I just happed up on this video when I was checking out more of your videos to add to my routine. You are right. This is not a comfortable subject for most of us women, but it something that should be talked about. Thanks for putting this out there. As I've aged I've begun to experience some of unwanted symptoms of a weakened pelvic floor. In seeing a specialist she told me she wished MORE women shared this subject with each other. We all need to know we can help ourselves by doing simple exercises. Several you demonstrated here. You and your mom are my fav people to work out with. You are both delightful; a mother and daughter at their best! Your mom's comments always makes me smile. We are close in age I believe, and share the same sense of humor. Thanks again for putting this out there💜

Aloha Healthy Fit Ladies. I was wondering (hoping) if you could show an exercise to help with being able to jump from floor to step, up? I just realized the other day I've lost my ability to do that and its really upset to me. Thank you for your videos. I greatly appreciate them.
Aloha, friend! We invite to take a look at our "How to Get to the Floor" video (bit.ly/3pz79bQ) that includes instructions on how to get up from the floor. Being able to get down to and up from the floor requires overall strength in your upper body, core, and lower body. So I recommend doing our strength training videos that focus on these areas. You can start with our Full Body Strength Workout (bit.ly/3o3xC2i) and build from there. Do this workout twice a week with at least 24 hours between sessions to let you muscles rest and recover. In that rest period, you can do cardio work if you're up for it and/or stretching or rest. It's most important to listen to your body and rest when you need to.
Thank you so much again! I was wondering, do you think these workouts are enough for me? I am 52 years old and I have 8 children, from 31 years old down to 8 years old. I am truly blessed and “busy “ but I am not sure I am pushing hard enough. Thank you for your advice and I really do love you two beautiful ladies. I so look forward to that quiet time I can pull aside and workout with you! Thank you and have a wonderful day! Christine 💕❤️🌸
Wow! You are a superwoman! Sounds like you get an excellent workout caring for your wonderful children, especially the younger ones! In a full house, you deserve some YOU time for self-care that includes exercises and relaxation. You are the best judge of workouts that are challenging. We invite you to try our cardio and strength workouts and see how they feel -- you're not breaking a sweat and can talk without any issues after a 10 minute walk? Try a 20 minute walk and/or walk at a faster pace. With the strength training, with a specific exercise, is the weight light after 8 repetitions? Then you can increase the weight or resistance slightly. The pelvic floor exercises can and should be done by everyone at any level. Is this helpful? Please share more info and we're happy to help! Thank you so much for spending time with us! ❤️

It's a bit early in the day to actually do these exercises. The Kegel can be done anywhere, any time. I've found them unpleasant to do even though, as Aiko had said, the exercise involves a normal function. In continual sequence I've found it to be disquieting. I see the value in them nonetheless. Since I have congenital spondilolisthesis, I'm familiar with the bird dog and bridges, as they also serve to strengthen the core, and am able to do the advanced version in the former, and in the latter, the full form where the entire front of the body is slanted but in straight formation. An excellent delivery, sprinkled with delicate humor. Must get over my discomfort and get to those Kegels! Thank you both, as always...Anastasia
Thank you! Always good to see you and to know what exercise routines are on schedule for you! It's good that you are familiar with the bird dog and bridges as they help to strengthen your core! You are as usual, spot on about listening to your body and to modify exercise moves when needed. Yes, Kegel exercises are well known and while they can be unsettling, you have to admit they can be done anytime and anywhere! No one knows you are "kegeling" except you! Ha! But they are important to helping your pelvic floor muscles stay strong! Think about working them into your routines. Keep up your usual great work! See you soon! ❤️
Thank you SO MUCH for this video and for addressing the topic and giving us something to help! I am so glad I've found you ladies. Thank you. Question please - is there a modification or alternate for bird dog and the one following it for those of us with damaged knees?
We're so happy you found us! Some exercises in our Core Floor workout may be easier on your knees: ruclips.net/video/q0AE7I5Znrg/видео.html I'm thinking the pelvic tilt and butterfly may be gentle for you. We hope this is helpful! Thank you for spending time with us! ❤️
Bless mom for getting on the floor. I can barely get up and down. Is there a good way for older people to get down and up again, might be a good video to make. Also, I’m so please to see the exercises with a chair, I recently pulled something on the side of my ankle on my walks and was looking for a way to keep moving until my ankle feels better. Thank you for thinking of older people and beginners.
Hi there! We understand the challenges in getting to the floor and created a video that provides a way to do that: ruclips.net/video/rc9y7lMD-78/видео.html We hope it's helpful. Wishing your ankle a speedy recovery! Glad our chair workouts can help you stay active. You can also focus on strengthening your upper body during this period of recovery. Keep up the great work and see you soon! ❤️
We understand. Please just do the first exercise - the Kegels. Also we invite you to try our Core Floor workout that has moves including the pelvic tilt and butterfly that may be easier on your knees. ruclips.net/video/q0AE7I5Znrg/видео.html
Thank you! Good to see you! We are sure you are doing them correctly! The movements are simple and involve few muscles! Keep practicing! See you soon! ❤️
Hi there! We understand. Yes, you can do these in bed. We also invite you to try our two other bed stretching videos: Morning Stretches: bit.ly/2L8XUPx and Bedtime Stretches: bit.ly/3tGGJZB ❤️
Thanks both of you mam for accepting my joke and answering it. Your channels are very helpful but I don't know how to go about it so I practise one set of exercises for one month .Is it ok?
Thank you for this video. Wondering about the breathing when we do these exercises. Do we do the inhales n exhales or do we try n breathe normally during the exercises. Thank you again. I don't think enough emphasis is given on how important these exercises are from a young age n especially after you've given birth
So happy this helpful. Generally, inhale during relaxation and exhale on exertion. So for kegels: exhale as you contract and pull in and inhale as you relax; glute bridge: exhale as you lift hips, inhale as you lower hips; table top: inhale as you open knees, exhale as you close knees; bird dog: exhale as you lift arm and/or leg; hold and take one or two breaths; exhale as you lower arm and/or leg.
We understand. All the exercises can be done in bed except for the bird dog -- it requires a firm surface for stability. The kegels can be done seated in a chair as well. ❤️
We understand. The Kegels in this video can be done laying down, sitting or even standing. Also, some exercises in our Core Floor workout may be easier on your knees: ruclips.net/video/q0AE7I5Znrg/видео.html The pelvic tilt and butterfly may be gentle for you. We hope this is helpful! Thank you for spending time with us. Wishing you strength! ❤️

Hi Diane! Nice to hear from you. My mom's name Aiko is pronounced "eye-ko." Wonderful that you practice beginner Hatha yoga. Great addition. With the new Beginner and Intermediate 30 day plans, could they be put as a group on your You Tube channel?
Those two groupings are my challenges for 2022. You are always finding ways to engage us! Thanks! 💖
Yes! That's a great idea - thank you! We'll be happy to group each set in a Playlist. Love that they are your 2022 Challenges!! Stay tuned. Keep up the AWESOME work!!
@@yes2next 👍 and to Mochi 😻
I wish I could do this exercise. I have knee problems so I can’t get up off the floor. All your exercises are great workouts. Thanks so much. ❤
Thank you! Understandable about your knees but all is not lost! (You are not alone either!) Here is a link to give you another way to do pelvic floor exercises without getting on the floor! YAY! Hope you will give it a try! Keep moving with us! See you soon! ❤️

You are very welcome! Thanks for joining us! Keep moving with us too! See you soon!
Thank you
You are very welcome! Thanks for joining us! Keep moving with us too!

Thanks for introducing pelvic floor exercises. I tried them. They are pretty useful.
Thank you! Happy the exercise helped! Keep up the good work and keep moving with us! See you soon!
Thank you for directing me to the video about getting up and down from the floor. ❤️
Wonderfull you both are stars
Thank you for the sweet words! Keep it going and keep moving with us! See you soon! ❤️
Your suggestion, please. I have knee problem.
We understand. Please just do the first exercise - the Kegels. Also we invite you to try our Core Floor workout that has moves including the pelvic tilt and butterfly that may be easier on your knees. ruclips.net/video/q0AE7I5Znrg/видео.html
Yes! Helpful, but hard to know if I’m doing them right…
Thank you! Good to see you! We are sure you are doing them correctly! The movements are simple and involve few muscles! Keep practicing! See you soon! ❤️
Hi thank you both for all this wonderful videos.
Can I do this on the bed ? I can't go on the floor😥😓
We're so happy our videos are helpful. These exercises can be done everyday. Did we answer your question?
Great videos. As I can't get on the floor. Would it be possible to do these in bed? Or are there other options that I could get the same benefits?
We understand. All the exercises can be done in bed except for the bird dog -- it requires a firm surface for stability. The kegels can be done seated in a chair as well. ❤️
Is it good for hypertension pelvic floor muscle?
It's important to check with your doctor on the best exercises and remedies for hypertonic pelvic floor.
Thanks for these and the reminder. As we age we don't want to laugh too hard and heaven forbid sneeze around others 😉
Ain't that the truth! We all know the feeling! ha! Thanks for joining us! Keep moving with us too! See you soon! ❤️
I have a total knee replacement so kneeling is not an option for me. Is there an alternative exercise that you could recommend?
We understand. The Kegels in this video can be done laying down, sitting or even standing. Also, some exercises in our Core Floor workout may be easier on your knees: ruclips.net/video/q0AE7I5Znrg/видео.html The pelvic tilt and butterfly may be gentle for you. We hope this is helpful! Thank you for spending time with us. Wishing you strength! ❤️
Good morning April and I cannot pronounce you Mom's name, Ikon? Thank you for this helpful video. I am practicing beginner Hatha Restorative Yoga. You and your mom are going at my speed! I have one question. I have a high abdominal hernia that does not bother me at all. We farm and my doctor cautioned no heavy lifting anymore. Can I preform that bridge? I have done it before. It that a modified, partial bridge? I look forward to following your channel. Do you have an email address? Thank you - Diane
Hi Diane! Nice to hear from you. My mom's name Aiko is pronounced "eye-ko." Wonderful that you practice beginner Hatha yoga. It would be best to check with your doctor on whether the glute bridge or a modified glute bridge is safe for you to do. (your doctor knows what's best). We're honored to help you stay active and get stronger. You can email us at yes2next@gmail.com. Thank you so much for spending time with us! See you soon! ❤️
