As a result, the music delivers confessional lyricism by way of soulful intimacy as part of one cohesive narrative on his 2019 full-length debut, Sing To Me Instead. The 12-track album, which was primarily produced by Jenn Decilveo, chronicles the highs and lows of a transformative relationship. At first i was so confused when he was looking at pictures of himself then i started to cry
His "bad habit" is a photographer who took pictures of him when they were together. Ben goes to his art show and realizes that the photographer has included his pictures, indicating that the photographer still has feelings for Ben.
Hence why the end of the video goes back to the beginning of their relationship. Ben has said this song is a prologue that is written after the break up. the rest of the album is a flashback to the relationship, with "ease my mind" being the beginning of the relationship.

Ben says "hate to say it's dark in here but it's true" and that's why he often transitions from the real world to a dark room, because he's falling back to his bad habit.
Also, the photos he focuses on are of him and of the photographer, so it seems obvious the photographer is his bad habit
