It looks superb - as does mine. I'm not sure why I'm still Bing watching reviews when I have the damn thing! I can literally just look at it and use the actual device! Your night shooting looks fantastic, but to nitpick, that technically not "low light" -low light is blue hour on the beach, or somewhere after sunset WITHOUT artificial lights everywhere. I call that night shooting, not low light. Still, it's absolutely superb!
Thank you, yes I’m the same I still watch a ton of videos on it! I just love seeing what people are capturing with it! Yes I just wanted to record in all low light situations, so csthedral was low light , actually darker than it looks on the camera, markets was a good test to see if you get noise in the dark sky patches…. But the Pocket killed it! So good in all situations!
Is it only to attach the external battery when the battery runs low or can I just attach it & use as an extended handle? If so, will we damage the battery life of the camera itself?? Another question, what mode are you using during all these shooting, is it Follow? FPV? or Tilt Locked? Thanks😅
I don't pull the body out of the case but pulling the case apart so the body pop out, an important tip to protect poket 3's screen! DJI POCKET 3 has elevated itself to such position that it beats DSLR/Mirrorless cameras in many key areas considering price point. Imagine if, the next generation of the Dji pocket 3 makes improvements in focal length ( addition of 85mm, 35mm as an attachment) backed by bigger sensor with better dynamic range, then the game is over for big camera industries like Canon, Sony, Nikon etc, as the form factor alone is so awesome & practical.
The color doesn't look natural from the DJI Pocket 3. The sky looks too blue and your skin looks too orange. I have to say that the new OSMO 4 (while shooting inside the church on your other video) simply blew me away. Sill, there is no question that as a blogger, this is the only camera you need. Okay, I just saw the video in the Church without you being in it and the quality just snaps in a good way. The low light mode nailed it. The wide angle lens is not really necessary and you are right, it distorts the edges. Still, your skin looks too orange in my opinion. (Note: my 4K monitor is calibrated). I had absolutely no intention of buying more camera gear anytime soon. I had the ZV1 and upgraded to a sony A7iv and really missed the product showcase. I have watched a few videos on this now and I'm going to have to pick up this camera from the nice folks over at WEX in Belfast
I’ve watched many, if not most of the DJI Pocket 3 reviews, this one is by far the best I’ve seen. A really nice all round product capability video and I didn’t tune out once during the entire video, well done and thank you for this sterling effort.
Because you usually only get depth of field (the blurry background) on much more expensive lenses and it’s something than smaller cameras have not really been able to achieve. So to see it on a small camera like this is pretty great, especially for production if you’re trying to match a high end camera 👍
Can you explain a little more the "pro mode" mention in the video in the corner? Is it D Log M and graded with dji lut? Did you stoped down a little the exposure? I know this camera can overexpose a little. Thank you so much.
Hey so there is 'Auto' Mode and also a swipe from the right bring ups pro mode. This enables you to choose DLOG which is a high quality picture profile and adjust all camera settings manually. It sounds complicated but its very easy to use. So this is mostly DLOG M with the official DJI Conversion LUT on it. I lowered exposure to -0.7. I might do a video on these settings as I didn't mention these too much in the main video!
On these I was just using the audio it recorded at the time… that said I might do a video showing what the difference in audio is like an how to sync it! 👍
Ok, a question: Any idea why DJI left out pause recording? Sure, we can stitch clips after the fact in post, but they had it on P1/P2. Couple bloopers I caught: You called it Action 3 early into the review, then said Sony ZV-1 had Product Showcase as you introducedthe feature. Finally, you turned off low light mode, and at 9:11 said you were using the "internal cameras" - The Osmo Pocket 3 Camera has internal cameras? Cool 😎 🆒️ lol. Would you have meant "internal mics"?
Hey Blair thanks for the comment, to be honest most cameras don’t have a pause recording feature (the new Insta does though) Well spotted on some of the bloopers however the ZV1 does have product show case I was referring to that feature, which is one I liked. Internal cameras… doh should have been internal microphones 😂😂
I agree with you, it’s just that I’m not a blogger, I like action so I go for GoPro specifically the 12 with the max lens 2.0… Great videos as always 🎉

Hi - I want to put a P3 on my small ratrig slider - shooting vertical with a product (food) tracked center frame - id also need to 2x zoom (40mm). The slides would hopefully keep the product center frame with background movement etc. Do you think the quality would be OK for social media.
Hey Josh thanks for the comment, so I didn't' use an ND filter for this video, but have got the full Freewell pack so will be filming content on that shortly. Almost the whole video was shot on D-LOGM (Auto looked great to be honest!)

Excellent review. Specially some of the bits that other reviewers forgot to mention ;)...Loved the fact that I can use it as a Webcam as well, specially when I work in the Modern Workplace field. P.S Loved the Manchester Market tour in a while as I have lived there for quite a few years and haven't been back in last 8 years :) Special thanks for that
I have watched a lot of footage of the pocket 3 by various youtubers. Honestly till now i did not like it, primarily the colors and sharpness were not to my liking. However, after watching your content, my mind changed 😊
I don't think everything needs to be slow motion. Overused in my opinion.It's got its place for dreamy sequences and for time-passing sequences, but it seems to be a 'RUclipsr' thing to do for every video. That said I'll probably do a video all about slow motion as a separate video 👍

Bokeh is overrated, not weather sealed, internal battery, overheats.. Everyone is doing walk and talk vlogs outside with this thing with 60% of the scene being blurry. Would be okay in interviews and the self tracking / product mode is kind of nice. Id honestly rather vlog with the action 4.

I think bokeh as it looks closer to how our eyes see something (focus on something in your room with your eye when it’s up close and you’ll see the rest of your vision has blur) This camera has not overheated once in 3 weeks in my test, but I’ve not recorded more than 1 hour in a single session which could be why. Yes the action 4 is also a great camera!
Hopefully they will release single unit mic2 soon, as this would make the P3 very handy for a two person interview kit, im waiting once that happens im probably buying one.

You can leave it on all the time if you'd like. Most of this is in follow but a few shots are Tilt Locked, none were FPV

Hey you can always brighten this in the edit, I turned my down a little as the exposure over exposes a little
why all the big hype about motion blur, I would rather see a picture that I can see what is happening and not a blurry scene.

Yes the Ace looks good but the pocket 3 would beat it quite easily due to the larger sensor

@@editorskeys is the zoom resolution ok for a social media reel or story. I think the res on a social media vertical is only 720 anyway
