- Conquer the Vedder is a multisport race in Chilliwack, BC. We headed out for the inaugural event in May, 2022 which featured a solo race on the Saturday and a relay on the Sunday.

The difference between those race paddle boards and the inflatables must be like a $100 Walmart MTN bike and a $15,000 road bike.
Ha, $500 vs $5000, but yeah, absolutely it is!

I confess that seeing Reed running around in his wellies behind his dad as Gary's doing the race briefing and then Artie debating on whether he's going to swim with the paddle boarders was the highlight of this film for me :-D

A great addition to your race videos. I loved the variety of terrain. I am having problems wrapping my mind around Gary Robbins doing that run so fast. What is that man training for?? I know what you're training for and I can't wait!
I was training for two races that I just ran over the last 3 weeks (Meet the Minotaur & Knee Knacker), but unfortunately I had a setback due to injury and instead of 'racing' my events I simply got through them and tried to enjoy it as much as I could. Hoping to start ramping up again through the summer now though.
Finally catching up on your videos; excellent as always. My how things change: I remember when Cultus Lake was used by the Combat Engineers for pontoon bridging and pontoon ferry training.

I can't believe I didn't catch that in the video. haha I never did claim to be the brightest.
Are competitors grouped by type of board and bicycle? It seems unfair to race against those streamlined boards, practically canoes. Road/gravel vs MTB also seems unfair.
No, just general categories. Some of us were definitely at a disadvantage 😂
