Those lifts in Ron's boots are really major additions, probably 2 to 3 inches at least. You can actually see the edge of his foot, and the angle it's at, pressed against the side of the boots at 1-43. It looks like it's close to a 45-degree angle. It would be awkward and uncomfortable to walk with them I'd reckon.

I read on another video that many politicians and celebs get boots custom made with a permanent height boost insert built in. But what may have happened is that he uses a removable insert which can be inserted into any boots he wears but which did not quite fit properly inside those black boots he wore on that show. But if those boots were custom made for him with a permanent height insert then someone did a rather poor job. It literally looks like he's wearing wedge heeled boots. And the whole point of getting boots custom made with height inserts is so that no one can tell you're wearing lifts.
You know, I always thought Ron DeSantis looked like the high-heels-wearin' type of fella...
