- Perhaps one of the most forgotten Pokemon in the land steps into the spotlight today. Is this dog all bark or does it have a little bite?

🍤 Solo Run Rules: 🍤
►I can only use the title Pokemon in battle. No switching at all, HM Pokemon are required.
►No use of items in battle. Potions, TMs, etc. are allowed outside of battle.
►No use of skips/exploits.
►The TMs for Double Team and Curse are banned. As a result, I time runs at Blue and see what a Pokemon needs to make the Red fight consistent without resorting to boring strategies.
►I play on x4 speed and use real time for these runs along with consideration on how the Red fight went.

#Granbull #pokemon #pokemonchallenge #pokemoncrystal
I don't know how common it is but I like the theory that Juggler Irwin is doing his own Pokémon challenge run with just voltorb.
For forgotten gen 2 Pokémon I'd be thinking of slugma, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was gen 3
Yea but I'd say the fact that it was in gen 3 gyms/trainers makes it known a little longer. When's the last time you seen Ledian? You don't even see it in gen 2 lol.
Octillery comes to mind for me - especially when you consider what a beast it is - to be so forgotten. It is one of the very-very few Pokémon in Gen 1 & Gen 2 that can max out at over 300 Attack & Special Attack (I believe 308 is possible in both).
The other thing I wanted to mention was how enjoyable these runs have become. They are so efficient, and you can literally see your improvement running Crystal from video to video. Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in.
Octillery is a fine choice but he was a menace in gen 4 in the final gym. My vote is Ledian and Tyrouge. They are left in gen 2 only basically lol.
Thanks for that! I think I'm in a good spot where I'm comfortable running it. The next one won't be as good for sure though.
Looking forward to the TOMBSTONER Granbull drops on this run today! Most forgotten gen 2 Pokemon is definitely Yanma. If you told me it came out in gen 4 with Yanmega, I'd have to think twice
Those poor Pokémon that haven’t gotten updates since Gen 2 are crying rn.
Chuck, BROTHER
@Gym Leader Matt they've took awhile to buff some of these gen 2 Pokémon
Girafarig literally got its buff recently through evolution
Granbull got buffed last year and it's the PREMIUM fairy attacker terrorizing Pokémon reborn
I know this is an older video but I recently came across your channel so now I’m watching all the old stuff to catch up! I really appreciate all the additional UI stuff for your Pokémon and even the enemy Pokémon during battles is a nice addition! Thank you for the video :)
Appreciate it! It gradually improves over time. The emerald stuff took all my energy since I had to custom do the math for all the stats myself but it's the cleanest overlay I got!
Granbull really deserves more love. It's a solid pokemon!
The speed is bad but the fast leveling group can't be overlooked!
Intimidate and because of reborn gamefreak gave it the FAIRY TYPE
Those buffs and how terrifying the granbull was in reborn definitely put it as the premium fairy physical attacker in gen 7
@@nautgamingnautgaming9949um fan games doesn't dictate wat gamefreak does the with the mainline games :/
@@lolidemon3163 I would say they noticed the past few years actually
They hinted us that through legends arceus when they ran a different type of Pokémon game thats free world, btw crystal clear was the inspiration to get real dam specific here
scarlet/violet with iono
And I am wondering if they knew about these fangames as far back as unova with the trials and kahunas
If you want a GREAT FANGAME Pokémon reborn it got done 9 months ago INCREDIBLE GAME n like the original games I LOVE REPLAYING reborn
I know a lot of folks forget Remoraid evolves into Octillery. Octillery is a total beast though, insane coverage and decent stats.
Yea, Octillery and Hitmontop are probably my top 2.
Yeah, but it suffers the same sadness that is 45 base speed. Had one on my team in a recent Crystal run, great offence but man does it get outsped often.
@@Valivali94 Low speed is Gen 2's signature. I'll go into it more the next Crystal video but the more you look into it the more you notice how bad they wanted new Pokemon to be slow as hell.
Octillery does have an insane move pool for a pure water type. Later generations I would run, Scald, energy ball, Flamethrower, ice beam.
I'm not sure it's one of the most forgotten, but I always forget about Smeargle. Maybe because it's so gimmicky.
Nice touch with the Pokémon wearing the held items on the overlay.
Thanks! I got damage showing on them as well but my sprites are my most proud thing I’ve gotten to work.
I’m going to do a Smeargle Gen 1 run one day. I got the code but red/blue moves are so bad.
Omg I got to the ice/ass bit, I am in stitches
I have to admit, I thought about commenting on it in every video where you say ice, but I never did, and I never noticed other people doing it... Thank you for giving us a demonstration of the difference between the words ice and ass.
I hope you never feel like you are pressured into changing the way you speak, I think it is great and, yeah, sometimes it can be really funny
Man, people have been doing it for well over a year lmao. I could care less in reality and outside of correcting mistakes or something I'm actually wrong about, I'd never change the way I talk for anonymous RUclips commenters lmao.
"I will say that whoever named the caves in Johto, they are kind of a degenerate"
😂😂😂
I love your humor, makes your videos so great
Thanks! We got dark cave, ice cave, and cavey cave.
Those dog tusks make Granbull look like such a beast. Can’t say I’ve ever used one though, even starting from gen 1 as a player and gen 2 for Granbull.
Yea, I was honestly never interested in it. It never grabbed my eye either.
To answer the question presented, I'd say Ledyba/Ledian is likely the most forgotten Gen 2 Pokémon (not counting babies). Most other mediocre Pokémon got some sort of attention over the years. Many received new evolutions or pre-evolutions in later generations. Delibird got Iron Bundle in Gen 9. Furret got the "Furret on an Escalator" meme. Spinarak/Ariados got an exclusive move in Gen 7. Remoraid/Octillery got Moody as a hidden ability in Gen 5 (one of the most broken abilities in the series). Game Freak won't let us forget about Unown no matter how much we want to. Meanwhile, Ledyba/Ledian got nothing.
That's a popular one and I agree with it. For me, Hitmontop is up there for me as well.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 At least Hitmontop was on a major trainer's team (Bruno). I may be wrong, but I don't remember Ledian being on any teams at all (not even generic trainers).
It has 35 attack, of course no one wants to use it lol.
First Crystal run I've seen from you. And agreed, Granbull's pretty neglected. I'm guilty of that myself. To be fair, wasn't too interested in Snubbull either, but I kinda like Granbull's design now that I'm really giving it a shot. And yeah, the overlay for held items is a nice touch!
Agreed on Hitmontop, too. My poor childhood Tyrogue. ;-;
Nice. Hope you liked it! Part of what makes these fun to play is you can to utilize something new and see what makes it tick. It's interesting to experience something like Granbull I've only used in PoGo PvP.
Love the content as always! STAB Return with 120 base attack is a wrecking ball, so satisfying.
Sneasel was always my favorite under-loved gen 2 mon. The devs must not have loved him much either, with his stats/moves combination 😂
At the time, I'd agree but since Sneasle got an evolution in Gen 4 and got a whole new regional variant with a new evolution in Legends Archeus, I'd say it's not too forgotten.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 Plus Weavile is almost always competitive, although now that the literal saber tooth cat is out and is literally weavile, but better, idk.
This was a good run. I don't have a forgotten pokemon from gen 2, I never delved too deep.
Fair enough!
You're not the only one finding the cyanwood guy strange. Over on Squidgey's channel it is kind of a meme of accusing Jasmine to actually send us buying steroids for her Steelix instead of medicine for Amphi xD
More like some weed, lol.
I’ve played countless hours of every pokemon game since they’ve released and the first time I ever used Granbull was my first play through of pokemon moon and I was pissed I never used it before
You picked a good time. Post physical/special split helped it a ton and it's got a new typing lol.
I’m surprised we didn’t get to see Granbull’s signature bulldog move, but I guess it would be too overpowered brother!
Gamefreak must have forgotten to put that in.
For most forgotten, I think it may well be Skarmory as I can't really think of it being used majorly outside of gen 3. Or Raikou, since Suicune and Entei have the movies and Suicune has Crystal and Walking Wake.
I hear that a lot about Skarmory but Raiku is the speedrunning choice in the speedrun so I've seen it a good bit, especially when I'm researching the fastest route through the game. The others got superficial things but the thunder kitty being the go-to choice for the world record run means more to me!
Well done BROTHER. Another show of power by a good doggo. Great work on the layout. It’s looking real nice and full of info I like :).
Appreciate that. Trying to keep the style of my really old videos but make it clean. You don't want it too cluttered. I was talking with someone and joking how there's some channels that look like you are about to play Flight Simulator when you try to watch their videos lmao. There's a few things I'd like to add and it wouldn't be an issue but I think there's a limit to how cluttered I'd want it.
Like moving the learnset when I get into a battle to show the Pokemon I'm going against along with their moves and stuff seems like a solid Idea on paper but then it's like...when is it too far?
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 you can't please everyone. Continue innovating your layout, the haters will always hate.
Right now, I just want to use my tools to make as many videos as possible before my busy time gets here. Views are a little lower than normal and it's discouraging but I'll push on and let what happens, happen!
Another great video. Really enjoyed the Dragonite bit in the hideout.
Always excited when a new video comes out. 👍
Appreciate that, brother. Hoping the views pick up!
Snubbull's species classification was Fairy, and it's not just a pink dog but a pink dog with a frilly collar and a skirt-like skin flap hanging around its underside. It might have some relation to the Gaelic fey Cu Sidhe, but that'd be a huge stretch (that dog is supposed to be dark green, have a forked tail somewhat like Espeon, and generally isn't a bulldog).
What got _cheated_ out of a fairy typing was the vanilla Vulpix/Ninetales, who are stuck as pure Fire type despite their lore and inspiration...and the Alola variant being Ice/Fairy. They should have _either_ been Fire/Fairy or Ninetales should have been Fire/Ghost!
True. Someone brought it to my attention after the fact and it is indeed classified as the fairy Pokemon. I'm glad they didn't retroactively change any Pokemon's types. I get changing them for variants but Fire/Ghost would just be similar to the original to set itself apart. I like the Alolan Vulpix line a lot and I'm excited to do a video on it, on a side note. Outside of steel/fairy being added to a handful of Pokemon, I think the smart play was to keep their original designs as is.
I used to see Granbull as a worse Ursaring (when it was still a Normal Type), as its stats are worse in pretty much every way but it has its advantages, it can learn some moves that Ursaring can't such as Sludge bomb and Shadow ball (Good moves for it before the physical special split) and has intimidate as a nice ability
Shadow Ball is helpful in some situations but it's mainly a nuke spamming return but the fast leveling group is what puts it where it is for me.
I love Normal type runs! (When it used to be Normal 😂)
Me too. They can a bit risk/reward but good routing can overcome the fighting challenges.
"Good for you, you're not annoying at all."😂😂
Lmao, everyone loves know it alls!
😂Kert the ball expert, lol my stomach hurt🤣
Lmao!
I am pleased to say that for the very first time, I actually had a sodie pop to enjoy while watching the video.
Now that's what I like to hear.
Bruther I love your southern accent you pronouncing "Ice" the way you do reminds me the way my dad pronounces oil and roof "ool" and "ruf" it brings me joy because it reminds me of my family
Thanks! Yea, I'm a little more articulate and try to enunciate the best I can but it is what it is lol.
@Gym Leader Matt Same I got a bit of an accent myself but my "southern drawl" as it were really only comes out if I am surrounded by family or, if I am trying to pronounce any words that start with W
most forgotten gen 2 pokemon....probably something like lanturn? sunkern/sunflora were rightfully mostly forgotten aside from sunkern's infamy of being either one of or the most weak pokemon in the entire series, but gen 9 and the sunflora gym thing brought them both back to more recognition. Qwilfish is another formerly forgotten gen 2 pokemon, but the evolution it got in legends arceus brought it somewhat back to the spotlight. Octillery/remoraid is another often forgotten pokemon even with that weird electric gym leader that had one on his team in gen 4. It isn't helped by being stupidly hard to find and catch, with it only showing up in like 1 or 2 places that are late game or out of the way and easily missable. Tyrogue is another forgotten gen 2 pokemon-only available at random from the odd egg, but being a random chance along with all the other baby pokemon, and otherwise only from late game backtracking to an optional area I think lots of people don't even realize exists
special note for skarmory-I've seen several people think it's a gen 3 pokemon rather than gen 2, since it's really hard to get in gen 2 (or at least not obvious to get or find)
'hitmontop is worst gen 2 pokemon'-I disagree, that dishonor goes to tyrogue, delibird, or unown
That's a good list. Someone mentioned Noctowl but for the last year it and Lanturn have been top meta in the Great League so I see it all the time. I think Delibird is a little gimmicky and Unown isn't meant to battle. For an 'evolved' Pokemon and just a new decent stat fighter, Hitmontop will be a god awful run against it's peers. It's absolutely pathetic lol.
Gen 2: the era of Nepotism! Falker's dad's pokemon. Janinr inheriting Koga's Gym. And so on etc
Story isn't Pokemon's thing but I wish they delved into a little more. People shit on Janine being weak but it makes sense to me and Claire being a brat and essentially just being associated with Lance is why she is where she is as well.
14:18
Also important to note that starting with gen 2, entering a pokemon center sets teleport, even if you exit immediately.
In Gen 1, you have to heal at the counter for it to count as last used.
That’s good to know! Might save me some time in the future.
120 attack on a normal type?! This is not a pupper, this is an Entelodont!
Lmao, such an obscure animal reference. I dig it! It hits hard!
I really like seeing optimisations like avoiding the Centre, so this was a good one to me.
Surprised something like Hidden Power Ground or maybe Flying wasn't useful given Granbull's stats and movepool, but I'm sure you considered that.
The drawback to a physical hidden power is that it's so counterintuitive. You have to lower your attack and while it is a small difference, it didn't make up for anything. Granbull just didn't really struggle and with the fast leveling group, every problem could be solved with brute force so this is a rare one where it didn't help a ton!
I remember being mindblown when my cousin told me about the shortcut in Morty's gym
It's always cool to learn some new things for sure.
During the E4, you brought attention to Forretress, and what's super interesting to me is that Forretress was pretty good in competitive up until around Gen 6! I think that speaks to the power of entry hazards, hazard removal, and the Steel type. For an in-game Gen 2 run though, I can't imagine it'd be especially fun because of its low Speed, and you don't even have Gyro Ball to give you the damage to take advantage of your low Speed.
EDIT: Not to mention lack of Steel STAB other than Hidden Power, and its best Bug STAB being Pin Missile.
Yea, I meant interesting as in how bad can it actually be, lmao. I decided to go with Steelix first and we'll come back to that musing later in life.
"No social awareness and pushing up their glasses" 😂
They think they're some kinda anime protag or sumn
They always do! Know-it-alls are the worst lol.
@Gym Leader Matt especially when those "Well, ackchyually" mf's don't add anything constructive with their input
Ha, don't get me started. I'm all for learning things and seeing things from another perspective but some people are just grating.
I always had a soft spot for this line, the almost ugle characters are usually dope
He just a puppy.
I always thought the guy that gave you Shuckle was suspicious because he never described who the guy was trying to take it. Also I’m curious what his other Pokémon was.
That is a little weird, but not sunglasses on in the daytime weird, haha.
I really enjoyed watching all that damage you were putting out with that Aiss Punch 😂
Thanks, brother. Lmao.
First time watching this channel, love the content, love the southern accent, I bet you got jrose quaking in his boots ❤
Ha, cool to even be mentioned in the same sentence. I'm just trying to carve out my own slice but I really do appreciate it!
I love the held item sprite update too! Super fun run.
Appreciate that. Held items updating like the stats is one of my favorite innovations.
Love that you play as Kris!
Kris never gets any love! When I started practicing at the end of last year and got flooded with the memories you could pick a gender, I was like 'I have to pick the girl in some videos'.
To answer your question at the beginning, there's these little psychic fellas that are literally unknown, so probably them
I can't go a year without hearing about Unown in some shape or form. They've had movies, other media, and events in other games outside of gen 2.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 yeah, not the best actual answer but good for a goofy one
Southern accent Ice sounds more like "eyes" than "ass" to me no question
I can see that one!
The most forgotten Gen 2 Pokemon is octillery
Yea, it doesn't see much but it is in the last gym of Gen 4 and has a cool little niche with it's abilities.
Joining in late but happy, great video brother!!!
Appreciate that, brother.
Aipom, corsola, gligar, and the "ursa" line come to mind when thinking about forgotten or less thought about mons. Mostly anything not a graveler south of blackthorn.
Ha, you named all Pokemon that have gotten evolutions or new regional variants in later gens!
i love your voice lol, granbull has always been one of my favs ever since i saw it in gen 2 ❤️
Thanks! I really appreciate that!
I would say the most forgotten Pokémon from gen II is either stantler, or misdreavus, heavily leaning towards the former.
I'd go with Ledian or something like Tyrouge. Stantler got an evolution just last year and Misdreavus got an evolution in generation 4.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 I am not really up to gen 9, or 8 for that matter. Last gen I played was gen 7, ultra moon. So I had no idea stantler had an evolution.
Yea! Same with Qwilfish. It has a regional form and a new evolution.
Granbull is a fairy, but Celebi is definitely not.
Gamefreak logic.
To be fair, if you look at Granbull's pokedex it's always been called the 'fairy pokemon'.
The pink bow was perfect on Dawg
Looking like a puppy with it on for sure.
I love the whole Snuble line, but I wish they didn't make it a normal fairy type, I think normal dark would of been better cause dark fairies are a thing in mythology. Or just keep it a solid normal type
Ps: just got to you hitting Cianwood.
And the secret potion guy I always thought he was just a drug dealer.... He's got potions, and herbs.
Upon release, it would appear that it is literally classified as the 'Fairy' Pokemon in the pokedex and always has been. Yea, potion guy is a menace for sure.
Oh I know but I was saying since it's the only "fairy Pokemon in Gen 2 two learn a dark type move make it a normal dark type. Plus the fairy entry never really sat with me. But call Officer Jenny to Cianwood there's a drug dealer in the loose
I guess they were already too deep in to make the swap!
Dunsparce has to be the most forgotten Pokemon from any gen
The one that got a new evolution a few months ago?
Thanks for making these they are always fun. I really like the switch into gen 2.
Appreciate the support! I've been working to be as good as these games as I am at gen 1.
This one was interesting. Literally knew nothing about this guy. Loving the Crystal content though.
Thanks! Maybe you learned a thing to two!
Ice and Ass...🤔 clearly, the same word!! 😎
Not gonna lie, I've been waiting for this one.
As far as missed pokemon I think Ledian because it's a bug flying type and Porygon 2 because you have to trade it.
Ha, the one person in the world waiting for a Granbull run. Ledian is a great choice and probably my 1 or 2. I think Hitmontop is way up there as well.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 well it's the polar opposite of of the teddiursa and Ursaring. It just sucks that the move pool is dookie
@@banzan0 I thought it was a great moveset. Elemental punches, Shadowball, 120 base attack for Return. It ate this game up.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 I mean out of what it had via level up. Thing had a huge mouth and couldn't learn crunch? You'd figure that'd be one of them
Yo GLM (I changed my name btw been watching for a bit) im wondering what made u want to make Pokemon vids.... Great video as always
I saw Jrose do it during the pandemic and I was like 'that looks fun'.
You were talking about how underrated Houndoom was, and I have to agree.
I look forward to a Houndoom solo one of these days. It's not gonna be a great run though. What a shame. Why did it _have_ to be in the Slow leveling group? ...
I'm really not sure why. It's like Tentacool/cruel as well. I'm guessing for balance issues but it's not like you can just start the game and get one but it is what it is lol.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 Yeah. We have seen otherwise-amazing pokemon be held back by its slow leveling group, and I'm assuming Houndoom will not be any different, even with its great Special Attack and amazing STAB coverage for said stat. Man, what i'd give for a Medium-Slow Houndoom, lol...
I think they learned their lesson with gen 1 Alakazam lol.
Jasmine is getting black market Zoloft because she suffers from depression, once she gets it she’s now ready to battle. My headcannon at least
Lmao, interesting. Adult themes!
Chuck's stone brother ! lmao
Close enough!
Wow less than 1 hour and 30 mins! O: I wasn't expecting that at all wow!
Yea, it was a pretty beastly Pokemon.
I think slugma is one of the most forgotten gen 2 pokemon
It's featured in some other games but you don't really hear about it much for sure.
I think it’s Mantine for most forgotten in generation II, it doesn’t make a lot of appearances the series or the games. And I legit thought it was water/dragon for the longest time
That is a good one too but it did get a baby version and I've played a ton of PoGo PvP and it's bulky and solid there so I guess it's fresh on the mind but it hasn't had too much. Ledian seems to be the by far favorite comment so far.
Ledian is another great choice, totally see that as well
Ledian is the most forgotten coz it hasnt been changed like at all. Ariados is there but probably less as it was a fan design😊
Ariados also got a base stat buff and a signature move in gen 7!
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 being a fan design helps i guess
I think the old Spinarak was a fan design from a contest is fake. It was one of those 'Mew is under a truck' type things.
I don’t know if it’s the most forgotten, but Noctowl definitely seems like it’s the most overlooked Flying type IMO. I love it, but I never see anyone use it, and it’s usually always talked about as being “meh”. Which is a shame to me, as it was one of my favorite Gen 2 Pokémon (plus it’s an owl, which are some of the best IRL birds)
I guess I play a lot of Pokemon Go and it's battle league and a couple of seasons ago they buffed wing attack and Lanturn/Noctowl cores are the meta of the great league so I didn't think of it. I really like Noctowl too!
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 nice, I didn’t know they buffed it there. I haven’t done the Pokémon Go scene, so I wasn’t aware it got put in the meta. Way to go Noctowl. Shiny Noctowl had one of the best original sprites to me too
The beta sprite? Yea I love that one a lot.
Most forgotten Gen II pokemon? The first one that pops into my head is Gligar, it's design is very similar to Crobat's.
It got a new evolution in gen 4!
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 I'll admit, past Gen 3 my Pokemon knowledge is pretty non-existent. 😅
I wouldn't know what the most forgotten pokemon in gen 2 is.,, I forgot what it was
Great. Nice input lol.
Most forgotten gen 2 mon ? Can't remember.
Ledian, probably.
That’s a good choice!
Respekt the pokeball pokemon that gets juggled hard btw!!! Love 2nd Gen so much
Yea, it's pretty fun. Irwin is a champion in my eyes.
As dumb as it is, they changed Granbull to a Fairy type is because it is known as the Fairy Pokemon. Also, Chuck, Brother
I double checked you are indeed correct!
Sentret line probably most forgotten
I guess it all comes down to personal preference but I got a shiny Furret and I like it a lot. I’d probably say Hitmontop is up there. There’s a solid 10 choices.
i didn't forget to comment, i am just watching youtube slower. Also i always thought of qwilfish as the most forgettable pokemon until legends, now im not sure.
All good brother. Videos are here forever!
I forgot what it was but it's definitely the most forgotten... So I'm not very helpful but it certainly is forgettable
Ha, appreciate the input.
I reckon this son of a Granbull will actually do darn well. It's Attack is insane. Just a shame its so slow.
Fast leveling group kind of offsets that so it is interesting.
Great run!
Thanks! Appreciate that.
Love me some granbull I hope he learns tombstoner
Yea, no tombstoner in gen 2. It was heavily nerfed.
Shuckle might be the most forgotten outside real Pokefans. It's not weird like Dunsparce and Sudowoodo or cute like Hoppip or Ledyba. Even Stantler gets more attention, I'd say. Qwilfish and Remoraid might be tied for second.
Ledian is my choice. As for some of those, Dunsparce was mentioned all the time and that was before it got a new evolution. Qwilfish also got a regional variant and new evolution as well as Stantler so I can't say those are too forgotten considering it's been like a year since Gamefreak itself showed them some love.
I'd throw in ariados too give both ledian n ariados stat buffs please or better yet AN EVOLUTION
Ariados got a signature move and a little buff in gen 7!
Gran-bull BROTHER
Too bad it took until gen 7 n Pokémon reborn hack to truly showcase the GRAN-BULL
I can confidently say I know nothing about that lol.
@Gym Leader Matt I think you would love reborn
Imagine adult real world concepts that aren't at all excessive
Has 16 badges 24 different starters n the fairy gym highlights the GRAN-BULL BROTHER with intimidate as the 14th badge
Unique Pokémon concepts that are very realistic and not fake whatsoever
It's very difficult like if you want the challenge you'll love it
It reinvigorated my passion for Pokémon a few years ago and some Pokémon like granbull krokodile n eevee unevolved are really strong like its balanced well too just a big difficulty spikes for you
When I saw granbull I immediately thought of reborn
Sounds interesting! If I'm ever looking for something to play, I'll look into it.
Buddy, I don't even remember when I unsubbed. I've watched all your videos brother!❤
Appreciate the continued support!
Honestly I think a lot of people forget about Stantler. Single evolution and a boring type.
I think Wyrdeer puts that one out of the conversation. The game only came out last year!
Stantler for me, I mean that weird looking Koala Moose which sort of looks psychic but isn't.
It got a psychic evolution last year!
At least one of them that is probably forgotten is Sunflora. Sunkern does have a pretty cute design while Sunflora just feels like a standard flower Pokémon. Sunflora’s also definitely the worst Gen 2 Grass Pokémon.
Sunflora is up there for sure. Ledian and Hitmontop are up ther efor me. Sunkern isn't for me because it had the lowest base stat total forever and people meme it all the time.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 I think both Ledyba and Ledian would be the Top 2. I can maybe understand Hitmontop, for the Gen 2 games since it’s only notable inclusion was being Bruno’s mon. I do think Hitmontop got better in following generations that made it notable with it getting Intimidate in Gen 3, Technician in Gen 4, and also being pretty good competitively in Gen 4 and 5 VGC.
Granted, I'm not big on all the updates or competitive but Ledian got Iron Fist! I'm sure there's one or two Pokemon I'm forgetting because of how forgettable they are but Ledian is a solid choice.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987Yeah it amazes me that they gave Ledian Iron Fist with only 35 Attack lol
Could be worse! Lmao.
I always forget about the Granbull brother. So it’s def top 5. I forgot about Noctowl for a while as well but not HootHoot
Ledian has to be the top for me.
I'd say that Unown has been pretty forgotten with all the different shapes it could have.
Your "ice" sounds more like "ayes".
You talk how you talk! At this point, there's nothing I can do but I'd argue that Gamefreak will not let you forget about Unown. I'm personally reminded of them several times a year it feels like.
Scizor. When’s the last time you’ve encountered a Scizor i battle? I don’t think a single trainer has one but it was one of the coolest Gen 2 Pokémon
Scizor, one of the most popular Pokemon that dominated VGC for the longest time? Hell, my most popular video is Scizor lol.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 Ohhhhhhh. Hmmmmm I’ll keep thinking then
Ledian is the clear winner in the comments. I think Hitmontop or Tyrouge are up there too!
most shady char in generaion 2 is the pharmacist.
More like harmacist.
Power Doggo!
Biting the competition!
ice
icy
eye-hiss
eye-see
Rocket Dog 😂😂😂
Red rocket!
Such a good toothy boy. I don't see this being especially fast but I'm happy it's happening nonetheless.
You are in for a surprise!
Honestly I'd say mantine not even sure what generation it's from.
Gen 2! I play GBL in PoGo a good bit and it's been relevant a time or two but I can see it being forgotten.
I think as of now, probably Ledyba/Ledian. I was gonna say Donphan and Phanpy, but Scarlet and Violet changed that with Paradox Mons.
Very true. Ledian is a strong contender but Hitmontop might take it for me. It's so bad and hasn't gotten any help since gen 2 lmao.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 Very true. But I feel Ledian is forgotten both competitively and casually.
Iron Fists with 35 base attack. It's almost a joke.
I'm thinking Smoochum
Actually a pretty good one! Ledian and Tyrouge are up there for me.
Granbull is honestly not awful. I like the silly pink bulldog. His shiny is so bad though considering their lil shiny clown pup
Yea the shiny is one of the worst but this run was really good.
The sunkern/sunflora line are pretty forgotten!
I'd agree with Sunflora but Sunkern had a niche by being the weakest Pokemon until gen 7 and it was memed to death. Hell, if you wanted views just make a video with Sunkern and exaggerate the challenge.
@Gym Leader Matt challenge accepted when I get my laptop fixed! I haven't streamed in months since I streamed my live stand up set haha
It has growth and some status moves. It's a little overrated for being bad. I'd say Pichu or Tyroge is where it's at for awful runs but if you want some wisdom, don't do something unfun that sucks the life out of you. It's just a hobby, have fun, and don't chase imaginary internet views.
@Gym Leader Matt 100% I recently quit my job to go to school for a more rewarding career! If I'm being honest I would be hacking rare candies to save grinds....although I love EV training. Seeing a stat jump by 20pts is always amusing haha
Best of luck! I'm getting another degree starting in August but there's no way I can quit my job. I don't want to stop making videos either but if something has to go, it's the middling RUclips career, haha.
maybe sunflora as the most forgotten gen 2 mon of all time, its tough to say. i personally always forget Skarmory was gen 2 and not gen 3
Great choice. Octillery or Hitmontop get my vote!
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 Granbull smashed the game with that fast lvl up group and powerful stab return
Imagine if GB got SD? That would be abuse of the enemy Pokiman! 😂
Man, with 120 base attack, the fact you overlevel easy in gen 2 anyway, and the fast leveling group I'm not sure it would even help that much. There's a few battles including Red but it was almost one shotting most things anyway.
Ledian is so forgotten they got its stats wrong and never fixed them.
Glad to see Granbull do well. Thought it would be pretty mid except the fast leveling helps it a ton! Another thought, everyone plays the game so fast. I need to get faster…
Ledian has been an overwhelming favorite in the comments and after thinking about it I tend to agree. I think Tyrouge is up there too. It’s a little boy with pants and they want to lock it away to never be spoke of again lmao.
Honestly, a game with a bad leveling curve and the fast leveling group was broken. It almost completely offset its low speed. I’m sure the usual curse strat would make this thing a monster too but return was truly all that was necessary.
Hey, brother, you can only compare your runs to your own. I emphasize all the time that I’m only racing myself and I have my own rules and tweaks that make it different than this or that person but if you ever want to theorycraft the hypothetical time saves, I’m always down.
@@GymLeaderMatt1987 Tyrogue is quite forgotten as well. In fact, the whole baby concept is weird and hasn't really been touched on since Generation 4. There are some asterisks with that claim, but it looks like they gave up
Yea I can't really remember much outside of some new gen 4 babies. I like the collection aspect but jesus they are a chore to do in a solo run.
They are about the most pointless things in existence for actual usage. Most of the effort that went into designing the baby mons would've been better off as new evos, but I'm betting Mantyke sold more in merchandise than Yanmega lmao
I've heard of like one person that said they liked Yanma period. I bet they were real excited for the evolution lol.
Stantler is pretty forgotten, BROTHER
It got an evo in Legends Archeus!
Haha dude I remember when you used to post fallout shelter vids im glad your back
I've been back for years lmao.
