I bought a Navitimer 01 from Burdeens a couple years ago. Great store! Will be in the market for another timepiece soon and will stop back in

Navitimer 8 appeals to me. IWC not. I own already a Breitling Chronomat and really love this Navitimer 8, with blue dial, its just gorgerous.

They are stunning! They have been renamed the Aviator 8 collection now.

Feeling disappointed - - I LOVE Breitling I have a dozen or so - maybe I need to see one of these in person, but they look very boring or just to understated - But Ill give them a look in person anyway.

Give them a look before you judge. Dan is a massive Breitling fan and multi-time owner that relentlessly trash-talked the Navitimer 8 both online and off for its "IWC-ness" before seeing and touching them and now he says he is going to buy one. If you can take that for what it's worth, but if you're on any of the Breiling Owners Groups on Facebook, you can check up for yourself.

The new Breitlings look like watches in the Hamilton range

There is a resemblance to the Hamilton Khaki range. I suppose the best analog for that argument is the "every diver looks like a Rolex Submariner" argument. Most have a rotating bezel, screw down crown, chunky case, but each brand is able to find its niche for their diver with small cues. I would implore you to wait until they land at Authorized Dealers (hopefully Burdeen's Jewelry (*WINK*) and take a look IRL before making final judgement on the Navitimer 8. It looks like Georges Kern is trying to take Breitling in a more conservative styling direction by taking the Navitimer back to its pilot watch roots. By doing that, he's going to run into more conventional styling cues.

I saw the blue dial blue strap in person, and I loved it. It has a GORGEOUS dial that is just so classy. It will be my next one and I own several. It feels on the wrist quietly elegant.

You right die hard Breitling collector vintage and modern. This watch did nothing for me. I want to get my hands on the super 8 before I make my final decision, but at the moment it’s a no.........maybe

I would get your hands on it before you make your final decision. It presents better and more "Breitling-y" on the wrist than it does in pictures. If you need to see them, we have a full selection in our store in the Chicagoland area.

Perhaps your right but my local boutique is suggesting some better watches on the way going right back to the 70’80s. We will see.

@@Simscraggy998 I tried one on and I was hesistant at first in the watch case, but I was like sure, let me see it. Once I put it on, and saw the detail and classy dial, I loved it. The perfect elegant understated watch.

    Breitling goes Casio.

We're not sure that's applicable for the Navitimer 8 Collection. A more apt comparison would be IWC or even Ball but not Casio. Now, the now-discontinued quartz Colt Skyracer, that argument could be made.
