Excellent tip. Using the left shoulder as the fulcrum in the swing is the easiest way to develop consistency of strike with irons. Another related and very helpful tip is to not look at the ball during the swing. Instead pick a spot 2 to 3 inches ahead of the ball, which is where a vertical line through the left shoulder will intersect with the ground, and keep your eyes on that spot throughout the swing. As long as you are pivoting correctly with your hips, I.e. no swaying away from the target, and maintaining your posture, you will strike the ball first and then the ground. This will cure an issue with hitting fat shots and also help counteract a problem with early release or casting.
This video is very enlightening. I've been so worried about keeping my hands forward of the ball at address.
Thanks :-) Having the hands ahead of the ball at address won't do anything to help with how you get into a good impact position. It's having the understanding of the the lead shoulder socket position which is the key 🔑
I did a Drill on what I call a "Reverse Lag Takeaway" where the hands actually get well behind the clubhead, I would combine it what you just learnt in the video 👍

On the subject of shoulder position(s) at impact any recommendations for when the left shoulder looks too high, right shoulder looks too low (face on)(and right arm looks too bent and spine looks too side tilted and crunched - downline) as far as possible causes and solutions?
What do you mean keep the left shoulder in the same position? In the backswing you move the left shoulder to the center? Not following?
A feeling like you are keeping it there, but it will move to the centre. But as long as it is not moving and further to the trail side (sway) like you see me demonstrate at the end of the video, thanks
Stop giving “lessons” lol
