I love it. Its the re-birth of Breitling. My choice in this collection Navitimer (Aviator) 8: 3 hands, no day, blue dial with brown leather strap. Timeless classic pilot watch, minimalistic, less is more. Cheerzz

Breitling is largely responsible for drawing me into my love for watches. However as the years went by, I found myself more and more disconnected with the brand. My fault, not theirs. The new Navi 8 43 B01 has re-lit my flame for Breitling. I've never in all my life been so in love with a watch. I'm currently saving for one.

The Navitimer 8 in black is the first Breitling that has appealed to me - I've always found them a little too flashy or chunky. I really like the new direction Breitling is going, but they are pricing themselves not competitively against IWC, which is generally seen as a slightly better brand. My only concern is that Breitling has also caught the re-issue bug, possibly caught it from Omega. Re-issues water down the brand and is near-sighted. If these watches are being sold around the $4,000 USD, then they would be competitive.
Sir, could you do a video on the prices of watches in today's market? Have the prices come down or are they going up? Could you cover this topic in sections (watches below $5,000, watches between $5,000-$10,000, and watches over $10,000)? It seemed the trend was watch prices were coming back down after 2016... but this year they seem to be going back up.

    • @lulolee5325

For these type of men Breitling heritage and philosophy is definitely a relevant topic ... I know another man from top echelon government mafia who in fact used to wear Breitling, don't remember which model, and he was a pilot in the past... The most effective marketing and advertising is by exploiting real life self made men as ambassadors of the brand... and I almost vomite from those miserable advertising campaigns with fake movie "heroes" like James Bond etc..:):) So, I have just given you a rough idea and please pass it to Breitling team. Should Breitling team needs my expertise in some areas of marketing I will be glad to help the brand, because I believe Breitling is really worth even more than it's at the moment. Now it's a perfect time to move forward! In general, I sense a little analogue wristwatch renaissance again!... while Rolex has already got stuck! Rolex bubble already has some cracks and "Rolex concept" is already facing the wall, if you know what I mean...

For me those are some of the dullest and flawed designs Breitling has ever made. The Navitimer is a tool watch, what's the point of a rotating bezel with a tiny triangle you can barely see when you have a chronograph? Having an entire rotating bezel for putting just one small marking on it is just dumb in my opinion. I don't see a reason anybody would prefer this over a Navitimer 01 or an A23322.

Seems like the GMT function has been poorly executed. Does it mean that I have to search for the country on the dial every time I want to know the time there? It’s better to have the desired country positioned at 12 o’clock then read the time off the hour hand.

This is the "noise" of the protection of the mainspring in the barrel house. It depends on your preference but I would never buy a Breitling at retail, for the price of one of these you can get an A23322 and a Speedmaster, and none of those are gonna lose any value and are much better looking and iconic watches.
