  • For those of you who are unable to attend our drone fishing demos, this is how they go down. This video is most of what happened at one of our most recent drone fishing demos at Karioitahi, West Coast, South Auckland. We were mainly using the Swellpro FD1 drone, running out from the new Seahorse Drone Winch. We also had the SwellPro SPRY+ and SplashDrone 4 drones, as well as the AEE Condor A22.
    SwellPro FD1 SPRY and SplashDrone 4 Virtual Drone Fishing Demo
    How to fish with the water resistant Splashdrone FD1 fishing drone. Drone fishing techniques with Kaleb in 15 - 20 knots or more of offshore wind. This video is instructional and shows all the "How to fish with a drone" techniques if you are considering getting in to drone fishing but are unsure how easy it is. Calibrating the SwellPro FD1 is incredibly easy, especially when compared to the older generation Splashdrone 3, 3+, and earlier models.
    The SwellPro Splashdrone FD1 has a max payload of 2kg, max casting distance of 1600m, and comes with your choice of either tension release, or mechanical release as shown in this video. The mechanical release also has the option of a live feed camera so you can see where you are dropping your baits. The new battery allows up to a massive 26 minutes of flight time.
    Paul's Fishing Systems runs regular drone fishing demonstrations throughout NewZealand. Subscribe to our newsletter at the link below to receive notifications of where and when we will be fishing at a beach near you.
    The SwellPro FD1 Drone Fishing setup is one of the easiest fishing rigs to use, and is ideal for anyone wanting to catch fish with a drone, from beginners who have never flown a drone, through to those who have experience but want a water resistant fishing drone.
    The Splashdrone 4 (and older models) and SwellPro Fisherman Drone (FD1) are water resistant, which means they will resist the entry of water to an IPX4 level. For technical reasons, some parts of the drone are designed to be not completely sealed or completely watertight, so the drone should not be submerged under water. If the Splashdrone comes in contact with saltwater, the user is advised to wash any saltwater off with fresh water. Always follow all documentation and instruction manuals that come with the drone.

    I gave your video and your channel credit when ordering my FD1 from SwellPro. If I wasn't so far away, I would order from you, but at least I gave some credit, subscribed, and hit the like!. Thank you for the videos and all the time and effort you put in them.

    I have a 10meter leader on mine okay it’s gonna pendulum

    • @paulsfishingsystems
      @paulsfishingsystems  Год назад

      Each to their own, we use and recommend these rigs as they are unlikely to pendulum, and as all the line is in line with the sinker on the far end, tension can be applied best to the gear when set. Tight lines catch more fish on these running trace longlines, same on boat longlines, as the fish will pick the bait up and run with it, when it hits a stopper that sets the hook. The tighter your line is, the greater the chance of the hook setting in the fish

Now Im back big island I wanna buy a drone but I'm trying to figure out how to set up the line with the reef over here. The set up would have to be different what are your thoughts for setting up the line in Hawaii Braddah? I was thinking you would have to have a bobber attached to the line.

    Did you have any issues with the wind putting a large loop or bend in your line as the drone went out?

    • @paulsfishingsystems
      @paulsfishingsystems  2 года назад

      That’s only really an issue when using a tension release, these have mechanical release so the bait will drop even if the line is slack

    Awesome video. What fishing drone gives the most bang for your buck for a 1st time fishing drone buyer?

    • @paulsfishingsystems
      @paulsfishingsystems  2 года назад

      Really depends what you’re trying to do. As a general fishing drone with no camera, the AEE Condor does the job just fine running 6 hooks in up to 15kn winds. Stepping up from there the SwellPro FD1 has a bigger lift and can handle winds up to 22kn. Both of these drones are very easy to use
