- The Double Deuce is the meanest, loudest and rowdiest bar south of the Mason-Dixon Line, and Dalton (Patrick Swayze) has been hired to clean it up. He might not look like much, but the Ph.D.-educated bouncer proves he's more than capable -- busting the heads of troublemakers and turning the roadhouse into a jumping hot-spot. But Dalton's romance with the gorgeous Dr. Clay (Kelly Lynch) puts him on the bad side of cutthroat local big shot Brad Wesley (Ben Gazzara).

Ahhh, the 80's...this was what it was all about. Hunky little heartthrobs filling big shoes, throwing punches, drinkin' coffee, killing the baddies & winning the girl.

I always loved this film. Sam Eliot, Swayze, Terry Funk and the main goon. It was heavily character driven. Can’t wait to see McGregor and Gyllenhall.
You know what I liked about it? At first when we meet Dalton he is a bit more calm and collected but over time we see him pushed to his edge then we see what he is capable of.
Except for the fight scenes the movie is unbearable 😂😅

My all-time favorite version of 'Roadhouse' is still the original from the 80s. Patrick Swayze was an incredible actor, known for fully embodying every character he portrayed. It was also a treat to watch Sam Elliott and Kelly Lynch showcase their talents on screen. Directed by Rowdy Herrington, this film is a must-watch. So grab some popcorn, sit back, and enjoy this amazing cinematic experience.

The original was amazing. The remake is good, but the way Jake Gyllenhaal has a constant smile is weird.

Can we stop for a moment to realize that Sam Elliot(Wade Garrett) in this movie is the COOLEST DUDE ever set foot on a hollywood set and also the glue that keeps this movie from falling apart? Of course Sam is the coolest dude anyways, but with Garrett he toped it. I mean imagine Garrett making an appearance in sons of anarchy. Everybody would look like kids with bicycles. Long live Sam!
