    Superb review, 9/10.
    Only thing I recommend is doing a lume shot. Other then that, great job again on covering all the points.

      I have it. The lume is ok but does not compare to the Seiko lume for example which is kind of a flashlight in the dark :D

    The movement in this watch was noted in the video to be the B45 (ETA 2834-2), but while the Navitimer 8 Day & Date model has the B45, this particular model does not, I thought it uses a B17 (ETA 2824-2) ? Much in the way that the Navitimer 8 Chronograph has the B13 (ETA 7750), unlike other Breitlings with in-house movements.

    I actually like this model. I always respected the brand but I just couldn't force myself to buy anything from them because of their busy Casio G-Shock like designs. The only thing I'd change is the bezel. It has no markings and it looks a bit like a bottle cap.

    I’m totally torn between the blue & black dial. Only thing I know for certain is that I’m putting it on a single pass NATO strap. Great review!

    Why didn't they put their logo on the back-end of the second hand? It would have looked better.

    Can the bezel be operated underwater?

    Love the dial on this, not being a fan of chronographs with lots of dials and buttons, although I can see why Breitling fans would dislike the simplicity. What is your wrist size BTW?

      Robert H. My wrist size is about 7 inches. Thanks for the comment!

      Thanks Zak. Same wrist size as me. Was worried it would be too big on my wrist but looks good on yours, so....

      This Breitling is far from what a Breitling should should look like at this price!

    Thanks for the review Zak. You ve seen allot of great pieces. Its time to hear your top 5 personal favorates , that you could realistically buy and why you would spend your money on them. I think it would say allot about those watches. Thanks again.

    How can you use it as a timing bezel? No markings?

    • @martinrea8548
      @martinrea8548 3 года назад +2

      maybe you just set the bezel marker against the minute hand and count the time elapsed from that position.

    There is something weird about this new Navitimer line

    • @gtv8033
      @gtv8033 5 лет назад

      Navitimers were named Navitimers for their heritage design elements, like the integrated the slide rule for taking in-flight measurements, making it the “ultimate tool watch for a pilot”. These new “Navitimer” models don’t seem to live up to the name Navitimer. The weird part is probably the new CEO wanting Breitling to make simpler IWC-style watches.

      This doesn't even look like a breitling.

  • @jayfalcon22

    I think the watch is great, breitling is doing a good job by offering more versatile options, my only gripe is that this model should not be in the navitimer line.

    • @WatchesOnYou
      @WatchesOnYou  5 лет назад

      I 100% agree with you. I think that it is a fantastic watch, but bears very little resemblance to the navitimer line and the navitimer has so much historical significance, which shouldn't be used to market another, rather unrelated, timepiece. Thanks for the comment!

    • @gtv8033
      @gtv8033 5 лет назад +2

      +1 agree with you. The Navitimer’s history at Breitling had heritage design elements, particularly the integrated the slide rule for taking in-flight measurements, making it the “ultimate tool watch for a pilot”. The original Navitimers and Chronomats defined Breitling’s theme in a distinct recognizable design for many people. This watch does not suggest that kind of function.

      I'm in the same boat. When they released this watch, I thought it was awful. Definitely not a Navitimer! Now I've come to think of it just as a Breitling and I've come around to it. I'm even considering purchasing one since it seems like a great value.

      @@WatchesOnYou Great review and all, but you didn't mention the color of the leather strap, coz it's not very clear if it's dark brown or black. Also, can you please tell me what's the ref. number. Thanks

    I'm a Breitling fan and this watch just doesn't do it for me. But I do like the color of the watch. Some of the watch is just way to bland, even in the chronograph model for a breitling.

    This is an Aviator 8 Automatic, not a Navitimer...

      Actually, it is a Navitimer, per dial and case back signage. It's part of the new Aviator series.

    Ridiculous to see you wearing only one glove while handling this watch; especially when using the exposed hand to touch it all over the place and thus transfer all of your oils into it. 😂
