Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

We're is Jim is he OK
As Onyx and Jim get older their roles are slowly reversing . Jim is working fewer hours every year enjoying his retirement and Onyx is working more and more.
@@MillennialFarmer I'm sure he's earned it!
I just asked the same question.
@@MillennialFarmerwell an interesting video would be Jim showing onyx the job.
Baby boomer vs gen z
I have been wondering where Jim is also!! We miss seeing Jim.
As a farmer myself , i cant imagine having to carry a camera along on a busy planting day..Great respect to Zack for the hard work ..
That skid loader with the rock tosser is amazing!!!! That thing really flings the rocks!!
Seems much quicker and more effective than the pull behind the tractor type.
It’s amazing how realistic the green screen looks in the background!
I swear I could hear a breeze too! 🤣🤣
How about a status report on Jim? Best Wishes for him. Thanks.
Ana.exe had stopped responding for a moment. Please rub belly to reset dog.
Too funny … lol
😆😅🤣 Nice one !!!
8:32 - had a good chuckle at your Dad's reaction here. I've seen that same reaction from my own Dad more times than I can count when relaying equipment breakdowns to him. 😂
I love your dad’s reaction to the cylinder pin breaking😂
the word you where looking for was perspired. in literature and film always remember, horses sweat, men perspire, women glisten.
Women glow.
So first you have your ultra health electrolite drink and then you have a monster!😂😂
Your doing well. Don’t look too stressed out during planting… oh I forgot it’s just a green screen…….lol
That was the closest I ever saw your dad being mad. That is a man with great self control.
It’s the makeup of the “Minnesota Nice” personality
The Deal is to realise that being mad and shouting andscreaming doesn't fix the Roller and just creates a Bad work Environment. So stay calm, figure out a plan, distribute the work that needs To be done and keep on working.
At the end of the day what does getting mad even accomplish? The fact of the matter is that there is something broken and it's preventing work from being done. The more time spent being mad means more time until things are back up and running, which is what you are mad about in the first place. Might as well just deal with what is. Once things are back up and running, then you can get back in your cab and yell at the windshield.
When is FBN gonna have a spray for rocks? Im waiting
If you invent a spray to get rid of rocks, you will be able to buy out Warren Buffet with your spare change😂😂😂
Great videos Zach!
Hey Becky and Zach, I really enjoy it when I get notified that you've posted a new video, they never disappoint - thank you for taking the time to film them. I'm sure it can sometimes be a pain and inconvenient to do so while trying to hustle and get so much done during the good weather, so the fact you've been doing this daily for years is impressive (and appreciated!). And thank you, Becky, for all the work in putting them together, the unsung hero of such a successful RUclips channel for so long. Editing is not a walk in the park. Love it, and please keep them coming.
Love your videos for. I always look forward to them.
Zach and Becky you both with Dad and the family do an outstanding job each and every day thanks to FBN and Zach you and Chet Larson give the best explanations of what is going on and who you are dealing with to make it happen it a blessing to have guys like you out there explanations are what I live on that and hands on farming thank you for outstanding video's Becky is a great editor and mom.
I stumbled on another multi generational Minnesota farming family. His RUclips channel is HiTech Farmer. His channel is small but very interesting. He gives excellent explanations of new technologies and farming applications.
Hi from Deutschland
I'm guessing that part at the end where it looks like you're tired, that part is staged and you're actually ready to go plant more beans?
Kool video Zach. Thanks Becky for the editing. 🚜🚜🚜
Great video today. I'm a long time viewer. I think it's edited perfectly today. I appreciate what y'all are doing! We'd get along just fine Zach. Have a blessed spring season.
I remember hauling rocks when I help my Dad. I excuse him one year of putting some rocks from the year before back in the field, because I told him some of these rocks looked like the ones from last year. Thanks for the video
Darn for a minute there I thought I was watching a commercial you're going to have a second career doing commercials for who knows what you have the talent for it it's good to see a Millennial multitasking
The only good thing about rocks is that when it’s real windy they stop the drifting!,, 😂
They hold the dirt down.
There’s another good thing about rocks: wherever there’s a rock in a flower bed, there’s no weed. Save rocks!🤪
Bro thx do much you are the reason i started my youtube Channel❤
Thank you for the video.
Hey Zach, my wife and I have been drinking LMNT for over a year, it really is great stuff, my favorite flavor is watermelon, glad they partnered with you, this stuff really works! 👍
Great video and you work hard good job keep it on thank you for video
Glad you got some planting in.
Thank you for letting me watch.
Greetings from Lisbon - Portugal
All good!
My favorite sound on all of your videos is the sound of you unscrewing and checking the dipsticks on the tractors lol 😂
I dont mind seeing planting over an over .. enjoyed watching
Mrs. Millennial Farmer is sure a good video editor.... the less-recognized power of the channel.
Great video!
I only comment To generate better algorithm, love the green screen
All the new JD tractors at Glenwood. I was to CFSA drove past. I have not seen that many there in 6 years. Hope my new to me roller works well. Without hose failure.
Any chance for an Anna and Ditch shirt?
Nice to see things going normal? Sites is a good puppy. Not sure if I spelt that correctly. Hope all goes well next day thanks for the video
Larsons have a set-up where they can make their own hydraulic hoses. Fast!
It's only money.
Best RUclips channel
Thanks
The train horn sound bite at the Deere Dealer is nice that is quite a sound dept you have ...nice touch. Lol
What a cleaver rock picker - Glacial till. Rocks forever.
I’m stuck between watermelon and Raspberry salt flavor, I’m glad to you turned me onto them drinks mixes!!
We used a summers rock picker for a long time. They are very effective and can cover a lot of ground. Here in michigan, we have fields that have more rocks than dirt .
Oh boy. You sure do look tired. Best of luck on the rest of bean planting. No more hose breaks. 😊
If I have learned anything by watching @MillennialFarmer for the last 2 year is that there is always something that is going to break and needs to be fixed!
Pretty cool rock picker
Aaron with the absolute turnaround in episode of the show, while it's been starting to feel all going way too easy ... SNAP! (literally lol)
Zach, you keep forgetting to bring your purse, when you put your drink in your new cup holder. 😁
It’s calledcryoturbation, bringing rocks up to the surface through the freeze and thaw cycle
Man farm sim field stones is really realistic
Night time play time cramps sucks kills the mood 😅
Thanks for another great video Zach and dad and onyx and Aaron and Becky.
It was a super interesting video and most enjoyable.
Thanks for your note on Jim. Can certainly understand that onyx is doing some of Jim’s work. Say hi to Jim for us.
Sorry about the breakdown on the roller. Honestly believe Aaron felt bad about causing the breakdown. Things will happen. Best to fix it and press on. Was a learning experience. Sorry for your expenses fixing the hose and pieces. I felt bad for your dad as he wanted the planter running instead of fixing a roller. But he handled it in a good way. He is a really good person.
We had a roller and they look simple but reality is they are hard to fold and unfold.
Sorry for your breakdown.
Zach you got the planter going in due time and got caught up some but know you wanted to be farther than you were. Give her heck tomorrow.
The Johnson farm operation had a really super busy day with four pieces of equipment all moving. The more moving pieces the more that has to be looked after.
Thanks for showing us that rock picker that is operating on your farm. That was interesting. Quite the operation. Thanks.
About it I guess. Thanks for everything. You all take care and be safe.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Bummer- yep as always - it is always something happening on the farm.... :D Stay safe !
Fortunately that hose wasn't terribly hard to get to. We had a hose go bad on the planter earlier this year, but it too was an easy one to replace.
Thanks for another video!
When I've broken them they've always been like 30 ft long and is nearly impossible to thread out of the management devices (let alone putting it back).
Mornin
Saturday cartoons with my 7 year old lady bug… this great for home schooling👊🙌💯🙏🥰💪
That rock picker machine looks like a dragon.
Well I’m glad you like the house I
Great video
Love Dad's facial expressions. I know exactly what he's thinking
Looking good. Are you looking at buying one of the Stewart-Haas charters? lol
I hope the tire pressure was ok on the roller tractor. Horrible time to have a flat tire!
Can't believe all the rocks you have to deal with.
hello from ed bon jovi love this ch watch every post
You need a "rockstar" farmer shirt with your effortless rock farming yeilds
ZACH, I noticed you don't wipe the oil dip stick off when you check the oil. We had some John deere tractors were i worked before i retired would show the engine oil ok when it was one to two quart low.
I use the same 8rt tractor and planter on farming simulator I really enjoy your channel 😂
Horses sweat, People perspire 🤨. I love this channel.
My grandma taught me "Men sweat, ladies glow"
For this being a studio production, you definitely get a lot of small details right. We all like to say, "We have a lot to watch and monitor in the tractor. Lots of things on the monitor and more on the implement." but at the end of the day I've watched countless hours of tv/youtube/podcasts/etc. I like to joke that the monitor will beep if there's an issue (even though 90% of the time that's not the case).
Hello from South Dakota #3
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. So your telling us that God is your script writer. Wishing you and your fellow cohosts “family “ the best.
Get those beans planted!!! I hope you don't have to go over that corn again.
Love it
I am glad your farm is not suffering from the writers' strike
Can’t afford union labor😂
The cost of playing FARM!!
i seen your name on the entry list at mississippi thunder speedway
Didge and anna montage needed
Hi Zach I watching our videos very day and I live in Tucson Arizona
Nice place just drove by
Thanks for making me think of Urkel...
Nice Ernest reference
Those rocks were delivered to your place by the glaciers during the ice age! Notice they are all rounded from tumbling!
Planting going well. Rolling not so much!!
That rock picker! 🔥
Whod like to shout jim a beer and have vid of seeing zac drop it off to him and say this is from your fans jim 🤠
We’re fixing to get the double crop beans in very soon. Fingers crossed😂
Aaron definitely did that!😂😂
Those look like the races in Knoxville. I used to live there.
You blow hydraulic hose and there goes 5 gallons of hydraulic fluid.
Dont stress the combine will find that pin come harvest. 😉
Tell John at Mandako to secure the hydraulic pins for 💩sakes 😂😂😂
Well come ji
Still impressed with the rock locating and removal.
Come on man we need some CatDog shirts and if Jim ever retires I want his spot LOL Michael from North Carolina
The “actor” playing Millennial Farmer is doing a fantastic job at keeping everything running 😀😀😀😀😀😀
@5:06 "That's what SHE said!" LOLOLOL
I am guessing you had caps for those fittings? Lots of dirt flying
