    What about... Bringing all of your children, the neighbor's kids, and your kids obnoxious best friend to the clinic because they want to see how Fluffy gets their temperature taken?

    I was so embarrassed one time when I had my massive husky in the waiting room. He wanted to play with the other dogs but I wouldn’t let him bother other people, so he threw a husky tantrum whining and rolling on the floor like he was dying. I tried to take him to the car but he was being hard to move so I ended up rolling him like a big log.

    We're just gonna forget to mention the people who come in ranting & raving that their animals are really sick but decline any & all work ups & get pissed at us because we can't give any answers. Or the people who come in with no money & say that we don't care about animals because we can't perform any treatment without payment.

      My favorite is: "Even my own doctor doesn't charge that much!". Do these people never read their health insurance statements?!

    I've been at the vet about 15 minutes early, and ended up waiting for over an hour for my appointment as we kept getting bumped by walk ins. I had to tell the receptionist that maybe we should leave as they were so busy with walk ins that it was an hour after my appointment. They kept telling me to wait.

    Oh this video is clearly missing those people wanting to know, why you and your pet have come to a clinic (to give instructions about the previous experiences of the issue)!
    I went to pet vet once with a dwarf hamster, who had caught some flu. The moment I told what is inside my blanket covered cage, everyone just looked elsewhere... A hamstah! How low... Ehrm! She was my dear pet and she got antibiotics that cured her :-)

      Aaaaw, thanks for taking good care of her! I LOVE HAMSTERS ❤️ The one I had in 6th grade got sick, and my mom didn't believe in taking rodents to the vet, and she died 😢

    OMG!!! Like the film Best of Show this hits WAY close to home. We get all of these all the time. Oh, and that little wiener dog sniffing the camera way adorable!!!

    Gods forbid when they refuse to let the staff properly restrain their animals.
    “No muzzle! My precious Fluffy would never bite and muzzles are just cruEL!”
    Fluffy: showing obvious signs of aggression, half moon eyes, baring teeth, fur raised, inhibited bites
    As a side note like, we get it, your animal could be the sweetest thing! But this isn’t the same environment they’re used to, there’s going to be stress and they will react accordingly. Animals in pain can be the most unpredictable as well.

    I feelt asleep up on my dogs, but they cried in there's, and rest of week under hostility, environment but that's cool USA maintain

    It works both way; office entry door struggles, with a cat and carrier as front desk stares and eats lunch. Signs all over waiting room with orders to keep pet restrained, cats in carrier. No place for either, carrier in lap, next to dog, no separation, one side cats and a place for carrier, no the floor will not do! No greeting from front desk. No acknowledgement of entering the clinic, except for “stare”. Having to go to counter and ask about appt.. no mention of wait time. Dirty, old, smelly waiting rooms. Examination rooms, once again, no updating of table, worn, remnants of clipped nails, fleas, blood. No chair for client. While having a cat put to sleep, the door opened 3 times by clinic employees who asked questions not even recognizing the situation or begging for forgiveness for such a blatant , rude interruption. Every step of the way, in a procedure, a front desk employee arrives with clipboard and up to date costs, credit card in and out of purse, now up to 800.00 and no end. Vet still struggling to figure out issue. No clear prognosis, but come back in a week( translation; we need your credit card) a screaming dog or cat in next cubicle getting a treatment. You want us to be quiet but the din from employees and caged animals overwhelmingly unsettling. Boarding cages fit for just recovery after a pets treatment or a pick-up on same day, not long term boarding. Un-groomed clinic workers, e-gads, pay bill juggling carrier, or stressed out dog or both, and front desk hasn’t a clue about the bill, finally hundreds of dollars later, cat in freezer, out the door. No thank-you, So ,be infuriated, works both ways, and for the record, Veterinarians don’t wear a white coat.

      I'm sorry to hear about your experience, as well as for your loss. If you still have pets, there are other clinics.
      Not a big deal, but for the record some vets do wear lab coats.

      That’s not as bad as the vet clinic that over dosed and gave permanent damage to one of cats and I stopped them from killing the second one.

    Good points but you come across as not so friendly... clients may not want to come back to a clinic that makes fun of them. How about a separate waiting room for cats? Or a separate holding area for "hyper dogs." Focus on the positive not the negative

      Maybe if the clients are going to be this rude, you don't want them coming back to the clinic. The number of times people are on the phone or can't control their children and/or pet is shocking and I'm speaking from over 10 years experience as a veterinary nurse.
      As for separate waiting areas- in an ideal world, totally but in reality few practices are able to do this within the constraints of the building. I've worked in practices here in the UK that are in listed buildings meaning that there isn't much you are allowed to do to change them. One had steps up to the door. Legally we had to provide disabled access but legally we couldn't change the outside of the building coz it was listed. Purpose built practices are a nice daydream for most practice owners.

      If vets could afford a separate waiting room for some clients, I think they would use it as another examination room and hire more techs. Also, seeing how an animal handles others can help the vet assess the situation. Vets can give tips on training too

      Don't you know humor when you hear it?
      The sad part about this video is: all of it is 100% true. People can be so inconsiderate when it comes to their animals! (I speak from experience as both a client and as a technician).

      uhhhh...my dog always has a private room ready that he goes into, we dont wait in the lobby. Depends on how much you spend yearly as well.

      It depends on the clinic's schedule that day. No one makes clients wait just to make them wait, but if there are more patients than doctors in the building, somebody's going to wait, according to the schedule, no matter how much they spend. That's just life.
