      Frankly speaking, apart from the loss of lives i kinda like lock down .All around the world we should practice 1mnth long lock down for earth and nature.

      I really like your channel! I though have a question to you about that in your 'get healthy' videos the font picture (don't remember the name but the pic you see when you choose the video) or inserted in your videos there are shoots of you in your underwear. Of course not beeing overweight is healthy but doesn't this feeds into that beeing skinny equals healthy and body obsession? I really like that you talk about mental health too in your videos but I don't know why we have to see your belly? I mean it is super ok to be proud of your body and express yourself through it, Sorrel Amore, yes! But the way you are using the pictures is, in my eyes, just triggers thoughts about loosing weight and getting that flat stomach (and not nessesary a strong core, if you understand my distinction?). Maybe this is just me but I wanted to be honest and tell you my thoughts. I hope this doesn't brings you down, or getts uncomfortable in any way. Take care!

      Give Vivo a second chance!!! I originally tried them when they did samples, along with about four other sources of vegan protein. I hated the first two I tried (Salted Maca and something else); then, the very last one I tried of all the sample was Madagascan Vanilla. I didn’t adore it, but it was the most palatable I’d tried and I happily bought the next couple of bags. Then, they released Banana Cinnamon and I can say I genuinely enjoy this, even just with plant milk (although more a smoothie person). I think it’s just that the flavours vary wildly, but the right one is worth finding.

    Libby is a free app available through public libraries (or some universities), and it lets you check out audiobooks and e-books. and you can do it through your kindle app or within the libby app itself!

      yes! i've been using the older app overdrive for years now - and it's coming in so super handy right now! actually they started limiting the number of holds and borrows to 3 but i had already had the previous max of 10 on my list LOL thank goodness.

    Before this whole pandemic thing I dreamed of having so much leisure time at home to focus on my health, but now that we are continuing on in this unsettling time, I seem to be slacking a bit more each day (UGH!). Is this happening to anybody else? Thanks for this video Immy, for me, it reinforces the fact that with these times continuing on... now is the time to rediscover my self-discipline and use it to restructure my day... and get back on that health train.

      Definitely. It's so hard to focus for me at the moment, staying home the 4th week now. The excitement (positive and negative) has worn off and now I'm starting to feel a decline. I also want to rediscover my self discipline same as you! We can do it! :D

      @@theresalwayssomethingtobui944 Yes, astrid j. f., you nailed it when you said that the novelty has most definitely worn off. One thing that works for me is “exercising” optimism and positive thoughts in the same way that I would exercise my muscles and my body. Making things happen instead of just waiting for them to happen, and also lots of positive self-talk seem to be working. I hope you find your self-discipline, and also find little bits of excitement throughout your days. Yes... we ARE doing it my friend! Thanks for sharing your thoughts today.

      I'm finding the exact same thing. I am normally very active (I train Crossfit 3-4 times a week, unicycle 3 times and rockclimb 2 times) and this lockdown situation has meant that i have to train alone and motivate myself to do some workouts. I dont like it that much, I really like the feeling of going to the crossfit box and having a coach yell at you or going to the crag with friends to climb. Unicycling i manage pretty well since it's a very lonely activity anyways.
      What i found to be working for me is to set a work time (10-4 usually) and at 4 i stop completely and go so something. I have to plan in the morning what i'll be doing as a workout or else i'll just lounge and watch youtube until it's dinner time. I actually set an alarm and once it goes off I go out, have my run, do my wod, ride my bike, etc.
      Hope it helps even a tiny bit ! Stay safe and healthy, we'll get through this !

      @@sarahgunther2591 Hey there Sarah, we have adopted a similar plan. I, too, have set a new work schedule... I start early, work (at home) straight through with no breaks and this means a can quit early. Then I have time for fitness in the late afternoon before I start cooking our super healthy dinner. Routine is key, and setting alarms on my phone is very helpful. Unicycling sounds like fun! Are you able to get outside and do some unicycling during this time? I, too, have a loaner hobby... I yoyo and am currently working on a new 3 minute freestyle routine, as well as mastering some new tricks/combos. Yoyoing to music is super relaxing and it has a creative flow to it that I have never experienced in any other activities. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I really enjoyed reading your comment. Keep active and stay sane my friend. Sending good energy to you from 🇨🇦.

    Have lost 9 pounds I have been exercising every day. Eating more healthy and really thinking about what I’m eating, making things stretch so portions smaller. Lots of cooking, lots of craft

    I actually strategically decided to watch this video after I did my exercise so that I can get some motivation to do exercise again tomorrow. And guess what.. you did motivate me...     Getting outside is honestly the highlight of my day. Nature is just an integral part of my personality and I have never felt more connected to it than now, having the freedom to go out restricted!

    You, Shelby, Sedona, Gittemery have been keeping me sane during this time. I'm a public school teacher in WV, trying to be zero waste without bulk stores and its hard.     I was so excited to see a video upload email in my inbox this morning! I finally watched it after finishing one of my class's final research papers on Alaska's waste management system. I'm transitioning to low impact living and stumbled across your channel recently. I must admit I've been binge-watching your videos during my writing breaks and have gained so much insight just in the past few days! I love how real and honest you are, and I must admit I love your natural hair too. I have type 1 hair (silk straight), and though it sounds wonderful to some, it's a real pain in the a**.     I made a habit tracker too! I've struggled with generalized anxiety my whole life and have a history of self isolation (not in the good, socially responsible/public health way we're doing it now). I've been healthy for years especially after starting to work out - BUT this is a stressful time and I live alone. So I already knew this situation would be a mess for me if I didn't really work on self care. So I made a google spreadsheet - with different tabs, data validation and all - to track everything from my supplements, exercise, walks, gratitude, hrs of sleep, social interaction, and # of news checks (the box turns red if I've done more than 2, LOL), and a list of books, grocery list and meal plan, etc. It sounds a bit much but I HIGHLY recommend this or the one Imogen suggested if you're feeling lost, anxious, or like you're slipping through the cracks.

    I'm trying to focus on what hasn't changed as it was starting to feel quite overwhelming but like you my motivation to do almost anything has waned! I am trying to do one thing for my mind, one thing for movement and one thing for myself each day but it doesn't always happen. Taking it day by day and not putting pressure on myself. Thanks for the vid, lovely as always.

    Your voice is soo relaxing, perfect for coffee! Thank you for all your videos! My life does not change much. I am still working. I started running with my boyfriend every two days early morning. :) I am so glad that here in UK we are allowed to one walk or exercise per day.

    Watched this while doing my home work out! I am struggling to do the 45-1hour vid my gym has been posting, so have been trying to shorter and varied work outs/ways to move my body.     Hi. Only recently discovered your channel and love it! On audio books (and someone else may have mentioned this as i realise this video is a couple of months old) does your local library offer the service. Mine does down on the south coast of England and it has been life changing! Also a great sustainable way to support local public services . You got to love that!

    Just like you, I've lost most of my motivation to workout at home as the lockdown goes on, and have been struggling with anxiety on and off, some days better, some days worse. I'm trying to be more forgiving and not put to much pressure on myself, because otherwise my mental health will go down the drain. In the first week, reading was really difficult, but now it's actually what brings me more peace, and music, a lot of music. Also, copious amounts of tea.
    As for a suggestion for pilates videos, I recommend the channel Boho Beautiful. She does videos of yoga, pilates, meditation and an occasional what I eat in a day with her bf - they're both vegan. Hope you'll find the channel helpful.

    A great way to spend some time while I’m digesting my lunch before a run. When you brushed out your hair it looked so much like Crystal Tipps from ‘Crystal Tipps and Alistair’, which was a cartoon from many years ago, so much nostalgia!     Very relatable and motivating video as getting more active and fit is a goal for me this year. This crisis has been...interesting for learning how to keep active in changing situations and working within certain limitations while trying to keep motivation up. I've been doing different types of workouts and activities to keep my interest while still trying to make sure I'm regularly targeting certain things. So, for example, I need to make sure I'm getting cardio done, but sometimes that might be a brisk walk involving a steep hill, other times that might be a high-intensity home work out, but the cardio isn't being abandoned just because I changed the way I'm getting it done if you know what I mean? You reminded me how I want to focus on flexibility too though so this morning I did a yoga session concentrating on flexibility along with my other workout. It feels good! (mostly once it's done...haha)

    i needed this push to try and get back into fitness. we've been in lockdown for 3 weeks now, and at the very least one more week to go, and i've left the house once this entire time (we have a designated shopper that isn't me and i'm working from home). i basically went from walking around 10,000 steps every day to nothing. my goal for the rest of lockdown is to try and walk 10,000 steps a day or maybe do a workout here and there if i don't feel like leaving my house.

    Great video :) My habits and routines haven't changed a lot but mentally it's hard sometimes. To me the uncertainty is the most stressful part... But keeping positive and trying to keep up with my own "normal" helps me a lot. Btw, I loved the books from celest ng, her books are thought provoking and I like the her writing style. "Little fires everywhere" was my favorite one

    I’m getting stress acne, I haven’t had this many zits in 4 years when I was 17.
    I also made a habit checklist! I use the app Productive 🙂. And Libby is a wonderful app!

    We borrowed some weights from a friend that was not using and are doing home workouts with them. I am also doing yoga online a few times a week! Other than that, using the extra time to start my RUclips channel and work on personal projects :)

    I started a little life as well last year. the book is great but I couldn't finish it. but when I tell people I still love it and want to finish it when I'm in a better headspace, they don't understand

    I’m doing quite a few similar things. I enjoy Rebecca-Louise fitness RUclips videos for cardio workouts, (HIIT and kickboxing) and barre and Cole Chance on RUclips for yoga.
    I’ve been listening to audiobooks and learning lots about climate change and veganism, I’ve started eating more plant based (my fiancé is even planning to make me vegan chocolate moose for my birthday, as we will still be indoors then!). Also spending quality time with my fiancé and baby is nice!! Xx

    Some Pilates workouts I’ve enjoyed are Pilates Workout for Dummies with Tracy Thompson and Pilates Perfect Body 10 minute solution with Suzanne Bowen - and totally agree people underestimate how effective it is!

    It's not strictly Pilates, but Caroline Jordan does great floor workouts that are a blend of Pilates, Barre, etc.

    I would like to see a vlog where you could show us the “behind the scenes” of a low waste life, the whole process in your day. For example, to make your coffee: do you get the beans and you grind them or buy the packets? Do you compost the coffee then? Or How do you get low waste tofu and protein powders?     Loved this video, Immy - so cool to get an insight into your routine and you're always so funny, lovely and open with your audience! Is there a protein powder that you can recommend that you like? I've started running more lately and, like you, feel too lazy and also don't want to eat a whole other meal just for the extra protein. I also NEED to get myself a foam roller. 😩🙏 I think I remember seeing that you used to do a lot of running (maybe a half or full marathon...?) - are there any at-home workouts you could recommend to people who run a lot to follow by any chance? I'm slowly recovering from some knee pain but also want to keep up cardio and strength where I can. Thank you so much, stay safe, and can't wait to see your next video! 🌺💖

    I use a free app for workouts called FitOn and it’s as if someone took all the best short workout videos from RUclips and put them in an app - it is the best thing. Plus I rarely feel like I need motivation to do it because you press play and just do as you’re told 😂 By the way, I genuinely love your jumper Immy 🤗

    I like Boho Beautiful's pilates workouts, plus most of the videos are set in a remote exotic place which helps me project myself out of the flat, like a nano holiday ^^

    In the first week I went a little crazy because I was used to going in the park and in my country I can't anymore. I was watching news and all and was stressed all the time. Then I just did not read news and started my reading phase, I was reading all day long, no joking. And now I also do sport, things for uni, paint, draw and read less. Oh, and I try to not eat to much. 🌱

    I would love to see a video about making and keeping friends. I have a very hard time meeting new people. Especially those with similar interests... Also, all of my previous friends have decided to leave my life. I would love friends to talk to and I know my mental health was 100x better with friends. It's a real struggle 💔

    I just started using a protein powder by gorilla juice, I got it from Amazon in the flavour caramel latte crush, it's really good! Also they offer free delivery for you to return the bag and they will recycle it into other things :)

    I'm with you on not liking home workouts... "Normally" I would have two 2 hour team practices and usually 1-3 gym workouts a week and I went into the pandemic thinking I could maybe keep up like 75% of my workout schedule (not necessarily in intensity but that I would put in my normal amount of time). And faced with the reality of home workouts I just .... I lack the motivation to do the slightest bit of exercise, not because I don't get an itch to stay active but because I am super uncomfortable working out at home. I feel bad about making too much noise that would disturb the neighbours and feel like because I can't do what I usually do at the gym, it's not really worth doing anything. I know it's not really logical thinking, but that's been my line of thought lately...

    sundried tomatoes taste of nothing, except the actually dry ones which taste of salt, but mustard, yum! One day maybe you'll be able to try Welsh Lady mustard with leeks - it's wholegrain and one third leeks but i love all mustards and that is my favourite ever

    I usually hate working out (except when I get this weird health motivation kick like once every year and give up after 2 weeks lol) but I have to admit all of this time indoors really makes me want to try to stick to a routine, I hope it'll last after all of this is over.. that would be a true test of my commitment haha

    Oh that sandwich... could you make me one please? And the lovely decaf coffee to go with it? I’ve generally been more forgiving since lockdown, especially as I’m still working (from home). I do what I can, when I can (though being disabled I do that anyway). I’ve just sent my new book to my publisher, which is exciting. I need that sandwich now..
