I'd love to see a video about setting up a resin art room. What you'll need and what you wish you knew type thing.
..also how to set up with proper ventilation and suggestions about about how to set up a well ventilated area in a cold climate when venting through an open window will compromise the correct curing temperature of the resin (this is where I am stuck).
Wow! Great result! I'm new to this art and can't seem to finish off my edges nicely, this was very helpful, thanks!
Don't you LOVE,LOVE, your dremmel???? I use mine for so much! Not just resin. The piece is beautiful!
Wow!! That piece is next level!! Absolutely stunning!! Great job!!
Absolutely beautiful. Love the white background on this piece. Thank you for posting this video.
Just finished pouring a piece I’ll need to sand like this, so what a blessing your video was and right on time! lol

Sanding edges is exactly what I need to know right now
Beautiful as always! You are so talented and I watch all your videos on YT. Been watching them and that was one of the reasons I started crafting/creating with resin. Thank you for always being so kind and helpful with me when I was a newby!!!
That piece is GORGEOUS! 😍🤩😍

It’s really beautiful. I hope your friend loves it.
So beautiful!
U are for sure right on the respirator I didnt wear one, one time while sanding and I got really sick with bronchitis bc of it. Never again, always use a respirator. Love the juicy pour!! 😍
Fantastic, informative and helpful with a superb result - lovely work H 🤗❣
I love this so much. I’m working on a big piece (the 1st time didn’t go well). Definitely needed some motivation on how pretty they can be.
Gorgeous!!!
Magnifique idée et fantastique réalisation !!!!! 👍👍👍💗
So beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️ thanks for sharing ❤️❤️
Absolutely gorgeous ❤️❤️
Thanks so helpful it looks amazing
You did a beautiful job ❤️. At one point I literally wiped my screen when you were sanding… one of those ‘hand/forehead’ moments 😂
That’s so funny I do that occasionally ! Lol 😆
That is gorgeous
Very cool video. I've been wanting to learn about resin and top coats. Thanks
OMG 😲 I luv luv luv that 😍😍😍😍
Thank you for this! I have roses drying from my grandmothers funeral and my mother wants me to preserve them like this. I learned almost 3 years ago about using the dremel - sadly this is AFTER I gave myself tendinitis in my palm from sanding a paperweight. Now I use the dremel - try the flail wheel!!! - and sanding blocks. Makes life so much easier.... now to get rid of the tendinitis. Still in physical therapy from it!
This help me out so much. I made 3 table tops and the edges are sharp. I will do this!❤😊
I totally see why yoou have soooo many subs! Clear voice, clear video, great edits , thanks!
Thanks, I needed this video! I've been so nervous to use mine.
Very beautiful. Would love to do this for my daughter in law.
That's really pretty :)
Beautiful Piece
A reptile heat mat to warm your resin is fantastic if you get one that is adjustable heat. I leave my bottles sitting on mine and also use one to sit my curing items on. Sending Cornish love 💘
Gorgeous.
I'm so jealous. It took me several pieces to learn to sand with a dremel and keep it even - I was telling you don't learn on that piece, but it turned out beautifully.
Beautifully Awesome!
Really gorgeous 🤩🤩🤩
I want to get a Drexel tool. For the easy sanding and for carving out designs in the resin. Looks great!
I highly recommend the flex shaft attachment. It makes the handling of smaller pieces or even just any size, a bit easier.
Agree
Beautiful
The way you slam that battery in looks like you are already a dremmel professional! 😂❤️🙏🏻❤️
Thx for this video
I recently bought a "dremmel," but it was an off brand version with same abilities.
The piece was so beautiful!
I love my Dremel!!!😍 Mine is actually from another brand but it works the same. I have an accessory for my, so to speak an extension that is clamped like any other tool. The handpiece is much thinner, so it is much easier to handle, similar to a pen. You have more freedom of movement and can reach some places much better.
This piece turned out so beautiful, I can totally understand your euphoria!🤩🥰
I have a WEN rotary tool (both corded and cordless) that came with, probably, the same accessories as yours. I've owned that Dremel as well and I would have to agree that the thinner handpiece is easier to handle. I was afraid I would end up gripping it harder in order to have more control but I feel like I don't grip it as hard as I did the Dremel. Having carpal tunnel in both wrist and a liteny of nerve issues, the lighter my grip - the longer I am able to use said tool.
It's beautiful. I'm guessing the sides of the top coat are wavy from using the Dremel tool, which will make the sanded part wavy. I'm only trying to help, but I would suggest using a sanding block to smooth the Dremel'd part, after you did the majority with the Dremel. You do some awesome work, and I know the owner of those flowers is going to be very happy with them.
I noticed that too and I think it's more so usually from the mold shifting slightly as the resin cures. To me all of the sides of a piece need to either be cut off on saw or sand and smooth. For very even edges I would actually recommend using a flush trim router
The tool didn't cause the waves. That's light reflection
That is a gorgeous piece! I wish my dried flower pieces turned out 1/8th of the way your piece does. I always have some sort of issue with mine. Either the flower changes color or there is an air pocket I missed or my resin ends up yellowing. I've just about given up doing flower resin pieces. Keep up the wonderful work!
Welcome to the world of Dremel. Actually several of the heads are very useful, not just the sanding drum. I use the diamond carving bit set from Harbor Freight for details sanding and signing my resin work. The cutting tips can be used for carving work. Lots and lots of uses for dremel.
If you ever do anymore make up videos can you show how you did your eye makeup from the start of this video? It was so pretty 😍
I've always had difficulty with sending and top coating any squared shape. It's really difficult to keep the nice edges. So fingers crossed your video will help me out. 🤞😁
The apeoids from the dawn of time agree the colorized sanding spray out now would suit BRILLIANT people like you perfectly!!
It really is soooo beautiful!! Did you use casting resin for the original pour?
hint: tape a metal ruler along edges to get it uniformed and keep from over sanding :)
Hi, check Flex-Shaft Attachment for Dremmel. You dont need to hold a heavy tool all the time
Great job it looks beautiful. Question, could you just cover the outer underside edge rather than the whole back of the base, so not to waste too much latex product?
I need to know
Alright a Dremel you in the business girl, lol. Hey Heather and Shane
I wonder if a nail drill (efile) would work just as well as a dremel? You can pick them up quite cheaply online as well as sanding bands that look about the same as the dremel ones dirt cheap in bulk. As well as various other bits of course. They also have a much smaller and easier to hold hand piece.
What grade sandpaper are you using please?
It's absolutely stunning! 🤩😍
Rotary tools can hop on the edges making grooves... If you can angle it a little - it hops less. Also following with a solid block or emery board can remove grooves.
You’re awesome. Thank you for this video. Which attachment did you use to sand with the drummel. Does it matter which?? Thanks again. Love your work!! Helena
It's beautiful! Quick question tho... were the flowers put in fresh or dried?
How do you ventilate the room when you are using resin? I'm about to set up a room to start learning and worried that the fumes will become overwhelming and then travel through the house.
do you use a different resin for the top coat other than the thick pour?
Gracious that is pretty! How much resin did it use? 😱
I wish I found this video & your channel earlier 😢
That was so satisfying 😌
Can the liquid latex be placed on resin itself & peeled off afterwards?
Ohh my fabulous job I’ve been following you for years now my daughter wants her wedding flowers dried & made into a resin work I live n the uk were is the best mould place to use please
Do you use the same resin as the topcoat? Would love to know as a resin artist myself!
Hi what resin do u use just its glass clear Nd beautiful xxx
I’m so upset I could cry. I did my friends wedding flowers in a block like this. I have been following you for a while as well as others. It was perfect except for 2 bubbles that I wanted to correct close to the surface. I sanded and then put the top coat on but I now lost my crystal clarity!!! You can definitely tell it was sanded underneath and I don’t know what to do to fix it. Please help. I’m literally in tears since I have been working on this for so long.
Even cheaper? Mini nail e-file!!
Beeeeeeautiful! Could you have (/ can I will? lol) taped the bottom instead of that monster layer?
Hi! What torch do you use? I tried looking for it in your Amazon list but didn’t see it. Thank you!
Would it be possible to make a mold of a cloth curtain and make resin curtains ? (Like classic stage curtains pulled back) that would go in the corners of windows? I just feel like sunlight shining through a resin curtain that's organic in shape but filled with flowers and colors foliage would be beautiful.
HI HEATHER is your mold homemade or did you purchase it. I didn’t see it on the supply list
What is the white layer? Is it resin with a white dye?
what size mold is this please? it's gorgeous!
Could you have used UV resin for a top coat? If the item was smaller?
I have been using an old fashioned plug in coffee percolator. To heat water. It is too hot to use without mixing with cold waster
where do you buy your molds to do the work
Supercool⚘
I m sorry I m quite new to resin art so maybe this is a dumb question how did you get that white base? 😅
You do beautiful work! I’m gonna try something for the first time my mom just passed Saturday. I wanted to put flowers and her jewelry in resin is that possible?
Jewelry is easy flowers are quite challenging. Pressed ones are much easier. Hugs.
How do you pack these to ship?
I saw some resin artists sanding the whole top layer and then flood coat it. Do we actually need to do that or sanding the edges is enough?
Can’t you hit the top coat with a flame to get rid of any bubbles
