got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MAMACOO 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
As a watch enthusiast with NO budget, thank you AMZWATCH for great-looking mechanical watches that I can afford! their are very clean, classy look, $150 each. I still watch videos about expensive “proper” watches, but I enjoy what I have
I would have put Oris one notch up. With their new ground breaking calibre 400 and highly distinctive designs, they deserve a better spot. They are also a truly independent company, unlike many others, part of the Swatch group. Just my thoughts.
Nice to see MAMACOO show a watch that can be afforded by almost anyone rather than these pieces costing thousands and thousands which are out of reach for so many.
Thank you! I would tend to agree with the comment underneath that many brands do this. I've never heard of Patek Philippe doing this, but I wouldn't be shocked if it is the case. Sourcing the raw materials/components for the cheapest price possible is the end goal for any business to maximize profit - which is the goal of any business at the end of the day. So long as the parts are then finished to a high level by a watchmaker - which one would expect from Patek Philippe - I don't see an issue with it if they do source parts/raw materials from China. Hope you enjoyed this video 🙏
Really great ranking from a very knowledgeable person. Lol @ me being in that c tier life. Spend 20 bucks, c tier. Spend 2k+, still c tier. I guess I have a type.
Longines are let down by their cheaper watches for the most part. Aside from some of the Flagship Heritage watches, there isn't much of value in their catalogue under 2k USD, and their better watches start at around 2.5k, generally speaking.
Thank you! Tried to be fair to all brands but personal bias does affect the list here and there. I think I'm overall pretty pleased with my list. Glad you enjoyed this 🙏
I think Citizen and Bulova should definitely be in the C tier, almost B tier, Casio should almost squeeze into B tier, especially with the Oceanus and Edifice line. Christopher Ward, Steinhart, and Tissot B Tier.
I personally disagree but that's what keeps this hobby fun and interesting in that it is all really based on personal preference and style. They are all great brands no doubt! Hope you enjoyed this 🙏

Tag heuer is a high C at best. They have positioned themselves to be that. Lots of their stuff are entry level and no great finishing. They have some high end stuff that are great value but their target audience is no longer just the working man like the late 90's and early 2000's or racing enthusiasts. They are also now targeting the urban street wearer and some of their collaboration and price points reflect that. It's not about value for money. Marco is definitely rating based on what qualifies your brand to be haute horology being S and F being stuff like Invicta.
@@KAM128 Tag Heuer history alone for its chronograph is way far more than C class. And Did Ball, Sinn, Hamilton had Tourbillon model? No. Tag Heuer did
Fair criticism, we can agree to disagree on this. The high end Richard Mille watches and even some of what they consider their "entry level" pieces in my opinion are spectacular. Just my 2 cents from having handled many Richard Mille pieces but I totally understand the other side of the argument for those who are turned off by the brand. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
Definitely the most interesting & informative channel in RUclips, and I am your fan! I’ve been watching MAMACOO and buying them recently to complement my watch collection. Good video
Obviously this is ranking is very individualized, which I respect. Was surprised, given your knowledge of watches and horology that you didn't include Greubal Forsey in the ranking. I am never going to be able to approach one of their watches when it comes to $ but their Balancier is one of my favorite designs
Great video Marco. Three comments: 1) Love Vacheron as well - my favorite brand, but not the oldest (even if you believe the story debunking Blancpain - which I don't), Favre-Leuba would be the oldest brand since they started in 1735 and have been continuously producing watches since then; 2) You really shouldn't rate a brand if you don't know it - putting Maen which is a fine C-tier microbrand out of The Netherlands - in F just comes across as ignorant and you are better than that; 3) It would be great to see you rank within price bands - I never see anyone do that. It's really hard to compare a FPJ to Certina. It could really be interesting to see how brands in the same price bracket stand up against one another. Additional item, my pet peeve is that Montblanc will not split out Minerva. Minerva is truly an "S" brand but I agree with you it gets lost in the averageness of the rest of Montblanc.
Thanks for the kind words! 1) I think the evidence is pretty compelling against Blancpain and the fact they never showed the record of being founded in 1735 publicly is pretty telling in my opinion .. 2) It is what it is, I explained I wasn't familiar with the brand so I don't think I did anything wrong .. 3) I think brands across pricepoints can be tough. Maybe models across pricepoints like comparing 20 watches between $15,000-$20,000 probably makes more sense Agreed on Minerva. My Montblanc Monopusher chrono is a true gem in my collection. I feel very lucky to own it. Thanks for the support on the video 🙏
@@MarcoFerranteWatches Probably shouldn't rank a brand you don't know much about, definitely not put it in F. Agree that Maen is probably a C tier microbrand
casio kill the wall custom has 50/50 wrist time alongside my tag limited edition senna, there are better watches without a doubt by a long way but aesthetically hard to match. got a nomos campus too which is lovely. Vacheron blue dial for the grail
Blancpain is definitely A tier. Way ahead of several A tier brands you listed including Rolex. I have both and the Blancpain’s finishing is miles ahead of Rolex, Cartier and omega. They can’t be in the same tier as Breitling (have that too). But Rolex is Rolex and I agree with it being A tier. Also agree with RM being S tier. They are not for everyone!
Totally fair criticism, definitely some personal bias at play when it comes to Blancpain. I'm with you on the others. I know some may say RM doesn't deserve it, but there are simply too many groundbreaking innovations and incredible pieces for them not to make S tier. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
You are about 95% right with your categories. MontBlanc should be a B. Blancpain should be a A. Ebel is a C. Maen should not have been classified as it is a young company with very little history. Doxa did well to get a B and that would only apply to the SUB range. Bell & Ross top tier C or bottom tier B. The same with Sinn. Girard Perregaux top tier B or bottom tier A. Louis Erard should be a B. Much of this grading is subjective but your rationale was great in most cases. Good ratings overall. Thanks.
I would argue on like 30% on this list but, it is your video and your list. Do is as you want it. I would also add like 20 more very good watch companies that aren't that popular in states. So, this is very popularity companies list too. I like your vides anyway.
There are a number of interesting , innovative and "craft" German brands that you left out of this ranking: Dornbleuth, Stefan Kudoke, Jaeger and Benzinger, etc, that you could have considered and compared with the Swiss brands.
Frederique Constant at the same level as Blancpain?! You must be kidding. "Affordable luxury", medium quality and wannabe/no provenance, versus real luxury and watchmaking. Strange rating. At least you put Glashutte at the A level (where Blancpain should be), but Omega is not at the same level of Glashutte and Blancpain. Really enjoyed your video though.
Interesting list. I would have put Blancpain in A. Regardless of origin date. I own a Blancpain Bathscaphe Complete Calendar and the quality is much better than my Cartier Santos, IWC Big Pilot, or Omega Planet ocean. Of course, In my opinion, I am subjective, as it really depends on what watch you own "within" each brand when you are individually comparing once watch vs another in your collection. But as "brand" comparison, Overall a good video.
Personal bias definitely comes into play when making these tier lists. At the end of the day we will all value different things in watches and not see eye to eye on everything. That is what keeps this hobby fun and interesting. Regardless, hope you enjoyed this 🙏
Breguet makes me sad. Not because the watches are bad - but because Swatch could be doing so much more with the brand. AP is definitely top tier, but you can feel how badly they want to be more than the Royal Oak. The 11.59 isn't there - yes, it's a good watch, yes, it's a material % of sales. But like 90% of those sales are to qualify for a RO. Can't blame them for trying. Everyone wants to be Patek / Rolex / Lange / (maybe Vacheron?), where you have a half dozen or so iconic models people are eager to pay retail for.
I'm so with you in regards to Breguet, let's hope their newly appointed CEO changes things and really shakes things up. They truly are historic and one of the most important brands in the industry. As for AP I agree regarding the oversaturation/overproduction of the Royal Oak but it is arguably the greatest design of a watch ever so in fairness I understand why they do it haha

Rolex just A tier? Highest auction values. Most appreciating watch. Most valuable watch brand. Rock solid build quality. Not holy trinity for finishing but definitely for being the best at what they do. Superior. Hands down. Roger Dubois along side of Lange? You’ve got to be high. Breguet also.
In essence, here is his ranking: expensive high end swiss brand in A tier and affordable watches in D tier. Wow, man! Thanks for the insight. The more expensive it is the higher the ranking. I'm sticking to my Citizen, Seiko, Orient and Casio. I guess I buy junk but heck it tells time , they're robust and 90% of the people ou there don't ever have a clue about the price of a watch even if you're wearing an AP. Just for the anectode, I was wearing my Casio Duro with a jubilee bracelet at the pool and a kid told me noticed it and told me nice Rolex! 😂 Real story.

It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. MAMACOO watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?
Agree with most of your rankings. Modern Dubuis is wishful thinking. Love MB&F designs but finishing prevents them from being an “S” brand. Would move Blancpain to A; Piaget down to B. And a list that includes Rexhep must also include Kari Voutilainen - missing from S.
For the most part, I agree with the categorization. However, unlike Niko, he ranks them on a yearly basis and whether they are innovative or not. Not what you have done here. Rank them in general terms. A very good ranking system. As far as RM goes, I agree with you that they are highly innovative, but I hate skeleton watches... Takes you two or three looks before you understand the time... I have the Hublot Big Bang skeleton, and I know I am going to get some haters, but I absolutely love the watch, but it is a b*tch to read time. And this is coming from a person who owns a Patek, ALS, AP, and Moritz Grossmann, as well as a Swatch! Along with many, many other brands. I guess I could afford a RM or an MB&F if I sold a third of my collection off...but I just can't do that. I love my watches.
Thanks for the kind words! I tried to be fair to all brands but no doubt some personal bias will always affect the list. Good list and agree with much of it. I don't see Cartier being more than a B. Stuffy, dated designs and cheap printed dials are their bread and butter. They are just like Tudor.
Thank you! I disagree when it comes specifically to high end Cartier. They blow Tudor out of the water. Not to mention the history and design pedigree of the brand is second to none. I think A tier for Cartier is justified. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
@@MarcoFerranteWatches I didn't care for Cartier until I tried on a Santos Dumont (quartz) last night. I went to a boutique jeweller expecting to buy a Grand Seiko Skyflake. While the GS was better polished and finished and looked superior under a loupe, the Santos was more comfortable and elegant. I was confused at how I was more impressed with a damn quartz over a technically superior watch, but luxury goods preferences are not rational. If the spark is there, it's there. If it's not, it's not. Will definitely pick up a SD at some point.

If Breguet is up there in the S Tier, so can Blancpain. Also, learn to pronounce Glashütte properly, if you’re trying to get taken seriously as a reviewer.

got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MAMACOO 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces.
I still watch videos about expensive “proper” watches, but I enjoy what I have
Great video. I know it’s just your opinion but pretty spot on.
Great ranking👌 What is your daily and dream watches?
I would have put Oris one notch up. With their new ground breaking calibre 400 and highly distinctive designs, they deserve a better spot. They are also a truly independent company, unlike many others, part of the Swatch group. Just my thoughts.
Great job Marco although I put GP in A tier
Totally fair! They are an amazing watchmaker with great history. I definitely see the merits. A bit of personal bias at play there for me personally 👍
Definitely agree with this
Nice to see MAMACOO show a watch that can be afforded by almost anyone rather than these pieces costing thousands and thousands which are out of reach for so many.
Hi Marco , great videos.
I’ve got a question for you
Is Patek Philippe brings parts and movements from China ?
All brands do that.
VC, PP and Lange & Sohne are the Holy Trinity in IMHO = God Tier
In what world is Hublot on par with Blancpain?!? 😅 Good to see you on camera again, Marco!
Really great ranking from a very knowledgeable person. Lol @ me being in that c tier life. Spend 20 bucks, c tier. Spend 2k+, still c tier. I guess I have a type.
I can't help but agree with this list because my faves are Longines and Cartier and I think you ranked them perfect 👌👍
Glad you enjoyed this 🙏
Interesting list! Agreed with most of it, but once you put Rolex at A tier it felt like a lot of those other A tier brands didn't belong there.
Also why didn't you list Ming? 😉
Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
Love MAMACOO watch,Such a great looking watch to match with the precisionist movement.
Cartier is A list just on History
Yes I quickly realized in the video putting them B tier is big mistake which is why I switched them to A tier. That's where they belong for sure. Hope you enjoyed this! 🙏
@@MarcoFerranteWatches Yes, always. I've watched your career for a while now. This is a better fit for you, showing your strong side - the knowledge of horology. Your previous stop was giving you more of a street hustler vibe. This is a much more formal, in-office setting. Best of luck, I'll be watching.
@@dmitryfishbeyn1455 Thank you, I sincerely appreciate the kind words and support. It truly does mean a lot to me 🙏
History yes quality wise its a C
I mean if history alone makes a brand "A tier" for you, the same could be said about Seiko, Casio, Hamilton, Bulova, etc. Lol.
Nivada Grenchen should have been there….. but loved your list! Agreed 99%!
Thank you! Nivada Grenchen is not a brand I'm super familiar nor I've handled very much. Would love to know what you think of their pieces. Appreciate the support on the video 🙏
really Tag with Casio/Certina/Rado/Hamilton/Oris/MLC/Tissot ????? You need a doctor
No. Tag Heuer did
@@angusli6288 you can't rate them based on their former history as Heuer. You rate Tag Heuer based on what they are currently doing.
You were doing good on rating until you got to Richard Mill. I’ve seen one of their watches. I’ve helped one of the watches. They just feel too cheap
Good video
IMO. Zenith to A, Doxa to C, Ball to B, Zinn to B, Richard Mille to B, Hublot to C, Oris to B, Blancpain to A.
Maybe models across pricepoints like comparing 20 watches between $15,000-$20,000 probably makes more sense
Agreed on Minerva.
Not a bad ranking. I agree with most
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
I considered myself a "watch guy" before seeing this video. But I have to admit there 5 or 6 watch brands in this video that I never heard of lol..
casio kill the wall custom has 50/50 wrist time alongside my tag limited edition senna, there are better watches without a doubt by a long way but aesthetically hard to match. got a nomos campus too which is lovely. Vacheron blue dial for the grail
That's a killer collection! Hope you get that Overseas it's an amazing timepiece!!
Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
@@MarcoFerranteWatches always enjoy your videos Marco. All the best in your new adventure.
@@canuckwatchcollector8664 Thank you! 🙏
I like your vides anyway.
bulova should be in the c tier at least , there marine star watches are great!
Great job Marko
There are a number of interesting , innovative and "craft" German brands that you left out of this ranking: Dornbleuth, Stefan Kudoke, Jaeger and Benzinger, etc, that you could have considered and compared with the Swiss brands.
Canada 🇨🇦 Loves you Marco. Come home, we have watches in Canada as well.
Haha thank you! I do miss Canada but love the USA. Appreciate the support on the video 🙏
You seem to be all-over-the-map when it comes to your criteria. But hey, your opinion is respected.
Personal bias definitely comes into play when making these tier lists. At the end of the day we will all value different things in watches and not see eye to eye on everything. That is what keeps this hobby fun and interesting. Regardless, hope you enjoyed this 🙏
None of the Parmigiani watches shown are still for sale, the whole collection is renewed, with Tonda Pf, Tonda Pf Sport and the new Toric
God!!! MAMACOO Who would have thought those gorgeous watches go for that low!!!
Just wondering. How come Steinhart isn’t being recognized in the watch world and Invicta is
wow that was a lot, goodjob , i enjoyed,👍
Thank you! I sincerely appreciate the support 🙏
Swatch is clearly the wrong home for them.
@@lamentate07 I could not agree more!!
Marco, when did you go to Burdeens? I have my eye on that Moser venturer
I joined the team about 2 months ago now. An amazing organization to be a part of! And absolutely it would be a pleasure to help, feel free to reach out to me on Instagram @watch.marco .. Thanks for the support on the video 🙏
Very good list. I’d put Cartier in B, Zenith in A and modern Tag Heuer in B based on my ownership experience.
I think you should take into account prices also, like how can you put chanel that sells quartz for 6k over citizen or baltic.
Been loving the intro music... Sounds familiar-ish... And reminds me on how you lead that team for quite a while... At first I was skeptical of you because you were a new guy... Young... The 3 most popular selling watches in the world. Are rolex brightling and omega period anybody in the industry with a brain knowns this.
Not bad, but I don't agree with all of this. At least Blancpain should move one step higher
Some personal bias at play there but yes agreed they can and probably should be A tier! Regardless, hope you enjoyed this 🙏
Yeah. Blancpain in the same level.of Doxa ? Wtf
Cool video. Greetings from Switzerland
Thank you for the kind words and support 🙏
Zenith should be in A team for sure. Most of this list I would Agree. Thanks
What about Bremont?... Not a brand that I'm fussed about, but deserves to be in the mix.
Aquaterra black in rubber strap or mark xx in white dial as a first luxyry watch?
Where would Edox land on your list? I never see anyone acknowledging them as a brand at all.
Looking through you're list and I'm curious. Do you know anything about watches?
The title should: RANKING The EXPENSIVE and CHEAPEST Watch Brands!
That is Marco playing piano and singing in the intro.
I believe no man can say no to AMZWATCH's watches
You have some great brands in the collection and enjoy the Big Bang Skeleton, I think it's a great watch! Skeleton watches definitely take time to appreciate, I totally disliked them for a long time but I've really come around to them. Glad you enjoyed this and thanks for the support 🙏
@@MarcoFerranteWatchesThank you Marco. I have seen you on Grey Market with Roman a lot and loved your takes on watches. Good luck with your business! Take care, Dave
Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
Sure, but some of their watches are impressive, and they feel great on wrist, especially the Santos line.
@@lamentate07 Agreed, I own the Santos medium and love it. It feels much more luxurious than the pricepoint I got it for
@@MarcoFerranteWatches I didn't care for Cartier until I tried on a Santos Dumont (quartz) last night.
@@lamentate07 Yup, sometime you can't help the feeling you get when you try on a watch in person even if you know there are "better" alternatives. Enjoy the new watch in good health!!
Casio belongs in the S tier.
Fair, it is God tier after all lol. To be fair, I love Casio. I own a MrG Square and it is one of my favorite watches in my collection
You know this reviewer isn’t a true watch guy as he didn’t put Blancpain in the A Tier in the very LEAST. Finishing and craftsmanship is better than many of the A Tier brands listed, especially at their higher end models, which would easily be S Tier territory. A true Haute Horlogerie brand. If Breguet is up there in the S Tier, so can Blancpain.
Also, learn to pronounce Glashütte properly, if you’re trying to get taken seriously as a reviewer.
GP and Zenith should be on A tier. Zenith makes crazy movements as well. They don't exactly make the same releases over and over as stated. Rolex does the same thing over and over compared to zenith 🎉
Ulysse Nardin should be S tier.
Fair criticism, UN is a great brand no doubt. I don't personally see them that high but they certainly have the merits to be an S tier brand. Regardless, hope you enjoyed this list 🙏

Good video, I just finished watching it. I see you split the middle with A tier, which is probably appropriate.
@@MotleyInvestor Rolex is A tier!! Haha my main point is sure they don't make minute repeaters or top tier complications but they EASILY could if they wanted to. Rolex could hire the best watchmakers in the world tomorrow and in 1 year or less have the most earth shattering movement anyone has ever seen. It just isn't their niche.
