Is it good for music producing and recording? Like for the purpose of recording rappers in a small home studio, not necessarily for mixing or mastering?
These do not have a hiss. I usually keep them about 70-80% volume and only adjust volume on my Vocaster Duo and don't really hear hiss until the Vocaster duo is >60% volume and nothing is playing. I never leave the volume that high though since it's blasting the sound at that point when something is playing
Thank you! I actually made these myself with some scrap foam I had laying around from modding my keyboards. I made them to be similar to these on Amazon amzn.to/3KWe9Mp.
I actually have not tried the Kanto Yu2, but these edifier ones work great for music listening and it has some controls for bass and treble in case you want to adjust that
@@nerdgrafx I had the chance the test these out at home for remote work.. and realised that they're great for music, but I didn't enjoy them for zoom meetings. Low quality audio from people's mics were too harsh 😅
@@Kmmc2011 Oh yea, I can definitely see that happening. I would not use these for a video meeting, especially since they do not have a mic and could create an echo right into whatever microphone you are using as well.

I do think these would work as a flatter sound over regular speakers as long as you don't adjust the bass or treble on the speakers.
I have a question, when these monitors are connected via TRS, do they have that hiss sound that many monitors have?

The MR4 Studio is marvellous but I miss a subwoofer out.
I agree that a subwoofer would definitely help out on the bass for those of us that like the kick of bass
Hey
What are the dimensions of the speakers? Im trying to find out if I have space for them on my desk.
Thanks in advance. :)
Hey there! The speaker dimensions are 7.78 x 5.51 x 8.98 inches for each speaker, hope that helps
Hello there! What is the name of the device on 2:09?? Thanks!!
Hey there! That's a Vocaster One from Focusrite. I use it to hook up the speakers to the monitor as well as record audio for my videos
Great video - where did you get the little angled risers you have under the speakers?

@@nerdgrafx Thanks!
As speakers yes. As monitors… nah.
Another great video bro! Can’t wait for the next one!!!
Have you tried the Kanto Yu2? Would the sound be comparable for music listening?

For the audio interface I am currently using the Scarlett Solo Gen 3
Do you think having speakers at your desk is an essential accessory?
