That's the implication of his words, but not what he actually said. He said, according to Stephen, "had he sent them back [meaning the ballots]...I believe...we wouldn't have had January 6, as we call it." Nothing about anyone getting hurt, because he of course won't admit it caused anyone to get hurt, and because he's usually very careful to phrase things for deniability.
How he thinks that squares with his claims that it was peaceful tourists, or Antifa, or FBI instigators, I sure don't know.
And lady Democracy would be suing Trump for rape.
@@retriever19golden55 Your take is a bit flawed; yes, "literal" is or should be verbatim, the words, but you acknowledge the meaning being the same, which is what the writer was alluding to ~ the classic gangster rationale. As Cassidy Hutchinson was careful to say in her recounting of exchanges she heard ~ "words to the effect" which the writer 'meant' here. BUT, you let Trump "off the hook" with regard to people getting hurt. Referring to Jan. 6th means ALL that it entails; so Trump was saying that if Pence had complied, we wouldn't have had the turmoil of that date ~ that not only saw injury but deaths. Yes, the phrasing he often uses allows for equivocation or "deniability" but this isn't one of them IMO. He likes to create his own reality & have others just accept it. You're reading into his remarks, hearing that he said nothing about people getting injured. [That he is responsible for the events of Jan. 6th includes the loss of life entailed in the breach of the Capitol, that he delighted in watching & only late in the day made an announcement urging the evacuation & return home, with "We love you."]
Im already disillusioned he and other traitors have gotten no punishment ,and further shows me there's a different justice system for us , why are civilians jailed for it but not him , why is he even allowed to run at all , it isn't pacifying extremists its giving them hope of toppling our government.

Trump wouldn't have to actually win for many citizens to believe he had. And the biggest danger is if someone else gets the Republican nomination.

Stephen has made me feel deep sympathy for Eric Trump. My entire view of Eric is as a little boy who was ignored by his rich father. He never got love, and it’s all he ever wanted. He didn’t care about the money … he just wanted a daddy.
