Seiko or tissot best picks imo
Facts
I have a tissot prs 200 n it's tough but beautiful
Undoubtedly the first two names that come to anyone's mind when we hear the word "inexpensive". Even a non-enthusiast.
Certina DS action diver shits on them both.
@@rashmit that's casio or timex. Tissot and Seiko both are considered expensive here in my country.
I bought a Rado true several years ago still gorgeous.
I first saw it in a cruise ship shop and it was up against rolex breitling and omegas but still managed so stand out with a particularly deep shine the ceramic body and bracelet looks like nothing else
Gotta say, this is an incredible video. For the first time one of these budget videos actually has good suggestions!
The Seiko Presage line is so underrated. I recently picked up a Presage with a Creme dial for $695 and it’s one of my favorite watches under $1k.
I have a brown one with the brown strap and it’s one of my favorite things I own
Beautiful dials but shit unregulated movements and mineral crystal. :(
@@XShotokanXthere are saphhire ones too
@@XShotokanXIsland watch sells sapphire replacements. I just bought a cheaper presage for my first watch and plan on replacing the mineral crystal with sapphire. As for the movement, I've been losing about 3 seconds a day out the box. Honestly better than I expected
This is my first watch and I love the shit out of it. I got the open heart one
Thank you for making high quality videos!Love amzwatch ’s watches
Picked up a amzwatch's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
Damn it Nico..... I stumbled across your channel the other day and subscribed. I haven't purchased a watch in a long time and my small collection was shite uneducated purchases Today I casually walked into my local jeweler and spotted the Tissot case. Tried a PRX, Gentleman and Seastar. Walked out with the Seastar and now have a Longine Master Collection Moonphase and Tudor Black Bay GMT in my online cart. I was way overdue to get a few proper time pieces and you pushed me over the edge. Now I will patiently wait for the Rolex hype prices to dwindle. Just when I thought I was out, you pulled me back in. Damn you! 😅
Great selections. I'm surprised that you didn't mention the Tissot PRX (as everyone does). Though I would've put the Tissot Gentleman in your list.
What an amazing outcome for a beautiful watch. Always a pleasure to see amzwatch work your magic. Thanks for sharing this transformation with us!
Thanks Nico, the ultimate goal of watch enthusiasm is, and will always be, looking "absolute bollocks" while also being careful about personal finances. This video is what our community needs. We support and endorse you. Keep it up, or as Will Ferrell may or may not suggest, STEP IT UP SON.
Context is interesting though. In comparision to watches costing £4K+ sure they are 'affordable'. Thing is most people would not consider a £1300 watch affordable let alone a $2000 watch. Over fourteen years ago I can remember giving a friend an absolute ton of shit about a £1200 watch (might have been slightly more can't remember) that he purchased. With inflation that's nearly a £2000 watch now🤦. Those are still hugely aspirational prices for the majority of people.
I agree with Rado's beeds of rice bracelet being very nice. I have it with my Captain Cook and it is amazing...even compared to much more expensive watches from my collection
Beads... Captain Cock.. hehe
I am not a fan of watches but owning an expensive one wouldn't hurt 😅
Owning one isn't the problem. It's actually "buying" one that is. I wonder how people earn so much these days.
Regular jobs don't pay much these days. It's usually money gotten from ROI or the market
I retired few months back and I have been looking for a licensed platform to place my investments
I love that Hamilton, but my first luxury watch was my Tudor Black Bay Bronze. The Hamilton looks like a more affordable version of my watch. Excellent choices, sir!
Great video mate, love the Christofer ward gmt, waiting on part 2 with maybe watches available for $1000
I think it’s in the last one of these, but the Seiko presage lineup has some really nice watches for the price, and have some good limited editions if you can find them.
Seiko QC issues are out of order, even on pieces that cost north of €1000
Beautiful dials but for £400 they really should have sapphire crystal.
Would love to see a vid on Nico's micro brand picks.
My wife’s wedding gift to me was a brown leather strap and white dial Baumé & Mercier Clifton and it’s my most sentimental watch. Glad to see the brand mentioned as it’s never talked about.
I've green Captain Cook in green with jubilee bracelet. Stunning watch. Indeed. Recently did a review of it as well!
When I prepared myself for your videos I put the volume way down 😆
I got myself the seiko ssk003 for my birthday/graduation present. I'm super proud to own one, I know they're not that expensive but life has been a rollercoaster financially and emotionally these past years for me, I would have never been able to imagine the stability I have now so to celebrate I finally got myself a treat, for me this watch will always remind me of that time I finally overcame the hardships! Thanks Nico for keeping my spirits high with the videos, love from an Indonesian 21 year old in Taiwan!
Congratulations
@@scalychannel5897 Thank you! there's still lots I need to achieve
Its a great bang for your buck watch. A lot of watch guys will know what it is the second they see it and you'll get kudos on it for sure.
I bought a used Omega DeVille a few years ago with a leather strap. It is absolutely my favorite watch. Very much a dress watch, but it was a great deal with box and papers. It was a late 90s model. Perfect condition.
Whered u get it from, I’m also looking for something similar thats not too beat
I’ve got a DeVille GMT silver dial. One of my favourite watches and an absolute bargain for what you get.
Glad to see you givin some love to CW. Great watches, really exceptional finish and attention to detail for the price. Not perfect though. Just as it should be.
Finally he mentions CW! My grandad gave me one when I was 21 and I’ve worn it everyday for 5 years. Never seen another one like it
I'll throw in the Longines Master Collection Moonphase. Stunner!
(I was blown away the first time I saw a Rado in person. Gorgeous.)
I prefer the ceramic range with Rado, its what I associate with the brand. I've got one as a gift with 4 diamonds inside.
I mainly wear my Omega Seamaster 300m, but wear the Rado when dressing smart, it gets a lot of attention for a watch worth a quarter of the Omega.
The Mido Belluna and Belluna II series of watches are between $1000-1800, but you can find them for as cheap as 500 on the grey market new. And there are many great Baume & Mercier classy looking watches, and you can new Hamptons at reputable discount dealers for very good prices like a M0A10027 $1,139, or the MOA10028 for 1,345. But B&M are very underrated. And there are some very high end looking Tissot watches you can find though discount AD's for really good prices.
Finally you mentioned the watch brand Rado. Really would like you to make a separate vid on this brand alone as this would bring a lot of attention to the channel and brand😅
Oris has a lot of bang for your buck imo
My personal pick would be (and actually was) a Longines Master Control Chronograph. There are a few versions of it, most have too many little dials crammed on, but the one with just 2 is the absolute business.
Also, it would be nice to see a Bremont there, they make some amazing watches and aren’t too pricy.
I currently have 4 CWs : The Twelve, C65 Aquitaine GMT, C60 Trident Bronze, and a C60 GMT. Fantastic watches that all look pricier than they are, particularly The Twelve. Also have a Cartier Ballon Bleu that comes out on special occasions!
Why waste so much on 4 CWs, you could've bought 1 better watch or a Tissot PRX and Omega 300m, which would cover many styles
Which is your favorite from the 4? I’m looking at the C60 Tide which looks an absolute stunner. Thanks
Thoughts on the C60 Bronze? im looking at getting one, but might settle for the standard C60
@@iparky86 Bronze patinas after a while if you like that look. If not, best to stay with the stainless steel
@@CuriusOdus11 Twelve for sure!
Hey! Small wrist pal here. Would love to see a video of the best watches for smaller wrists!
I seriously considered the B&M Hampton before buying my Cartier. The art deco accents are really nice.
Love the Baume and Mercier. I was looking for an alternative to the new Hamilton tank watch, since it's a #@*%ing quartz watch with a small seconds hand. This is the perfect alternative! 😊
That ChrisWard with black dial was my first automatic watch and I love it. Incredibly durable. Av
Opinions on Frederique Constant?
Love many of their watches, they have in-house tourbillon, they have actively participated to watchmaking by implementing the open heart complication, and a lot of cool watches can be found between 1.3 and 2k+, really looking forward to hearing your opinion on it
With the Omega Deville, you're buying it for the brand obviously, but if you have a smaller wrist (as I do) it looks great in the way an Invicta looks gaudy. It's my most expensive watch and it's about how it makes you feel, so it's worth every penny.
Want more videos like this Nico plz🙏
Love the hamilton iv been thinking about buying the Jazzmaster Skeleton H42535110 for a while the khakis are also a great looking watch but I love skeleton case
Got a Tissot gentleman as my first automatic watch this past Christmas and I wear it none stop. Great classy, yet sporty watch for under the $1000 mark. Housing the same powermatic 80 movement as the PRX powermatic. A great watch to pick up if you’re looking for one that you don’t see in everyones budget watch collection.
I have the quartz version of it and it’s awesome
I myself own a Tissot Ballade Powermatic 80. Super happy with it.
Tissot gentleman is not in this list because it will smash the record. To me , the gentleman is by far the best.
Picked up my Gentleman with the green dial for $530 last month, and IMO looks better than all the watches on this list.
@@packingbone1953 I'm jealous of you. Well not entirely haha I have the blue dial. But the green is incredible
Tissot PRX. It’s unbelievable the amount of compliments I get wearing that watch!
the movement is not repairable, its meant to be replaced, its looks great tho for its price ,i got one as well in my collection
I bought Swatch watch from authorised dealer. Simple and beautiful. Latest edition. Next in my collection is Rado.
Seiko, tissot and oreint are one of those brands where their watches looks luxurious and pretty well made but costs a couple of hundred euros
I love my Hamiton Khaki pilot pioneer. The bronze is stunning.
Glad to see Baume & Mercier and Rado being talked about a little, like those brand
We Need More Videos Like this I mean I love the expensive watch collection videos but not everyone can afford a 10 or 20K plus Watch 😅
I like all the pics. 👍 Nico, I am currently working in Japan and came across the Credor line of watches. What is your opinion of this watch brand?
I love my CW C63 Sealander GMT (white face), literally wear it everyday and goes well with everything I wear (whether formal, business or casual). Love to see the brand get more recognition lately, especially from Nico, they are honestly one of the best brands for value when it comes to quality of movement and finishing.
Very true wear it with everything and everyday love it.
The new logo replacing the spelled out name is very nice.
My question is where can you actually find them pre owned for 700😕?
@@kleitosaliagas5668 you can't
The CW C63 GMT is my daily watch too, love it. Cheers!
i'm surprised to not see Zodiac Sea Wolf in this selection. The Christopher ward C63 GMT you're next in my collection :D
Great List Nico! I just picked up a Christopher Ward C60 Elite 1000. It's good to see CW getting some love on your channel!
I m actually curious to hear what your take is on Christopher Ward. They make such interesting watches, like the Bel Canto and the moon watch.
It seems like they give good value for money. Maybe you make make a vid about this. Curious to hear your opinion 🤔
Great vid as usual Nico. Love all your picks.
Love the B&M Hampton.
But they’re all good.
Thanks,Paul.
Well done for giving Rado some attention. They're not well known in the west, but if you go to places like India they're absolutely huge over there, we're taking better brand recognition than Rolex.
Yes you are absolutely right
WOW he really showcased a C63? im actually blown away. I'd love to see more of this humble nico. Of all the watch channels who ignore how fantastic CW is, I never thought this would be the one to showcase them.
The Longines Master Collection, with its multiple complications and the beauty of the dial with blue markers and hands looks like it could easily be significantly more expensive than it is. The new Zenith Defy Skyline also looks like it could easily be two or three times its actual retail value.
Longines is killing it. Between the zulu time gmt. and the new 2023 conquests. I think they're going to be a much more popular brand going forward if they keep it up
My wife just got me a Rado golden horse with the green dial for my 30th bday. Thrilled to see Nico talk about it
The Seiko Presage line looks way more expensive then it is, also in my opinion a pre owned Longines DolceVita around $1000 looks even more expensive then the Cartier Tank and in my opinion is one of the best looking rectangular watches. Oh yes anything Christopher Ward looks and feels much more expensive then it is. I love my Sandhurst gen 1 and would put it up against the Tudor Ranger any day of the week 😊😊😊
Got the Omega Speedmaster Reduced two tone, with 18k rose gold bezel, crown and pushers. It costs only about 1.5k / 2k and its an absolute looker!
About time CW got a mention, my favourite brand in ANY price band, ridiculously undervalued watch maker, so much more to them than the Bel Canto
Just bought my first watch, the Seiko 5 sports with tiffany blue dial. I know Nico believes tiffany blue only belongs to the bigger brands but not everyone can afford a Patek
I’ve been looking a similar watch, would you mind telling me what sort of figure is a good price for one. Seen a few different prices :) thanks
@@scalychannel5897depends on where you live. I got it on a discount in my country in Singapore. Buy it at retail or lower.
You NEED to review the clip on an old Top Gear episode when they were talking about the launch of the Bugatti Veyron. Jeremy clarkson had on a Bugatti watch and he did his own short review of it. Absolutely hilarious. And expensive. I’d love to see your take on it.
Holy crap, never thought I’d see Christopher ward getting some love!! Not complaining as I’m a huge fan and wear a 42mm trident pro daily! Stunning watches for the little they cost.
My everyday wear is a simple sieko 5 21 jewel. I love the size and overall design but it’s accuracy is off and falls behind 2/3 mins after a few days of setting what would you recommend as a reliable replacement? But wouldn’t break me.
Seiko SPB143. One of the best looking pieces from Seiko. Except the 6R35 movement is a hit or miss with it’s accuracy.
Great picks! 👏
I might suggest a tudor blackbay or a certina as a fancy lookin dive watch for less than 2.5k i know 2.5k is boatload of money but these are watches that rival rolex i might also suggest an oris big crown in bronze
Why is he not talking about the Tissot PRX?! 😭 I got the Quartz Green Dial yesterday, and I’m going to rock it!
I'd be interested in your views on Junghans and Wempe Glashütte Zeitmeister series.
For me personally Junghans makes some interesting watches and yes even though they are quarz movements i find them highly practical because of their rc solar combination basically creating something that is super reliable and precise yet having an interesting look.
I love to see a $500 budget watch recommendation video.
I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. amzwatch brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !
The Rado is always a classy choice, Longines is great as well.
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from amzwatch I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
Seiko Presage, Tissot Prx powermatic 80, Orient Kamasu, Casioak G-Shock, gold f91w etc
Try a seiko alpinist for 700 bucks, one of the most beautiful watches under 2,000 imo
What are your thoughts on “Frederique constant?” Pls
Would love to see a video about some of these lower budget brands, like Christopher ward and Hamilton! Generally because as much as I love a rolex etc, I don't have the budget, and so want something as high quality but that people wouldn't just go "that looks like a cheap rolex..." which sadly is fairly common place for brands like tudor etc
I've never seen a broken seiko 5 unless it's been dropped hard or got wet like my jumbo 6138 which was fixed pretty easy. Those are great eternal watches (I'm talking about automatic) and my mom got me a used longines split 5 from the 80s with just a broken alarm buzzer for my birthday for only around 30 US dollars. I love it! It's so slim and comfortable. I always switch watches but I'm using my Longines more often than any other watch on my collection
Seiko 5s are broken out the box. The amount of time they gain everyday is unacceptable. By end of the week your Seiko is off by 5-10 minutes.
@@Mike-wc3jo how many have you seen? I've got two of them which i bought brand new back in 2012 and they keep time way better than that, less than a minute a day which is great for a cheap non chronograph automatic. Then i own a tv case 5 from the 70s, and advan and a DX (advan) also from that decade and now those are bad. But they're unrestored and who knows when were they last serviced? I've had them for around 10 years so it's been definitely more than that. Now this is Nico's channel and watch collectors get very hardcore, it's just my experience and opinion. I just like seiko for the price and reliability. I'm not taking my automatic Speedmaster to the car repair shop i work at and get it all scratched up
Please keep up the #5 picks Nico…. I loved this video.
I have a Rado Ceramica XL and I love that watch. I’m a taller guy so it fits me well. I actually get more compliments on it than my Daytona 😂
The Tissot Luxury looks a lot like the the omega deville but a much better deal!! $230-$400 range comes with the powermatic 80 i thinks just a home run…but the details of the case really are insane for the grey market price levels.
The plebs who watch this will never buy Rado because their friends won’t recognize it.
Blimey..kittys got claws..
Great video Nico. Christopher Ward getting a lot of love at the minute.
You should start a list of watches that are not Swiss made, maybe a list of watches from x and y countries
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the amzwatch's watches are the most intriguing.
Prx definitely should be on this list!!
Great selection NIco! Just saw some other watch discussed, a Lyrique (costing around the price of a nice Tudor) what do you think of that watch?
The Christopher Ward is a knockout!
$1,600 christopher ward c65 dune bronze vs $900 tissot prx powermatic 80? which should i get as my first watch?
Hey Nico, love your videos keep it up.
Any chance you can do a review on Reymond Weil? I wanted to get the Maestro Men’s Moon Phase Automatic Blue Leather Men’s Watch, 40mm? I am really thinking of getting it? Love the look of it.
Great to see Christopher Ward being featured
The Hamilton is STUNNING!!!
You are awesome , this video is amazing , I have only one question
Does the vintage Breitling fit to this list !
I believe it’s classy and elegant , but I am not sure about the price !
What are you on about ‘vintage breitling’? There are many lol
That Christopher Ward is stunning !!!!!
I love that you brings out the lesser known Swiss brand again!
This is really great but, if you want to get timepieces that look 10x their price at least, go with Tufina, Aragon, or Égar - especially that last one. Get a King Ocean and people will think it's a Rolex; get a Viking for that modern AP vibe; and even... get a Patriot Steel that literally looks like a Richard Miller!!! And the Aragon Superjet matte gold with matching bracelet WILL be mistaken for a Yachtmaker (or a cross between that and a Tag Heuer with the red accent on the crown). And if that is still too much money, get a Timex Marlin!!!
When it comes to fine imitation watches, amzwatch delivers. I've bought from them several times, and I've never been let down.
Nico, would be so cool if you did a video about books one can or has to read to get in the known about watches and their history etc.
I’m interested why u don’t mention like the Tudor royal, beautiful watch that only costs 2k around
Man just started my watch collection, and the first watch bought was the Hamilton H35405741. I just like the way it looks, and it was Hamilton so I jumped on it.
Me: Nice. A Nico video about bang for the buck watches.
First watch on the video: $2000 USD.
Me: Oh…..
As far as I know that particular Hamilton model is hand-wind mechanical, not automatic. There's also an automatic version in stainless steel though, but the seconds hand is not a separate dial, and it's cheaper.
My List:
1. Seiko Presage line
2. Longines Spirit pilot's watch
3. Glycine Airman & Combat Sub
4. Tudor Ranger & 1926
5. Tissot PRX
6. Citizen Tsuyoa
7. Casio Duro on a Long Island Bracelet
8. Bulova Lunar Pilot 43mm
9. Second Hand Frederique Constant
10.Second Hand Omega Dynamic Chono
