- Man this thing is cool. At just over $2,100 I'm really pleased, but retail would be a hard pill to swallow.

Thanks for the hands on review. Just saw this at Jomashop and went looking for a video. Not many out there, so thanks for taking the time. You got a good deal I must say! Also, I appreciated your balanced comments. You also preempted some predictable and unuseful comments, so I’m glad I didn’t have to wade through them. I’m glad this watch isn’t overly big. I like the stealth like aesthetics. Enjoy your lovely watch. Thanks again.
So crisp! Beautiful dial, and I agree with you about the handset…absolutely perfect lengths. Indices look sharp, too.
Outside of the strap length, I have zero complaints. Breitling really does a great job providing a luxury feel.... well.... most of the time lol.
Yes but I wish the minutes hand was as thick as the hour hand:(
Thanks for the vid. I just bought one with your review. NOT a retail prices. haha
For a good price, its really a killer watch.
where are these sold not at retail?

Chinese superclones.
Great review. I hope to pick one up this year, a lot based on this review. Luckily the prices have come down a little. (Grey)
Prices are down on the chrono version too. It's getting tempting!
Very helpful review, thanks Hammond Watch! I agree with all the great qualities of the watch cited by the poster.
And after having the watch for a few days, there were a few things I noticed.
With the crystal is nearly flat, and from some angles, disappears. While I get function over form, but I like it when the crystal is obviously domed with visible curves and adds to the watch. My citizen watches have a flat crystal. 😅
The highly polished shine on the hands seem a little out of place on a watch that otherwise looks tough, muted.
The hour numbers were a bit smaller than I expected and smaller than my similarly case-sized Longines Big Eye.
The watch is slim, very wearable, and wears smaller than I expected.
The lume paint is antiqued (darkened, yellowed) muting the dial a bit. So, the watch is very monochrome. I might have liked that bright green lume paint against the black.
I’m guessing swapping the band for a color or a pattern might be interesting.
I've had DLC coatings, and they seem to show wear after a relatively short period of time. I'm reluctant to get any more.
I have the chance to pick up one, very lightly used, for 1300.
@@dr.emilschaffhausen4683 Yeah if showing wear is going to bother you I would probably advise against buying it. Personally I think worn down dlc coating looks really cool but that middle are can be bothersome.
@@hammondwatch2808 I appreciate the feedback! Thanks for the review.
I’ve owned this watch for 2 years and it gets about 25% wrist time. No signs of wear yet 🤞😅
@@lchamp7946 Nice! (Knocks on wood lol)
just picked mine up. new with 44% of retail.
where did you purchase?

Can't find this colour combination on their website. Has it been discontinued?
I do believe it has been discontinued. Pretty short run.
@@hammondwatch2808 wow that's a really short period. very limited pieces?
@@dd-dd2co Should serve it well over time.
They do have M173152A1L1X1 though (Black Steel Curtiss Warhawk). There's plenty of M17314101B1X1 at Chrono 24.
Your wrists are just thick bro 😂
I am not sure if you have mentioned it. Is the bezel of this watch rotatable? It looks like a rotating bezel but I have not seen you turn the bezel.
Yep. Its bi-directional with no "clicks".
Where did you buy?

@@hammondwatch2808 what was the price back then?
@@buckrogers5429 I think it was right around $2k
@@buckrogers5429 I just picked one up for $1650 on the ‘bay. Next best price seems to be around $2100.
Nice watch, but £3250 for that? I don't think so.
I wouldn't pay that either
