I can wringe out of its neck. Thanks
Have had my 2013 ST3 for 3 years now. 45,000 miles on it. Currently have 116,000 on it. Intake, exhaust, downpipe. Tune next. Absolutely love the thing. Just keep maintaining the vehicle and she’ll run great.
I just got one with 100,000 miles on it bone stock looks clean from what i can tell. Besides the coolent under max I cant find anything else wrong. Since 100,000 anything I should look out for ? How are they in the snow ? Mine already had aftermarket wheels
I already have 16k miles on my ‘18 ST2 and have only had it for 7 months if that tells you how much I love driving this car. Can’t wait to keep racking up miles on it!
currently looking at the 16 st, actually going tomorrow to possibly sign the papers. your video pretty much sold me on it. i drove a 17 wrx, and yeah. i liked it and it was fun. but i also drove the st and just had so much more fun with it and felt more connected to it while driving. thanks for the fantastic review on such a great, affordable sports car.
Still have my 2015 and I think the same things that you mentioned. I love it !! same tune with the ford cold air intake Plugs tune with exhaust also thinking of a bigger intercooler. Want to also get a down pipe but can’t seem to find one from ford. I also try to keep it all ford. Lately I’ve also been thinking it would be nice to have a rear wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. The only thing I fine with my ST is that I’m always putting gas in it. In town driving burns a lot of gas but highway driving is excellent gas millage My car has 64400 km witch is probably in the area of what yours is at. Don’t feel like doing the math right now lol. Enjoy watching your videos keepem coming !! Thanks
Love all your vids. Just turned 5K on my '18 ST3. Had the oil changed and tires rotated at the dealer. It puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel.
have you looked into an oil catch can? ecoboost engines are great but i think what theyre lacking on is their direct injections carbon build up detail. maybe in the future you can make a video on one..?
I really dig your videos mah dude. Picked up a used 14 st3 for 13k about a yr ago. I absolutely love it, went hard on the spending and tuned to stage 3 in about 2 months. Backed it down, sold my accessport (really miss my launch control though) cause I just didn't need to drive it like that on the daily. Couple things I have to point out. Ford Performance does have some decent products ,but the only issue is you're paying 3-4x the cost when other companies like Cobb do it just as well. Keep up the good work, love it.
Just hit 22,000 miles on my ST. Not one stutter along the way, many road trips, and so much fun. I never expected the focus ST to be such a good time and it always surpasses my new passengers expectations. 9/10 for me❤️
@@Gjeebs I live in Georgia but my buddies live in Orlando (450 miles from me) and Im constantly driving down there to visit (about 1-2 times a month) would you say in the LONG RUN am I damaging my ST with those constant miles? I'm 18 I'm relatively new to this car scene and I want my ST to last me.
Awesome update man. I have had my '18 FoST since May and still loving it. Hopefully I can get some upgrades in it soon. Be well and have a great new year!
Just watched this video and subscribed, been in the market for a 2015-2015+ focus ST to replace my 01 Zx3 work car! Video was well done and answered alot of questions, thanks!
@@Gjeebs bought a 2015 Magnetic Grey ST2 Focus. Love it so much Lol. It's crazy how cheap used ones are too! The fuel milage with performance at a low price make it an excellent choice.
Did my homework on a st for like 2 months between wrx bc I live in nj so we have snow here. Ended up getting a 2018 st instead with summer tires lol. I got my xj for winter thank God I didnt sell it.
Cool video dude! I've had my '18 ST3 since March and I love it. I too came from a Civic SI, and the ST is so much better. The transmission in the Honda was garbage compared to the ST. I've put a blow-off valve, full intake, and exhaust and it sounds badass now. So glad you're still enjoying the car after 3 years.
Picked up a ‘14 st2 a few years ago, but traded it in for a super high mileage Wrx hatch. The Wrx is since gone, and I would love to get another FoST st2 st3. I found a ‘17 FoST1 and a ‘14 FiST with recaros. It’s going to be one or the other.
Love my 2014 ST3!! 85K trouble free FUN miles... only oil changes and winter/summer tires flips. I was car-sitting a friends 2014 Subaru WRX for 6 months @ 34K and quality on the WRX is nowhere near the quality of my ST! I am very pleasantly surprised. I have owned 11 manuals in my life, 5 Fiats(Spider850, 124, X 1/9, Brava, Spider 2000) 1 Honda Accord, 1 Alfa Romeo Spyder and 3 Mitsubishi Spyder GT's, and this ST IS THE BEST!!!
I found my ST to be so much tighter" in performance AND quality! Being a Subaru, I was surprised that the WRX was so loose performance wise and "tinny" in quality!
Shell v power in uk is 98/99ron surprised Us/Arizona fuel is only 91....we dont seam to get issues over here with carbon build up, even running on standard 95ron fuel...my mothers Mondeo 2.0 EcoBoost which is a fusion in the USA has 140k miles and never had issues with carbon build up...I have a 2.0 diesel which I run on the shell power diesel and doesn't even blow smoke.
@Siye Boss no joke at all. I've never known any carbon build up on any car thats been enough to cause issues that has been in our family. One has just been sold after 15 years of ownership and ran as well as the day we brought it. Good quality fuel and oils and services on time or before and we don't get issues....
Mine is also a 2014 stock and "YES" I still love it. I have an extended warranty so I can't do upgrades on it right now (maybe cold air intake this year). I have 60,000 miles and hopefully, it will last well north of 100,000.
I had a 13 st for 10 yrs. Loved it no real issue excpt my drivers seat got stuck in recline. Had to get a new used one salvage. Still $800. Don’t pull up on curbs too far. I got rearended and it totaled and bought a used 16 St Kona Blue. Having issues with key fob and doors locking. Fun car to drive.
I installed the Ford Performance springs on my 2017 Focus ST last week. I'm very happy with them so far, the ride quality is almost identical to stock.
My 13 st3 is one of the cars that I have absolutely loved. But, I have to get rid of it, I am a big guy (6ft 2in, 300lbs) and with my daughter's car seat in on the passenger side there is no room for anyone else. The recaro seats are hard on me but I live with it because of my love of this car, it's a dream car for me. But I have to say goodbye sadly.
I've been subscriber for a while. Wish you had that wrx tip. Traded my st for a wrx....well after about 2 years traded the wrx for a type r. And even till today the focus st still crosses my mind... And I'm waiting for that old grandpa who's looking to sell their st, any other st I'm sure has been beaten to hell by the previous owner and honestly I don't blame them. It's a fun great car.
On some focuses, you can manually reset your mile per gallon (or liters per 100 km) by pressing the gas and the break on ignition (not actually while the car is running)
'13 ST2 owner since 2014. Daily driven in northern Wisconsin with 65k miles. Today I changed the battery. No issues at all. I did buy an OBDII port device so I could finally turn off that hideous double honk feature. Love the car even more now.
@@Ryan96se Bought the OBDLink MX+ (bluetooth) device and used the free Forscan software to change a setting in the car's Body Control Module. There's a full thread on the Focusst.org site. ruclips.net/video/D6QPC0z6QL4/видео.html
I've had my Magnetic '18 ST since July and I'm already at stage 3 full bolt-ons with a JST tune (93 octane and E30 mix). I love the added power. It really wakes this car up. I've also done some suspension upgrades and the handling is awesome.
17k on my 18 ST1 and i really like the car, my only gripes are the flimsy/dead pedal feel from factory on all 3 pedals, the high seating position makes it feel like driving a bus (this is amplified if you're a tall person), interior falls apart pretty quick, but in terms of the driving experience its incredible for the price.
wacky dinky nowadays people want to sit higher for improved visibility and so you are not getting off the floor when you climb out. My Civic hatch sits too for me. Ultimately it's the fault of the auto makers and the manual adjustments not working well . I would rather pay extra for comfy seats than any of this brainless technology for crash avoidance.
Just picked up a bone stock 2014 ST2 with 43k miles, really as just a daily (I have a Yamaha MT10 for my speed needs). I don't plan on putting any tune on it or any excessive mods, maybe just an exhaust and intake. I recognize they're not meant to be crazy power cars, rather just jack of all trade daily's (comfortable, reasonably fuel efficient yet reasonably quick, good truck space, e.t.c.) I've had my fair share of crazy cars (terminator cobras with around 600whp) and I think it'll be nice to tone it down a bit for a year or so. At least until the used market drops back down.
For anyone from the UK wondering. The 91 octane fuel he's using is the equivalent of our 97 ron/octane. Shame you guys don't have access to better. Shell Vpower over here is 99ron.
Have a 05 focus st. 244,xxx miles. Trouble free just small things light bulbs. Tires brake oil. Recently needed valve cover gasket and a clutch master cylinder. Love my fords.
I'm looking to buy a used he said it’s 2013 st2 I bought it stock with 32k on it it’s now at 68k and raising. It lowered on springs and new struts probably 15k miles on them. It has 2.5inch straight pipe from the cat back. Can come with a 3inch catless downpipe and an accessport Got other small mods like sound symposer delete and fswerks short shifter with solid shift cable bushings and solid shift mounts And I also have a Cobb RMM that’s not on the car"" its red and looks clean. I need a daily and drive a 2006 rsx type s. But need a upgrade. Does his car sound ok for a daily. I wanted completely stock but his price and miles are hard to pass up
I have a 13ST with ST2 package that i recently bought thats race red and first thing im going to do is put the Konig Myth Red Black Custom Rims on it then ill put the flowmater exhaust on it afterwards then go from there on deciding what ill do to it afterwards. The car had 91k on it and got it for 10k here where i live. No dents or scratches on it pretty clean looking car love the way it rides n how smooth it is. Just wanting change rims out to make my car different to stand out more from the others since they all pretty much have the same snowflake wheel. Oh forgot gotten the 1552 front cup spoiler kit and had them painted race red and installed on my front bumper gives it that more aggressive look in the front
@@beetoyah was great deal here in Woodlands Tx couldnt pass it up glad i got it too before they end up not having anymore since they stop making cars now.
I just bought a ‘15 st and it had some mods that make the drivability great, like mishimoto intercooler, Sway bar, wheels and tires just small stuff. I could not be happier and I agree with your assessment, however just today one of the hoses on the intercooler blew off and I’ve got to put it back on but it’s an amazing car and if anyone has a chance I think you should get one
Gjeebs thanks for the advice, I will definitely get some t clamps, but I figured out the reason it came off was because the previous owner didn’t have the intercooler bolted to the bracket it was sitting on and I was moving around. I’m still going to get t clamps to keep it from happening again
Car coming out soon huh? That sounds very Veloster Nish to me which would be a pretty cool jump. Great channel man! (edit: I posted before watching 100% and uhhhhh you mentioned it)
Good video Gjeebs I owned my 15 ST3 for nearly 2 years before jumping into a 17 RS I love the platform the only thing I can say was annoying was the check light coming on every 2-3 days due to the carbon buildup it’s a known issue on forums but it got excellent gas mileage and was a very nice car to daily. Now I am seeing the RS now a lot more reasonably priced in the used car market if not you have the climate in Arizona I would jump into an M2 awd is amazing for me but I’m in Canada 🇨🇦 if I was in Arizona hands down M2 is car i would go with and maybe keep the ST for daily driving.
When talking about tuners I’d say jst is the safest. Brian tunes so many cars which he has the record of most 300whp stock turbo fost and I never hear complaints
Hey gjeebs, I’m also a st owner. Given the chance to start over would you buy the ford calibration or the Cobb ap? I’m at this crossroad right now. The ford calibration gives lots of torque and moves the horsepower sooner in the rpm range. I mostly commute with this car and have a little fun here and there. Have Cobb 3” catback, getting catted downpipe. Cold air intake, cpe rmm v2. Thanks for sharing any experiences.
I just like that Ford Developed their calibration so it takes a lot of the risk out of getting a tune. Because the car is my daily I have to keep it reliable so anytime I upgrade it I consider that. If it were a second car maybe I would be more aggressive. The Cobb will give you more more feedback and is customizable where the ford calibration you just put it on and that’s it
Just a heads up the Veloster N is jumps and leaps ahead of Focus ST in terms of refinement and driving performance. Mind you the Focus ST (US spec) has been around since 2013 now.
I have owned my 13 st3 since 2014 and never had issues but to be honest I'm bored with it, not enough horsepower so I'm probably going to try to buy a terminator next and a pick up as a daily.
The carbon build-up occurs on the backside of the intake valves specifically because fuel does not pass through in the intake to get into the cylinder, that's why it's called direct injection. So any fuel or additive designed to clean will make no difference because it is injected directly into the cylinder and never touches the back side of the intake valves. If it really bothers you, you can add port injection, but I wouldn't bother with that, your engine will die from ringland failure before your valves are gummed up to the point of causing issues.
Have a 2014 ST3. Problems? Nada! Nothin! Nyet! Nope! Nah! Naw! Nein! I'm totally surprised as it's my very first domestic branded vehicle I've owned in 25-yrs. Swore off the domestics because of the experience my family had when I was a kid growing up. 'Murican cars in our experience were reliability nightmares, so when I was old enough to get my own, I wanted to get a reliable car so have had Japanese and German (I know, I know, "reliable") cars exclusively. This is also the cheapest car I've ever bought, so that it is the both the cheapest (cost and maintenance) and currently has a 100% reliability trackrecord with me. . .I'm happy. I bought the extended factory warranty with the lighting coverage also, so bumper to bumper AND the lighting group (those LED nacelles can cost a bomb if they need to be replaced for some reason), so I'm covered for 8-yrs total. Never held on to a car for 8 yrs, but I find that I'm in no rush to trade this one in just yet. Totally agree with you on the steering-wheel, I wish it were thicker like my prior Audi S4. Also agree with jonesin' for 4/all wheel drive next. I live where it snows and I gotta account for that, and I'm starting to miss a bigger car if I'm being honest. But I can't complain if I'm being honest. Nothing at all to complain about. One of the most positive ownership experiences I've ever had!
I have a 2016 ST3 and it’s been a great car so far. 24k with a Ford Performance exhaust, green filter, and FSWerks 93 octane tune. The one thing that has annoyed me have been the seats, well really just the driver’s seat.. I had to place some Whiteline links under the seat to correct the lateral shifting of the seat and then tighten the 4 bolts (also using some Loctite) under the seat cover as these started to loosen slightly and cause the seat tray to shift. It’s solid now with these fixes, but it was kind of annoying for a while. Have you had any of these issues with your seats?
Hey man quick questions. I have a ‘17 ST and I was wondering what torque tune you were talking about? Sounds like something I’d be very interested in! Thanks!
At the time of this video, did you have any other performance modifications that made you get the ford performance calibration? Or is the calibration something that can be done witb a bone stock ST?
New subscriber, love your videos! I'm the proud new owner here of a 2013 ST2 with 36k miles on it! I was excited when I bought the car and all you videos have been making me feel even better about a long term ownership. The only concern for me is pulling a pwc trailer since the ST will be replacing my 98' Landcruiser. I've looked up info on forums, seen images of people pulling trailers, and am led to believe I could pull up to 1500lb no problem. I've got the stealth hitch ordered but does anyone have experience towing with their ST? Especially in regards to long distances and on boat launches?
I have a 2013 st2, I was wondering what you thought about getting a tune on your car before getting a down pipe put on. I’ve heard it might run too rich and that’s why you should get a tune but I was wondering if you agree?
Good video dude. Couple of interesting things, I'm in the UK I have a 2015 focus st from new my car does not have the sound symposor tube the sound comes from the speaker's. Also the shell v power over here is 99 octain the car definitely runs better on 99.. be interesting how the valves look after 50 thousand miles?
Octane numbers are different between uk and us, 91 in the us is about the equivalent of 95 over here and 93 us is about the same as 99 uk. You're right though i only ever use tesco 99 or v power which is also 99.
Hi! Great videos about this St, but I have some questions regarding it. You see, I'm from Europe, and here we have the brand old new St with 280 hp from de 2,3 ecoboost, but it's really expensive..anyway My question is, if this car is spacious, I mean, if in the backseat can be ok for 2 or 3 persons without problems, and also the trunk, can be ok for a family with one children? In one word, I just want to know if this car worth for the confort and using it for daily drive. I'm kinda thinking to buy one of these and I'm still looking on youtube about this model, but, like I said, i'm still thinking. Thank you so much and i'm waiting your answer!! Regardes!!
John Doe well done you earn the award of most stupid comment of the day. Please tell ken block not to push it too hard or people who hill climb it and drive regularly on track. Guess you enjoy just driving gentle and washing your car 😘

Santa Ana guys tend to like the motorcraft brand stuff that ford recommends but im sure there’s other fine options.
You can't verify online, but I have a feeling you don't know how to drive stick and or abused that car
Yep I need one you sold me. I want one so bad! Keep up the great work!!!
I got a used 2017 Same color and rims as yours but NO leather. LOVE IT. One of the best cars I've ever owned
Any issues so far ?
How is the car now?
Had a 2014 for a three year lease. Turned it in. A year later I needed a daily driver. I just bought a used 2018 with 14k. It's been great! No problems and everything in the car is tight, more so than my first. Didn't realize I'd miss it so much. Wanted to get my hands on one before they're gone for good. I always kicked myself in the ass for selling my 2005 SRT 4. Not happening this time around. And yes the front wheel drive does get tiring but this car is a a great driving experience! It's a keeper
I love my 14 ST but am changing it for the Veloster N, ordered 1 out of the 200 canadian one 🤟🏻
Lucky guy. N seems a good car
Very informative. Currently debating a few rides, and this is one of them.
How many now? I have an ‘18 ST1 I’ve had now for right at about 2 years and I thought my 24k miles was quite a bit already haha
Just got my 2016 ST and it’s absolutely the best car I’ve ever owned so far. Looking forward to the next meet up man!!
I’ve had my “18 ST3 for 6 months and I love it. Gonna upgrade to the RS in a couple years
So your going to buy a used RS that someone else beat the shit out of😂😂😂😂 Aidan hahn
joshua holiday haha yeah man essentially! I’m hoping to find one with under 15k on her.
Lol that's tuff but hopefully possible
Thats like getting a girlfriend after she fucked a football team.
A lot of 18' RS' are popping up here with like 3000km back at the dealer for sale. Not sure why
currently looking at the 16 st, actually going tomorrow to possibly sign the papers. your video pretty much sold me on it. i drove a 17 wrx, and yeah. i liked it and it was fun. but i also drove the st and just had so much more fun with it and felt more connected to it while driving. thanks for the fantastic review on such a great, affordable sports car.
You got it! I have over 150 videos on it so check them out. You will learn a lot
My dealer said every 3000 .on oil change and tire rotate every 6000. 18st
@@gregring525 Lmao 3k oil change nooo way..
Per dealer. Lmao all you want.
All my LOLs at people getting ripped off for oil changes at the dealer. Do it yourself
This was the first oil change for the ST. Dealer I go to recommends every 5K even though the manual says 7500.
have you looked into an oil catch can? ecoboost engines are great but i think what theyre lacking on is their direct injections carbon build up detail. maybe in the future you can make a video on one..?
And how to avoid that build up carbon any advice any precautions thanks
Crc turbo and valve cleaner 👌👌👌 every 10,000 miles. No carbon build up
I really dig your videos mah dude.
9/10 for me❤️
Awesome to hear!!

I plan on getting a 13 focus st as my second car. Looking forward to it!

Oops.. the I meant Mitsubishi Eclipse GT... not Spyders!
I found my ST to be so much tighter" in performance AND quality! Being a Subaru, I was surprised that the WRX was so loose performance wise and "tinny" in quality!
I've owned 2015 ST2 for 6.5 years and enjoyed it every freaking day.

Good to hear and before and after pictures?
My 13 st3 is one of the cars that I have absolutely loved. But, I have to get rid of it, I am a big guy (6ft 2in, 300lbs) and with my daughter's car seat in on the passenger side there is no room for anyone else. The recaro seats are hard on me but I live with it because of my love of this car, it's a dream car for me. But I have to say goodbye sadly.
That stinks but at least you got to enjoy it for a while
I’m impressed at how little you drive. 42k In 3 years, I put on about 30k a year
I've been subscriber for a while.
That’s awesome you have a type R. I am selling my ST soon
@@Gjeebs congrats on that BMW man. It's sad to see the focus st chronicles come to an end. I look forward to watching your new car vids though.

I've had my Magnetic '18 ST since July and I'm already at stage 3 full bolt-ons with a JST tune (93 octane and E30 mix). I love the added power. It really wakes this car up. I've also done some suspension upgrades and the handling is awesome.
Silver Punk cool, have you thought of the block blowing open due to not being able to handle too much power? Very common in these

Thanks for another good one. Looking forward to the walnut blast.
With the Recarros, I don't get that impression.....
@@1teamski the recaros actually sit higher than the cloth seats, I can't fit in the car if I had bought one with them.
wacky dinky nowadays people want to sit higher for improved visibility and so you are not getting off the floor when you climb out. My Civic hatch sits too for me. Ultimately it's the fault of the auto makers and the manual adjustments not working well . I would rather pay extra for comfy seats than any of this brainless technology for crash avoidance.
Subbed.
Looking to get focus ST for my birthday

STs and RS' only came manual.
@@FuerzaImperialOficial I already knew this.
Hey bro I was thinking of getting an ST, was wondering if it is worth it. Don't know what year. And also are they reliable??
I'm looking to buy a used he said
it’s 2013 st2 I bought it stock with 32k on it it’s now at 68k and raising. It lowered on springs and new struts probably 15k miles on them. It has 2.5inch straight pipe from the cat back. Can come with a 3inch catless downpipe and an accessport
Got other small mods like sound symposer delete and fswerks short shifter with solid shift cable bushings and solid shift mounts
And I also have a Cobb RMM that’s not on the car"" its red and looks clean.

Get T clamps for your hoses and that won’t happen. Happened to me too
Gjeebs thanks for the advice, I will definitely get some t clamps, but I figured out the reason it came off was because the previous owner didn’t have the intercooler bolted to the bracket it was sitting on and I was moving around. I’m still going to get t clamps to keep it from happening again
I’m looking to purchase a ST if you could get a hold of me I have a few questions about it. Thanks!
If you have Facebook, find my page under Gjeebs RUclips channel and message me on there or email rgbgfive@gmail.com
Lol I think you can ask anyone about an st
Keep at it Gjeebs, next update dyno results
Blew my ringland on cylinder 1 with JST. Hes popped a few STs up here in Colorado.
The Cobb will give you more more feedback and is customizable where the ford calibration you just put it on and that’s it
Hoping to start my focus st journey tomorrow
Congrats!
Just a heads up the Veloster N is jumps and leaps ahead of Focus ST in terms of refinement and driving performance. Mind you the Focus ST (US spec) has been around since 2013 now.
Yea I bet it’s a blast to drive but the new focus ST that is out in Europe is right there with it
I don't own an ST. But wanted hear from owner's feed back..
Do you know how direct injection works? Running Shell fuel will not help on this motor. Catch cans will prevent buildup on intake valves.
I have owned my 13 st3 since 2014 and never had issues but to be honest I'm bored with it, not enough horsepower so I'm probably going to try to buy a terminator next and a pick up as a daily.
Do the focus St and RS share the same 6spd transmission? And if not can the rs transmission boot up to the 2.0 in the st?
Nice Arnold Palmer sweater ;)
The King!
Car sounds good , almost like the neon SRT
Another great video my man !!!
Thank you!
The Veloster has terribly short rear headroom. I sat in the back of one and my head was pressing into the ceiling.
Whoa hey. Drop us a link for the remap from Ford that increased the torque by so much. Holy moly.
Im in the UK and have the 2013 ST3 and I love it. Even better with shell 99 octane fuel
Great to hear!!
Thanks!
ford performance calibration
Getting the armrest in the back seat is my biggest regret for not getting a st3 over my st2....

Have you ever thought about the Mountune MP275 Performance upgrade? That's the only long term major upgrade I have really thought of for my Focus ST.
Yes that is another tune I highly recommend
New subscriber, love your videos! I'm the proud new owner here of a 2013 ST2 with 36k miles on it! I was excited when I bought the car and all you videos have been making me feel even better about a long term ownership. The only concern for me is pulling a pwc trailer since the ST will be replacing my 98' Landcruiser. I've looked up info on forums, seen images of people pulling trailers, and am led to believe I could pull up to 1500lb no problem. I've got the stealth hitch ordered but does anyone have experience towing with their ST? Especially in regards to long distances and on boat launches?
Ok that's it. I've been wanting one for the last 2 years and you sir have just completely convinced be to buy one. THANK YOU
I have a 2013 st2, I was wondering what you thought about getting a tune on your car before getting a down pipe put on.
What's a good upgrade path? As far as the cheapest things to do
Hi would you recommend a ford focus 1.6 and if so what the biggest problem with them
You should buy a BMW 228i M-Sport or 230i with M-Sport. Possibly keep the ST due to the 2 series being a cheaper variant than the M2.
Hi! Great videos about this St, but I have some questions regarding it.
You see, I'm from Europe, and here we have the brand old new St with 280 hp from de 2,3 ecoboost, but it's really expensive..anyway
My question is, if this car is spacious, I mean, if in the backseat can be ok for 2 or 3 persons without problems, and also the trunk, can be ok for a family with one children? In one word, I just want to know if this car worth for the confort and using it for daily drive.
I'm kinda thinking to buy one of these and I'm still looking on youtube about this model, but, like I said, i'm still thinking.
Thank you so much and i'm waiting your answer!!
