I was going to make a guide on it but you anticipated me, still pretty good video!
A great tutorial, and looks quite easy. Sadly, i've never found a cheap Wii to Hdmi adapter that doesn't put lines across my screen. I did note that the blacks are crushed on Beat Down, which is the exact same problem i have with my Xbox via Hdmi, tho not an issue via component..weird.
I've been running a mod like this for maybe 2 or 3 years now, and I have got to say, It's not the best thing, especially if your display is a bit picky with resolutions over HDMI, but over all it's a convenient mod that is relatively easy to do! Also, I used adapter PCBs from a guy here in Germany which cost 2€ and the WII2HDMI was maybe 5€ so even cheaper, he also now has PCBs for PS2toHDMI and the Electron Shepherd ElectronAnalog, which I'm very interested in the difference in picture quality!

This PCB has SPDIF? Why didn't you connect those?

Would the same be possible if I took the Xbox2HDMI apart and tried to install internally as well ? (i.e with the pinout to the pcb)
The analog2hdmi (ElectronAnalog) should also work with a pinout, going to try that one next.

Yo! Which dashboard is that at 23:55 ? I am fixing to grab an Xbox and get back into modding again....
I was hardcore into Xbox modding back in 2005 and unfortunately kinda pushed out of it when my (then) 10 yo nephew decided to muck around with my highly modded XB and put a halo disc in the Xbox and try to install the XBOX live dashboard and then panicked and disconnected the power in the middle of it doing it's thang.
That would be XMBC4gamers i believe its called
problem with this adaptor, it makes the image so dark
I've done this to both of my Xbox's, a v1.1 that also needed a different cap and also a v1.6. Worked really well and keeps the cost low. I did notice that the board you used is different (and also different to the link) as it has a SPDIF solder point. Do you have the gerber files for the actual board you used?
