Sure thing! I’ve already started to use this for my outside walking intros. The tracking is very nice and the f/2.0 lens along with the fast focusing is really great!
Yep, all that has been tried and no luck. Still need to either...a) just wait longer (sometimes works), b) double tap the screen on my face, or c) flip the camera. All the settings you mentioned have been checked on and I've tried all the combos to see if I can get it to work.
Nice breakdown! For what it is, (not an action cam) $520 is a steal. I ordered one of these to basically replace my cellphone for when I don't want to use my mirrorless. In that regard there's literally nothing else on the market this small, with a gimbal, a 1 inch sensor and active track. Action cameras are for action things. This is for vlogging and filming and it's going to do it with much more sophistication than a cell phone or a gopro.
it's not an action camera. at 6:40 you say this is “for people looking for action cameras...” and talk about the sweet spot in pricing. this is a vlogging camera first and foremost and also, I'd say it's a camera for solo travellers as well, having the excellent tracking features so you don't need a "camera man.” Not only that... the picture quality is far better than action cameras and arguably almost as good as a mirrorless camera (for vlogging) especially in low light situations. I think they did very well in placing this product in-between high-end cameras and action cameras. it can't go underwater, and it's not weatherproof so it isn't an “action camera.” per se ... of course who wouldn't want the price to drop? but we cannot expect that happen since it was only released a week ago. I doubt we'll see the price drop during black friday sales either since the demand is so high right now it's sold out almost everywhere and so are all the accessories.... with next shipments not being expected until January to mid January. Anyone who has one right now is very lucky! This is the first video camera “in the world” to have an all in-built reciever for microphone a transmitter which is in itself very impressive!... and don't forget we probably won't see a pocket 4 for another 3 years which is kind of good to know that the next latest and greatest isn't 12 months away so your investment won't become obsolete in a blink of the eye.
Question, is it possible to lock it forward without any drift left or right while walking? I do walks around dying malls etc.. and I keep having to use the joystick to fix the drift of the gimbal =( Ive used "gimbal lock" by holding button but it still drifts everywhere. I am sure it's me but couldn't find anything on it. :)
So on the Face Detect It's a lot better. As for the file sync....same issues. Need to turn off cellular to get it to work correctly. GoPro and Inst360 don't have this issue

Con #1 : look in the menus. You can start with cam forward, selfie mode (with automatic follow if you want) or the latest used.

About 8 months later… have the face detect and file sync issues been fixed yet?
