There’s a constant with Zhang. Whenever she’s exposed to a conflict she does not know how to react.
Zhang's interpretation of the rules is... interesting. Would love to see a rulebook and see if it's accurate. "Well, there is clearly a mark showing the call was botched and the ball was out, but since no other mark exists, we go with the original call." Like... what???
She’s completely incompetent. She is in every one of these videos making a terrible call, or telling the players she didn’t see something clearly.

Putintseva actually making a legit point. They really do need to design the courts for the players first. Otherwise what is the point? Its hardly a showdown of player v player when theres a circus sharing the arena, and rowdy fans, and peoples phones ringing and a shiny new Porsche parked in the corner

That Zhang lady is one of the WORST chair umpires I’ve ever seen. She’s never certain on anything. How did she get to this level?
10 times out of 10 that chair umpire Zhang always fudges something up, she’s embarrassingly terrible 😂
Can’t believe she’s not too ashamed to step foot on court at this point. If I made a mistake as horrible as hers here I would consider quitting. She manages to do this on a weekly basis. She’s so stupid it’s mind boggling

It's ridiculous that they are still messing about with marks on the court for clay. Just use Hawkeye like all the other tournaments
That costs a lot of money. Most tournaments are probably barely breakeven.

One thing I will NEVER understand about Tennis, why dont they just use instant replay??? If there is a dispute, look at one of the 50 cameras recording the action and get it right!! Why elave it up to judgement which is sometimes wrong???

Sakkari’s argument is so bad. She’s trying to say the ball was in and she’s talking how it bounced way out into the stands? The umpire even does everything Sakkari asks for and she still finds ways to keep complaining.
I feel bad for Cornet. How are you incapable of continuing until someone comes to look at your hands and then all of a sudden you come back from down a break to win the set? It’s a shame to see tactics like that actually working

Players have been complaining about these calls for ages and nothing has changed on clay. It’s ridiculous!
It is time they started using the automated line calls for clay courts and eliminate unnecessary unhuman errors.
Then we'd have much fewer of these highlights!

I really think she’s just really dumb. She’s had some cheating attempts, but the majority of her issues are over her not understanding extremely basic rules. No idea how she has so little awareness or why her coach hasn’t taught her… you know… the rules

I can easily believe that lovely Sorana is correct while complaining about the condition of that one court in Foro Italico. I have been to the tournament for couple of times and remember already in 2012 Jarmila Gajdosova complaining about that court and as I watched the bounces and general condition of it I saw it was nowhere near the level it should be in a WTA tournament. And they still haven't been able to fix that court? If they can't fix it, there shouldn't be any matches on it.
Rome is also the place where Simona got 2 bad injuries in 2017 and 2021 (which has totally messed up her career)

Holy shit, that Zheng's ball was as obviously out as that infamous McEnroe serve as in, almost for the very same reasons. You can clearly see clay fly up as the ball hits out

One other thing...I would suggest not tapping your racket on the mark but rather draw a circle around it. That is what we did on clay and in that way the umpire cannot say that you caused the mark.

I started watching these "Drama" videos thinking these ladies are just Drama Queens but after watching many they are correct at least half the time and the linesmen/women and the chair are very often wrong. Perhaps they carry on too long but this is their livelyhood and they are fighters. BTW that J Zhang is a disgrace.

How could Vukov hear what Ostapenko said to Rybakina? He was sitting behind Rybakina and she didn't hear what Ostapenko said. He's so fishy, she should replace him. Regarding Kudermetova, that was so rude of her to say that the line umpire is very old
If they only allow timeouts on your own serve, it will stop all gamesmanship. You need an “immediate” timeout on my serve? Fine, I get a free service hold, now it’s your serve and you can have your timeout.
The problem with that is, that there are still issues with real injuries etc that need attending to. I mean let´s say you lose 1st set, you´re in the 2nd set down 5-3 and opponent is gonna serve for the match, the point where it becomes 5-3 you twist your ankle, so you should give up the whole match cuz you twist your ankle, it´s just that the refs have no viable options to really check if the injury is real enough or not, I´d say use doctors of the tournament, who determine if she has to play on RN, or can have his/her own physio on the court.
@@007696191000 I notice nobody ever needs a timeout on his/her own serve. They actually changed the rule, now you can only take a timeout at a changeover. If it’s 2-2, you forfeit a game to 3-2, then get your timeout. This just happened at the 2023 French Open.
