Hi Nick, word from an old sparky. Use knee pads. I have been a sparky for 40 years and my knees are not good. Kneeling on concrete floors on site chopping boxes in

  • @cjkokay

100% knee pads and I always long pants and long shirt. No matter how hot. Other considerations are safety glass when using the stapler above (dust etc), and. Of course mask as necessary
Dehydration. Plain water (cool or room temp, not cold).

21:56 oh that's fun. If only more houses had THAT MUCH LUXURIOUS SPACE! Think of all the ease of wiring the entire house! Imagine if there were utility tubes you can just push cables up to get to the 2nd, 3rd floors! I'd sleep in these crawlspaces just to not have to ruin floors/walls for the customer.

Feeling your pain under the floor doing that rewire. Not a pleasant experience but needs must. I was doing a rewire local to me and didn't plan the workload very well as I ended up in the attic during those 2 ridiculously hot days. Literally dripping off me 🥵. Poor planning on my part. Loving these Monday to Friday snippets. Keep up the great work 👍🏼

As for the sickness google heat stroke or sun stroke, had it a few times and it makes you really ill, plenty of fluids, and food try and keep cool, and baby wipes to wipe your face neck all help keep cool, heat stroke creeps up on you, and can make you unconscious so be aware of it.

KNEE PADS are not expensive, two new knee joints in your 50's/60's would cost a lot more and you will have pain from 40's. Don't ask me how I know about the pain (not worth doing the knees now, destined for the old peoples home and a bath chair pushed about by some lovely young........ suffice to say I limp now in retirement. Come on NICK show a good example please.
