@@OswaldAurelia Me too. Tyranitar is my favorite ace, and Sacronian Tyranitar (Rock/Steel - Rock/Dragon upon Mega) is the ace of all my versions ("game"/"anime"/"manga") of my Pokemon OC. And also the ONLY Pokemon he is confirmed to have in all three versions. _I know that you don't care, but I love to throw some useless trivia_
Surprisingly, Wobuffet's ability makes it so good that it is banned from the main singles competitive format, and was the first non legen to be banned.
I'm pretty sure Karen having a Vileplume is a cornerstone of her character, though. She even says the whole "people should try to win with their favorites" thing, and I think Vileplume being so different from all her other Pokemon implies that it's HER favorite or at least one that she's very fond of. Why would they randomly give her a grass/poison type that doesn't even look intimidating, and then have her feel so strongly about what she says, after all?
Did you know every member of the elite 4 in gen 1 has 2 types they specialize in? Lorelei is ice and psychic, Bruno is rock and fighting, Agatha is ghost and poison and Lance is dragon and flying. That explains the sliwbro in Lorelei's team or the onyxes in Bruno's team.
Where is that actually stated? Never seen that stated. Also don't think that really makes sense since Rock is already covered by Brock. But I'll take it if proven wrong.
@@TheMS991 it never was, some people just don't realize that most types in gen 1 simply don't have enough mons to fill a complete or near-complete team of a single type
@@FormOfKorn Still not as bad as Hoenn's E4. Now, that is just abyssmal. Who makes an E4 where one trainer has only 3 different pokemon and another has unevolved mons. It's gen 3, how can you not add Gengar, Misdreavus and 3 other ice types?
@@TheMS991he reason they weren’t added were due to those not being available in Ruby and Sapphire, with the ones they used being the only options for Ice and Ghost types in the Hoenn region. Having the Elite 4 use Pokémon that the player would not have access to without trading from another game would be very unfair.
@@wesleyoldham4222 yeah, is it safeguard or destiny thats the 3rd. Technically its all, whether you think he will status you, kill you, Damage you, or damage you with special ato

Team galactic really should use psychic, rock and steel types. In keeping with the whole space vibe with mons like solrock, starmie claydol metang and other space-themed creatures
Champions are notoriously not monotype. I think taking Forretress away is a big blow to Koga’s “ninja master” preparedness and versatility. Good psychic wall and overall coverage. Much more of a champion’s choice. Ditch Weezing for Qwilfish to cover ground weakness. If anything, replace Muk for Weezing to add Levitate outside OG Gen 2. Plus adds an explosion option for frail psychic types Edit: lots of differing opinions within this video, but I like that you put out good content (that’s true to yourself) about all of our favorite concerns!
For anyone who doesn’t like Karen having 2 Tyrantiars, she could have a semi-Type-diverse team, like Alder in BW. (For instance, she could go Umbreon, Houndoom, Tyranitar, and 3 Pokémon of other Types) Or she could have a completely Type-diverse team like Blue, Diantha, Hau, etc. She is a firm believer of the “use any Pokémon you like” mindset, after all.
Why not both? Maybe her original team could have two Tyranitars Lance-style and then in the rematch she uses a more balanced team like the one you suggested Also, I think that might actually make her a more memorable Champion than Lance Her "there's no weak pokemon, pick your favorites" is already pretty famous as it is, so if she was a strong Champion like Cynthia back in gen 2 that would solify her as one of pokemon's most popular characters as well as making her motto even more famous
@@ale-xsantos1078 You’re right! What other already-existing Champions in the main series have Type-Unified teams in their first match, and Type-Diverse teams in rematches?
I think that's too easy. Many rivals have a 'final battle' team that they use either just before the Pokemon League or in a postgame fight, so there's really no changes necessary to their teams if they were to become Champion.
@@amberknight7301 Well, what if we do it like this : "If every rival became champion, but got a team reflecting their personnality/personnality evolution (if they got one)" ? With that, a lot of those rivals could get a really different team from the "before League" or "Postgame" team

@@saulgoodman110 because Skarmory has high physical defense, making all physical Fire Types difficult to use on it. Plus with it having the option for the ability sturdy, means it can live a hit and retaliate with a powerful attack, or a hazard like stealth rocks/spikes/toxic spikes

Next up "champion professor teams", since oak was once gonna be a post champ trainer. Note, i think giving the profs all three starters of that region is a cop-out, you can be more creative than that. Consider their personality, the anime, and just their vibe in general. Would some specialize in a type? Or are they freestyle?
Honestly have slight disagreement on the Acerola team, I agree on adding Mimikyu, but I think keeping Banette keeps to her having a slight abandoned toy theme to her line up which fits with the orphanage part of her character.
Mikey: we need Drake to have a dragon type mega evolved Pokémon so that’s why I choose septile Mega altaria ( who might I add would have coverage being a fairy type when it mega evolves): oh okay
For the first, just reduce their levels by 5-10, and take away one or two Mons. For the second, reduce their teams to one or two First Evolution regional Mons along with their Signature Mons' initial stage.
In retrospec, should have given sand cloak wormadam to aaron for some fire counters haha (i think it has access to stone edge/rock slide too for flying coverage)
Ever since I learned that Drasna doesn't appear in the anime, I've been rather upset about it. THE WOMAN IS FROM CELESTIC TOWN IN SINNOH. That has plenty of story potential

Gengar held Misdreavous at gunpoint and told her to not steal his spotlight. XD
Cintrón Productions lmao that makes sense 😂
I hated how gens 1&2 made “ghost” trainers it made no sense when there was only gengar and misdreavus! Morty should have had a gengar, misdreavus & ninetales (has spiritual powers and its fire type matches the whole candle/flame theme in the gym)
@@domenicavallone28 to be fair gen 1 &2 were pretty bad with enemy teams in general. There were many cases of re-uses and half the trainer's team not being the type he specializes in.
Maybe because Misdreavus (in the originals) is only available in Mt. Silver. It's available elsewhere in the remakes, so he should have one in those.
Lmao, poor Quilfish. Every time I see it, I remember that I almost forgot it existed hahah

Would some specialize in a type? Or are they freestyle?
“Gen 7 has entered the chat”
I like this idea!
Drapion also was a bug type before evolving so it makes sense.
Honestly have slight disagreement on the Acerola team, I agree on adding Mimikyu, but I think keeping Banette keeps to her having a slight abandoned toy theme to her line up which fits with the orphanage part of her character.
