I would suggest one thing, if you treat your business as finding other people’s need and you would like to use your ability to help them, then it’s much easier to be consistent, since there are countless people out there and countless needs out there every day and every moment. But if you treat your business as how to benefit yourself only, it becomes so hard as you are attached to your money growth, and these numbers in your dashboard, and soon become disappointed.

Ever since i started watching your videos I feel like im upgrading as an artist. You lay out the pros and cons, do and do nots. Preesh your effort man!
This was actually one of the only videos that really helped me out, you earned a like! I’m a struggling music channel and have been stuck at 29 subscribers for a while. I’m starting this 90 challenge now
thanks a lot man, I'm making the jump towards making music my serious career, and these videos really help me get a grasp of what works and what doesn't.
This was the best video you’ve made in my opinion. This is literally “Gaining a fanbase 101”. Now I know exactly what to it’s just are you going to do it, no different than going to the gym
I've been trying to find ways of promoting, and came across this video a couple hours ago. I say "a couple" because I paused it to apply what you were teaching for the IG following (12tags & 10comments/ea). In doing so, I immediately had 6 people start following me about a 1/4 way through the task. This is a very good sign that there is truth in what you are teaching! I'm not a fan of sales tactics. I personally don't like being approached by salesmen. So, it's been a little rough getting things moving. But, this feels natural. Like having regular conversation with random people. I feel more motivated than ever. I'm all in on the #1000in90 challenge!
@@teibo When searching through the hashtags to like/comment on, it's others posts. The idea is to get your name out there, and let people know you exist. On the other hand, if I am doing any direct self-promotion, it's always in my posts.
Really enjoyed this, and felt inspired. We have been working on the consistency and yes - it is hard- but it is also super fun. We learn so much about other musicians and music lovers
I own my own company, one of three, of the major additive products in my industry. I've done sales for 32 years. That simple class was better than any sales seminar I've ever been to. That's how it's worked for me. Every scribble on your board. Great content!
Been a week since I've been doing this and I'm already seeing a bump in my follower count! I was struggling at 497 and now I'm at 513!! That's +16 followers in that week! I'm gonna aim it for a day now ;) Update: Was at 520 but now due to people randomly deleting their accounts me got me to 515 :(
@@AmxrJ99 guys stop you're reminding me of those people writing under workout/diet/exercise videos that constantly ask other people if it works before trying it themselves, but this isn't even working out or something "hard"as following a diet.. do it yourselves and see if it works, those days you spend waiting for an answer that won't come are days you could have spent working on your fanbase
Simply following people with the same interest works much better. I've been doing it for 5 days and got 200 followers. I'm not in the music niche but my post get about 50 likes, 100+ on a few.
I feel like this is what I've been looking for. Not just motivation, but more like a wake up call. Telling me to get my ass up and work even harder than before. Thank you.
This opened up my eyes to how I've been taking the short-cut to interacting (liking & leaving emojis but not leaving comments), now I know what I need to do, thanks for the straight-forward (non-b.s.) strategies.
Wow, can we just appreciate the value of this video!! I’m pursuing a masters in digital communication and media arts. This video explained more than most courses involving social media marketing in under 20 mins. Thank you!! 🙏🔥
Bruh so I tried this over the last 30 hours I got 13 followers from just interacting with people that hashtag the same things that I do. I've put money in ads with 0 followers gained, just interacting, for free, got me 13 in a day. That's amazing to me. Now I just gotta keep it up and stay dedicated and that averages to over 1100 in 90 days! Edit: most important, it wasn't 30 solid hours of engaging and searching for hashtags, it was just 5-10 minutes here and there throughout the day and a good hour of actually sifting through tags. It wasn't a lot of work at all.
I challenge you all to the #1000in90 challenge. If you're all in let me know as a reply to this comment.

lilphilly 333 hey there! I think you should do what you think is best but I always feel like doing singles to build hype is the way to go
It really hit home when he said all of us matter. What a good man
It’s truly authentic content! Straight to the point and no BS. I think people forget we’re all humans sometimes
This is by far the best "how to" video I've seen on youtube.
Pete super awesome vid 👏
agreed. one day i wanna be like him
In November 2019 I fell and fell. thank you for raising me again. I'm very excited. God bless you Adamlvy
I cant wait to start this strategy. This video is very helpful for the people just starting to release music! As I release the songs I have planned I will definitely continue to watch your videos to help me market them better! Thank you for the videos sir!
coming to this 5 years later! I appreciate the reminder to use social media as it was initially intended- not as a unilateral display of impressive content, but as a way to build real relationships with real people. Will be trying out this strategy in a modified form over the next several months :) thank you!
Dude I started using a whiteboard too I love having more visuals and also being a horrific drawer makes for solid jokes
Nice. I'm a dope artist if you're looking for Trippy pop Art 😈🤘

It felt like I was back at school but what I was learning was actually interesting and I wanted to attend more classes😂🙏🏽🔥
@@db4ks you have to release music through a distributor
@@Infamous15 what is the distributor?
@@Infamous15 I distributed through a distributor but I still haven't got a official artist channel
Definitely committed. It seems impossible till you get to about day 6 and see small results. Thanks for the tips as always Adam.
Stro Stylez bro let's help each other. I'll comment on your video if you comment on mine?

This shit's still great 3 years later. Great video man
Thanks man!
Wow I never thought about my music from a marketing point of view, always thought I could build a fanbase from just writing but I am definitely going to apply this to try and build my channel! Thank you so much for this video
The first sign that this video has changed my life is the fact that I am leaving a comment here. Thank you Adam Ivey.
I spent almost 3 years chasing numbers and since I've been reformatting my life , this was the video I needed to see. Thank you Adam
Thanks for the help, Adam! It is comforting to have some specific actions we can take and then evaluate the results and decide how to proceed. Watch us grow and we'll see if it works... Currently 85 followers Easter 2023... ~Hevan the Blue Rocker
You just gained a new subscriber. Your content and videos are so helpful, informative, humbling, and strategic. You inspire people like me to stop bullshitting and to start making it happen. You made me realize that life is a game, and if you are patient and strategic, you can make it happen for yourself. Time is key. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, and please continue to make videos.
WEST GURA very true
Thank you for a really informative video. Most people talk for 18 minutes and never say anything. I actually have somewhere to start now and actually found your video useful enough to subscribe to your page! Thank you again!
Please listen to my music and tell me what you think
thank you for your time! Your videos are really helpful:) I'm actually releasing my first single tomorrow so im getting a first step in this music biz so excited to learn more
great strategy i have never thought of. i will be trying this strategy.
That intro gets me everytime. Such a youtuber intro lol

This is some of the best marketing for music but I've seen. And I watch a lot of marketing videos. Your information is the most clear! Thanks
Ever since i started watching your videos I feel like im upgrading as an artist. You lay out the pros and cons, do and do nots. Preesh your effort man!
I appreciate you watching! Thank you.
Im sorry but the marker sounds make me shiver
ive started taking notes on your stuff because you have great points on the music business and industry and honestly thanks this is helping a lot
This was actually one of the only videos that really helped me out, you earned a like! I’m a struggling music channel and have been stuck at 29 subscribers for a while. I’m starting this 90 challenge now
I'm waiting until I get the recordings done (need a drummer) then its all RUclips for me. Let me know how youre getting on :)
So, how did it go?
How did it go man?
Really great video , trying this now very helpful for a musician , thank you man
thanks a lot man, I'm making the jump towards making music my serious career, and these videos really help me get a grasp of what works and what doesn't.
This is by far the clearest explanation and most useful and understandable video I’ve watched. I’m in for the 1000 in 90 Thank you!
This was the best video you’ve made in my opinion. This is literally “Gaining a fanbase 101”. Now I know exactly what to it’s just are you going to do it, no different than going to the gym
When he say hashtags what does he mean? Like what specific hashtags is he talking about?
Hey how's it going 2 weeks later on?
@@ytminis It's going good! A little behind target, at no ones fault but my own. But, it is still going well 👍

Good luck:)
Really enjoyed this, and felt inspired. We have been working on the consistency and yes - it is hard- but it is also super fun. We learn so much about other musicians and music lovers
Challenge accepted! Started today and I'm already seeing results. Thank you, Adam!
Send me you name on which profile I’ll help ya out
This is really sound advice. I can't wait to put this into action!!!
I own my own company, one of three, of the major additive products in my industry. I've done sales for 32 years. That simple class was better than any sales seminar I've ever been to. That's how it's worked for me. Every scribble on your board. Great content!
Thanks Rick! That’s one hell of a compliment and it’s much appreciated man.
Been a week since I've been doing this and I'm already seeing a bump in my follower count! I was struggling at 497 and now I'm at 513!! That's +16 followers in that week! I'm gonna aim it for a day now ;)
Update: Was at 520 but now due to people randomly deleting their accounts me got me to 515 :(
Did you make it to 90 days? And if so, how'd it go?
How'd it go for you?
Thank you.
Yup - straight up 💪
This is by far the best strategy no matter what you do online.

This was a true goldmine, I’ll check back here in 90days !
i really like how you broke down the numbers, really helped 🐢
This opened up my eyes to how I've been taking the short-cut to interacting (liking & leaving emojis but not leaving comments), now I know what I need to do, thanks for the straight-forward (non-b.s.) strategies.
Yo do me a favor and sub to my yt If you enjoy my video. I'm just trying to get to 200 subscribers. Help a dude out. I need it
Wow, can we just appreciate the value of this video!! I’m pursuing a masters in digital communication and media arts. This video explained more than most courses involving social media marketing in under 20 mins. Thank you!! 🙏🔥
This video is a goldmine for aspiring musicians! Building a fanbase from scratch is no joke. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
It wasn't a lot of work at all.
fairplay i will try this to try and grow my 35 lol
hows it going so far?
I had tried for a solid week straight, with the holidays coming up I had some stuff to focus on. But in 7 days I gained 50 followers. From doing this.
Thank you, my friend, for putting in the effort to share your wisdom with us as well as inspiring us. Let's get the 1000!
Please listen to my music and tell me what you think
