    NEW PART TWO SLEEPER BUILD:
    ruclips.net/video/akkH2E2o_-U/видео.html
    For extra clarification around pricing, the total cost of the Watercooling stuff and the console was $200NZD ($125USD). The arduino stuff I already had. All temperatures are in celsius. Hope you all enjoy this video! *As always if you have any feedback or thoughts, please leave a comment!
    Q&A Below.
    *. Why did I do this?
    The Xbox 360 was my first games console, and since I had never watercooled anything before, I thought It'd be fun to try water cooling it.
    *. Are you stupid?
    I went into this project with almost no research and exerience, I just went for it and made many mistakes. I've received a ton of feedback which I'm extremely grateful ful.
    *. RGH, SSD, softmod?
    This console (Xbox 360 E, Winchester Board) can't be RGH modded, I didn't know what model console I was purchasing, It was a bundle deal and I'm not complaining. Due to this video's performance, I've added it to the list to redo this video with an RGH compatible console, where watercooling, RGH, and other mods will be worth doing.
    *. That's awesome!
    Thanks!
    *. That's a waste of time and money.
    That's fair. My execution of the project was not good enough to deserve this much attention. I intend to do it justice with the second attempt.
    *. Why not a higher end console?
    Budget, lol

    • @TommyHoughton
      @TommyHoughton  8 месяцев назад

      No, I didn’t do any research and just went into the project almost unplanned. I’ve been reminded of this several times. It’s not in my intentions to perform something like this again with scripting and researching it down to the teeth. If there’s a way to access the consoles thermostat, I’d love to know as it would be much more accurate than anything I have on hand. My hand slipped with the fan screw, could happen to any one. I could have cut that clip, but I’d rather have my mistakes demonstrated so I can learn from them. At the end of the day, it’s a learning experience for me which doesn’t harm anyone unless they choose to be. Thanks for your comment.

    minecraft x360 edition was the best version of minecraft aside from java edition:
    1. it had 4-player splitscreen
    2. it had online multiplayer (i think it had up to 8 players)
    3. it was stable
    4. it ran very well
    5. it had less bugs than bugrock edition
    6. it was affordable
    7. it had minigames built-in
    cons:
    1. no mods (bedrock doesnt have either)
    2. limited world size (one map) (bedrock effectively has too)
    3. you couldnt choose which version (bedrock cant either)
    in conclusion: the xbox 360 and one versions were better than bedrock to the point where bedrock was a direct downgrade, the only thing you got out of it was that if someone was on a PC, phone, ps4, or switch, you could play on your xbox and play with them, but that introduced its own set of bugs and complexity

Using a wallpaper scraper and a screwdriver to open the console is not how you dismantle it. Why? Why not actually take care and do it properly. Such a shame. This could have been a superb video. Something thats important for lifespan is that 360 disk drives are HORRIBLE when not mounted level. Mounting them on their side, or as shown here on an angle, can massivly reduce the lifespan of the drive and also results in damage to the disks as they're not properly secured inside the drive. This is despite marketing showing the 360 standing on it's side, it's actually really bad for it.

      When purchasing this console, I didn’t know what model I was getting, it didn’t matter to much at the time as it came with a bunch of stuff, and I didn’t intent to soft-mod it. As for the warping, I had another comment mention that too. I’ve disassembled the whole project for storage until I begin part two. Cheers

    Xbox 360 e ущербная ревизия , с отвратительным дизайном и нет оптического звукового выхода, поэтому я её даже не рассматриваю.

    Wouldn't it be great if he showed more than just minecraft playing for 10 seconds? Maybe it's like we also wanted to see some gameplay, not just Bane's venom tanks. Why do these builders keep doing this? Show me the performance!!

    Instead, you could have reset glitch hacked (RGH) the console which would show the temps and would have been cheaper.

    nothing against the project

      @TommyHoughton  9 месяцев назад

      I’d definitely like to. For this console since it doesn’t need to be premium, I won’t be changing much except the essentials. But since I want to revisit this project again sometime with an RGH compatible model, I’ll definitely improve the water cooling components themselves.

    • @TommyHoughton
      @TommyHoughton  8 месяцев назад

      That's fair, but It wasn't my first choice. I watched and ready many tutorials for the base 360 and 360s models, so I assumed that my one would be similar and just went for it. I knew I wouldn't be using the case anyway, so the damage was acceptable. For an internally watercooled build, I'll be taking my time and getting some Ifixit stuff or such.
