Umm also like the girl below me. Totally not related to the video but. I really would like a tutorial of how you did your hair so perfectly?! Lol I LOVE IT love it.
Juicy is definitely the only word to describe these 💧😅 Also I love how much you laugh when you and Sean are together. You two are so adorable, it makes me happy to watch lol
You are so creative and adorable. I found your videos last year when New Zealand first went into lockdown. Something about your personality and energy is so calming, you're a shining light. Thank you for everything that you do, it helps more than you know :)
It’s the resistance of a fluid, as opposed to its flow. Colloquially, people refer to viscosity as the thickness of a liquid. Molasses has a higher viscosity compared to water. Hope that helps!
Omg I just learned about liquid latex and PVC glue. I wish I knew about it sooner like last night when I was making a.lot of jewelry pieces. I just ordered some.
Great video as always hun, but I just wanted to offer a little advice on how to stop your top coating resin from starting to set up too fast in the jug. You make up such a huge amount in the jug that it causes the resin to start to build up heat super fast, so it is better to either mix up smaller amounts as you need it or you can mix the larger amount as normal but separate it into smaller cups so the chemical reaction doesn't kick in so quickly. Art resin is not meant for deep pours, as you know, so this is why it starts to heat up so quickly. Not only will it save you on resin but maybe not getting any grey hairs lol. I hope this is helpful and love your videos. All the best, Diane, UK xx
I can't get over how amazingly satisfying it is to watch you spread that liquid latex out. The way it flawlessly meets the edge... I'm only 6 minutes in and I'm already pleased. The "SO SATISFYING" wasn't just clickbait hahah
You are so cute. I love your excitement. Everything looks great 👍. It is always a good thing to learn something new. Thank you for sharing your wonderful personality with us. Love you two.
Heather, you do such an amazing job of explaining your process and that is so helpful. Did you let the resin sit to thicken up or can you use it right after you mixed it?? Would this be a good resin to use for making flower coasters ?? Thanks heather, bty, I love your personality, don’t change.🍁🍁
Lol I’ve had both the gnat/fly landing in resin problem (also used tweezers to pick them out 😬) and the resin curing up too quick problem, I’m actually still workin on that particular project… just sanding it smooth 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
What are those beautiful colors you used on the heart love that pink and blue and the stars where can I get it all what kind of resin do I use for a clear and glossy shine. Thank you
You can use the tape method. Taping around the very very bottom of the sides of the resin peice. She has a video on topcoating that explains better:) The best tape is the blue style painters tape. It will provide protection to the peice and also give somewhere for the extra resin to fall down and drip off.
You're videos are always so satisfying. I would love it if you'd talk about how you calculate how much resin to mix up for your projects. I think I'm finally starting to figure it out, but I always seem to overmix when I do large pieces. I don't hate the word Juicy - knock yourself out girl!
Thanks for the tips and ideas! I have a question for you of you happen to see this and are able to reply, i am having issues with putting foil inserts/decals in my resin. I use a heat gun and pop all bubbles before putting them in and I try to out them in as gently as possible but almost Everytime when i de-mold the pieces, there are air bubble trapped under them .and I've even tried putting it in when the resin is more fluid and also when it has thickened and it doesn't seem to matter lol
With that last moon,I thought the drips looked lovely,so here's an idea 💡 Christmas icicles, you could get the wire lights and drizzle the resin off them......OR..... Halloween 🎃👻 make pools of blood and splats dripping from window frames or letter boxes. Loved how the latex worked for you ,who new that wood happen, not me that's for sure, right I'm off to bed now before I get any crrraaazzzziiieerr, night all😘😅🤣😂
Do you know how to get the sides and bottom from looking cloudy in resin? The top is clear and I can see through to the bottom but the sides of the resin block and bottom where it touched the mold is cloudy
This might be the fault of your molds. If all parts of the mold inside are shiny you likely won’t have this problem, if they’re not really glossy that’s why it’s happening. There are a ton of reasons that could be happening but this seems the most likely
@@MysticHeather thanks totally makes sense! I was practicing on a silicone mold that’s matte just to get down how to do layers and stuff with no real bubbles thanks to you! Next mold’s quality should make it better :)
I maybe missed where you made the moon and the heart pieces where it looks like they were maybe stamped? Also, with the skeleton hands, how did you do the black lines in them? I have a set of tarot card molds, and I am excited to make them with my shimmer shimmer mania awesomeness powders, but I think I will need to do something to the print on them to be able to see which cards they are!!
Painters tape can be helpful! If you have a lot of edges I suggest the latex. But for larger peices the tape painters tape works, she has a video on it. It is about topcoating.
So does this mean that you no longer do the painters tape method for top coating, like you’ve replaced that method with the latex method? Or is there a reason to do one or the other?
Hey I JUST watched her latex vs. Tape video right before this one. She usually used the tape method for easy round peices, although even in that video she seemed to prefer the latex :) idk if that helps or not.
@@resonatewithrae4413 I actually went back and watched that same video after I commented and caught that reasoning you mentioned, and it makes sense! Thank you :)
The liquid latex is only to protect the bottom of the piece when you do topcoats. So the resin that drips over the sides doesn’t cure in drippy blobs on the back of your piece. Liquid latex protects the bottom & you can peel it off after everything is done!
I have only worked with resin to make cups but always use a torch to get rid of bubbles. I noticed you didn't use anything to get rid of bubbles. Is it the type of resin you are using that does not need to have the torch to break any bubbles? I have several molds that I want to try but don't want to waste a bunch of resin doing it wrong. Thanks for your awesome videos and beautiful products!

Resin IS juicy! It is a forbidden snack.
And a very expensive one too!lol

Ok so how do you get the super fine detail on the hands?? I’m struggling with that!
Absolutely love your videos. I just wondered if it would be easier to dome the small edges with UV resin?
SO sometimes if you start flash curing you can hit it with a heat gun and it'll liquify a little more for you to work with.

I just bought this liquid latex but it’s the consistency of water and I feel like that’s not normal, is it supposed to be that thin?
