It is pretty insane how much options they have stacked into that tiny camera .. your video made me discover many new things I haven’t see on other channels .. great work thanks
This is a great video! I just received my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo Kit from Amazon today and I wanted to watch your video before unboxing. The video is very informative and I can't wait to start using my DJI Pocket 3!
just another comment for the algo: you forgot to mention that to achieve very long exposure times (1s+, up to 6s) in the timelapse/motionlapse modes you have to set exposure to auto, interval to 3s-6s, ISO to 50-100. That will make OP3 to go up to 6s in shutter speed
Upgrading from my old phone to this, could give a great opportunity to improve my vids. The video itself is extremely helpful and informative btw. Congrats
Hi Sean and the Think Media Team, I hope this message finds you well. My name is Arnav Sharma, and I’ve been a long-time admirer of Think Media’s content. Your reviews and tutorials on tech gear and video creation have been incredibly inspiring to me. I’m reaching out because I’m a freelance video editor with a focus on color grading, graphics, and making videos captivating and engaging. I use DaVinci Resolve and am passionate about bringing a fresh perspective to video editing. Although I’m relatively new to the industry, I’m dedicated to learning and growing, and I believe my enthusiasm and skills can contribute positively to your channel. I’m excited about the possibility of working with Think Media and would love to discuss how I could support your team in producing even more high-quality content. I’m keen to learn more about your current projects and explore
i got mine for everything i hate using big cameras and ive shot around the world started with the mark3 canon to the sony a7r2 but this thing is just fun and makes me excited to want to film
I have been keeping an eye on this since your original video about this camera. I am looking for one of these but also want to use for top down shots. Thank you for sharing
All around solid video. The best i have watched on the DJI Pocket 3. I got mine a month ago and i am liking it. Still learning how to optimize it for best output. Thank you so much. Are you using a cloud lifter for the SMB 7 Mic? Can the MIC connect directly to the Rode caster interface? Is the cloud lifter a Must in order to use the SMB 7. And finally, what other option will you suggest in place of the SMB7 mic you are using? Thanks in advance.
I am using the SM7DB which is the updated version with the built in pre amp! The RODECaster Pro 2 has really good pre amps though and you allegedly don’t need a cloud lifter for the original SM7B with it. I would check out the Shure MV7X which is a little more affordable and sounds great. We included it in this review video here: ruclips.net/video/Kj-KEcC69jU/видео.htmlsi=TDjjXv3vIhn_vEz3
Hi 2 questions, what was your shutter speed and 2 what if lighting isn't good, do you use a light? Thank you! I'm looking to shoot hotel rooms mostly.😊
I switched to the P3 a little while ago after previously using GoPro + Zoom H1 Essential. They were a great combo; but I do love the Osmo. The creator kit is just so handy. The only additional kit I now use are a RODE Lav 2 plugged into the remote; and occasionally a proper tripod. There are a few minor nitpicks though: You can't really combine the wide angle lens and ND filters. It''s not something you'd want to use in rain. I have done that and it didn't seem to happy about it. Luckily after ensuring it dried out thoroughly it all seemed fine again. Sometimes the Mic 2 will lose connection and just refuse to re-pair. The solution that worked for me was to link it to the 2nd Mic channel. Having said that though it really is a wonderful bit of kit.
Thank you for the video, my question is, for example, I am interviewing someone and I gave a dji mic to him. And I am speaking from a distance and in such a situation the internal system of DJI pocket 3 can also record my voice?
Yes it can so long as you have enabled the "Built in mic audio back up" setting. This will record an audio file to the SD card that you will have to then sync with your video file which only has the DJI Mic 2 audio. So you will be working with 1 additional audio track that you will have to manually sync up.
Great video, definitely answered a bunch of questions I had about it, the only thing I'm still wondering is how long will it live stream for - does it have overheating issues or can you pretty much go as long as you want?
I just ran a test for over an hour and it was totally fine. I haven't ran it longer than that at this point, but I never experienced any overheating in my 4K30fps tests when standard recording, so I would imagine it wouldn't overheat in the limited 1080P webcam mode.
great tips and tricks! 👍it's such a powerful camera. on a side note, i think there's a bug with webcam mode, mine times out after 30min or so. i searched online and found many others with the same issue. not sure if anyone has suggestions or insights?
Hi there! I just ran a test where I used the Pocket 3 as my camera in Zoom for over an hour and it worked the whole time. Here are a few things you can try: 1) Instead of flipping the camera into "Selfie" mode, use the joystick to manually turn camera to face you (as to NOT enable mirror mode that is typically on when in selfie mode). Some people believe the camera has an issue streaming when the camera auto rotates the screen for selfie orientation. Give that a try and see if it works for you! 2) Make sure you are using a high speed data transfer USB-C cable. 3) Update to the latest Pocket 3 firmware using the DJI Mimo App Let me know if this helps? - Kraig
@@ThinkMediaTV Hey Kraig, thanks for that tip! I think I normally use that Selfie mode, so I wonder if that was the issue. Next time I'll try as you suggested.
I used the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 last week to shoot a wedding and left the default settings for both the outdoor ceremony and the indoor reception an the color and quality was amazing. One question, I wanted to livestream the ceremony on RUclips using the Mimo app but couldn't figure out how to start the stream from the app. I wound up streaming the ceremony using my iPhone on a tripod and used the Osmo as a second camera for the crowd reactions and shots of the bridal party. Can someone tell me how to start the livestream using the Mimo app without having to carry around a laptop to start the stream. Thanks.
Great video! Thanks I have a strange thing going on 😮 the backup audio option is not available on my camera. According to app I have latest firmware. Any thoughts 🙄🤷♀️

But you will have to invest into a good mic anyways, people don't care about video, but they hate bad audio
