My mom was 46 when she had me. She had 3 babies, each of us 12yrs apart. I was completely unplanned! The doctors suggested she abort the pregnancy due to the potential for genetic abnormalities. My parents refused. After she passed away a few years ago, my dad told me that she never had a period again after she had me. I was literally her last cycle of eggs.
It's possible ..my wife and I got married and within 11 months she conceived at age 45 and we had our healthy baby daughter next year whn she was 46. She even did all household work, climbed mountain travelled to the other part of the world alone with baby and came back alone at 8 months all healthy fit and had easy childbirth...so if you hv regular periods it's possible.
Ok I was a long distance runner and did not menstrate untill.35. I thought I ruined my fertility!! Well imagine my surprise when I was 48 and found myself 6 months pregnant!!! Easy easy and healthy pregnancy!!! ( this is all natural.. No ivf) and guess what I had two more babies naturally and they were easy and healthy pregnancies!! I'm 55 now.instead of worrying about menopause I'm worrying about getting pregnant again!! I wonder if I unintentionally froze my eggs when my body fat was so low and menstration stopped!! I feel I did that!!
My grandma also had a surprise pregnancy in her mid 40's in the 1950's. She had 5 other kids already and thought she was done. She had most of her kids in the 1930's. Even back then they were telling women it wasn't possible at that age.

I’m 40.5. My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for the last 6 months. I had my fertility evaluated and a polyp was found in my uterus. Had it removed in January and boom, conceived in the next ovulation cycle. I was about to start an IVF journey after the polyp removal, but now I don’t have to. I’m kind of conflicted about the timing because I’ll be almost 42 when I’d be ready to go through IVF for another baby and my eggs would be even older. But I’m so happy I was able to conceive naturally and pray that everything goes well through the first trimester (and beyond of course).
I just found out I have at least three fibroids, and I want a baby so badly. Was it difficult to get it removed? Was it large can I ask? Thank you so much for sharing your story with us❤️❤️
The polyp removal was really quick and simple. I was heavily sedated so I didn’t have to be awake for it. It’s like they went in with a “drill bit” and drilled out and extracted the polyp piece by piece like they were drilling for oil. 😄 I don’t think it was very big, but it was sitting right where the fallopian tube meets the uterus. Quite the obstruction! It turned out to be benign, but it may have prevented an embryo from implanting properly or getting past the first trimester. So removing any polyps sounds like a must. I hope yours are benign and are easy to remove. Good luck in your baby journey!

But my Dr doesn't want me to have them removed and he said I have multiple in my uterus, and actually they're so bad that I haven't been able to sit down in 15 months because the pain is off the charts. My OB said it was a nerve issue, and never told me they've been there the whole time😭😭 so it's been such a long journey but I've asked the Lord to heal me and I just found out I had these last Thursday, so I'm praying this is the first step to getting better, and actually being able to sit down!!!🤣😂🙏❤️☺️ I have to laugh about it because if not I'll cry😂😂 thank you so much for your time and beautiful story and enjoy your precious little one❤️❤️🙏🙏
Well, I ended up miscarrying at 9 weeks. I’ll be doing IVF as soon as possible, hopefully in the next 2 months. I’m heartbroken at the loss of what could have been, but this was a very real possibility with natural conception at this age. I don’t want to try to conceive naturally anymore. IVF only from here on out

If only I would have researched this topic sooner 😢. About to turn 40, never been pregnant, two failed IVF transfers. Dr Lora, your videos have taught me so much. I cannot thank you enough for all you do for this community in order to educate us about this crucial topic that is human fertility. The doctors one see at appointments don't take the time to explain almost anything, and it is so frustrating. I still have one frozen embryo, and I really hope this will be the one 🙏

I so appreciate her real talk and optimism even knowing how hard it is. Since trying for my second, i have had 4 pregnancy losses. I just did my first round of IVF and have one healthy genetically normal embryo. I really hope this works, I talk to my doctor today for FET information.

If you stop actively trying & try your best to pretend that you're both just horny teenagers again, maybe that less stress of "actively trying" SO hard might help? Instead, set up set up romantic date nights, you don't wear any undies but ONLY tell him when he's about to ask for the check after dinner. _Than,_ you'se can fool around in the car right afterwards. Try to keep it together when you're driving though, for safety reasons! OR secretly get a hotel room. Buy yourself a really long wig, that's a color that you'd never dye your actual hair, off Amazon or something. Next pull out a _really_ sexy dress & lingerie set for under it. Next drop him a text at his lunch hour. Tell him something came up & to meet you at ____ hotel room & the number. Pre-pack for this event a picnic lunch sandwiches, fruits & veggies for afterwards with, lots of wine or beer. Be waiting in that room for him with the lights really low, dressed like a stranger, your make up all prefect & ready to get messed up. But oh no... you've got nowhere to go except... to bed! Turn on your favourite music & have _thee most fun_ with "not trying" anymore. You're BOTH worth it. 💕💕

I’m 42 and after 1 miscarriage and 2 failed IVFs I finally got pregnant! We tried for 6 years! I had PCOS. What was different about the 3rd and successful IVF? I did this thing called hyperbaric oxygen therapy for 10 days right before embryo transfer. It finally implanted!

I'm 43 and my levels are low when it comes to ovulation, so doctors are telling me to give up while shaming me for not doing it earlier. There are valid reasons why I didn't do it earlier. Right now I don't have a partner, so I have to do sperm donor. I'm a little stressed about it.

It is possible!!. I started having babies ...my first pregnancy was a surprise at age 48!! And went on to have 2 more !!! All were naturally conceived too!! Also use ur mind to tell ur ovaries to release eggs I can actually feel my ovaries reacting when I start to think about being pregnant!!
In October 2023 I fond out I was pregnant - unexpectedly. We had given up after trying scine 2019. Kind of just thought "Okay, it's not going to happen." So we where over the moon excited. Sadly, I lost my precious baby boy in December 2023 at 13 weeks and 5 days. I had a prefect ultrasound just 6 days before. He was sucking his thumb, moving around and had a strong heart beat. The DNA testing I had done came back fine. He was prefect. The doctors don't know why it happened. I asked if it was stress as we learnt we had to be out of our apartment shortly after I fond out I was pregnant. As they planned to fully renovate the building. So we where in the progress of buying our first home when it happened. They said no. So here I am, turning 40 in 3 days and I've been trying to get pregnant again scine January.

I'm 45, and I've been trying for a year and nothing. I've never been pregnant and have no miscarriages. I don't want to force it, and I refuse to do IVF. All I want is one baby 👶 but my chances of getting pregnant is 2-3 percent. My tubes are good, but my reserve is low 😢. I'm still a bit hopeful 😅
Read the book It Starts with the Egg, and even though you haven't experienced miscarriage (and I hope you never do!), it goes over some supplements that are helpful for egg health.
ladies, eat figs. they are great for the ovaries. read up on it. I was having irregular periods once, and when I added figs back into my diet, my cycles immediately got on track, smooth and regular.. i ovulate very normal. signs of fertility can be noticed on your vaginal flow, and mucous. wetness is important too.

i got pregnant naturally at 45 but my hcg drops at 6weeks. i've done ivf own egg at 43 with pgt i had spontanous MC. i've done donor egg 1st 2nd transfer failed, 3rd transfer hcg drops and MC again.
I would say it is possible, especially since the body is going through its last hurrah and hyper ovulations, but Down syndrome and twins is very possible at this age. I also think for some women it isn’t possible because their perimenopause is just so severe that they need to be out on hormones and birth control etc to manage the debilitating symptoms.

TTC 9m since my miscarriage. Had my reproductive hormones checked and a pelvic examination, they check egg reserve and everythings normal. I get my cycles everymonth, and i ovulate using the stripes. During my fertility window we do the deed alternative days during the 8 days. I am too tired to do it striaght 4 days. I have a 5yo and life is demanding. All in Gods timing i guess. Last time i got preg bc i done it 4 days straight omg it was like a chore. I think this is were the issue maybe.

I am 42 I have a 12 year old and 4 year old. My husband is 48. We tried naturally for 3 years. Last year we tried IUI 4 times . Then IVF they were only able to get 3 follicles within 2 captures. Then only needed up with one embryo and transplanted that in January and it was not successful. Not sure if I should keep trying 😢. IVF is expensive and my captures were not really much. I did my treatments in Guadalajara Mexico .

I’m 40.5. My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for the last 6 months. I had my fertility evaluated and a polyp was found in my uterus. Had it removed in January and boom, conceived in the next ovulation cycle. I was about to start an IVF journey after the polyp removal, but now I don’t have to. I’m kind of conflicted about the timing because I’ll be almost 42 when I’d be ready to go through IVF for another baby and my eggs would be even older. But I’m so happy I was able to conceive naturally and pray that everything goes well through the first trimester (and beyond of course).
I just found out I have at least three fibroids, and I want a baby so badly. Was it difficult to get it removed? Was it large can I ask? Thank you so much for sharing your story with us❤️❤️
The polyp removal was really quick and simple. I was heavily sedated so I didn’t have to be awake for it. It’s like they went in with a “drill bit” and drilled out and extracted the polyp piece by piece like they were drilling for oil. 😄 I don’t think it was very big, but it was sitting right where the fallopian tube meets the uterus. Quite the obstruction! It turned out to be benign, but it may have prevented an embryo from implanting properly or getting past the first trimester. So removing any polyps sounds like a must. I hope yours are benign and are easy to remove. Good luck in your baby journey!

But my Dr doesn't want me to have them removed and he said I have multiple in my uterus, and actually they're so bad that I haven't been able to sit down in 15 months because the pain is off the charts. My OB said it was a nerve issue, and never told me they've been there the whole time😭😭 so it's been such a long journey but I've asked the Lord to heal me and I just found out I had these last Thursday, so I'm praying this is the first step to getting better, and actually being able to sit down!!!🤣😂🙏❤️☺️ I have to laugh about it because if not I'll cry😂😂 thank you so much for your time and beautiful story and enjoy your precious little one❤️❤️🙏🙏
Well, I ended up miscarrying at 9 weeks. I’ll be doing IVF as soon as possible, hopefully in the next 2 months. I’m heartbroken at the loss of what could have been, but this was a very real possibility with natural conception at this age. I don’t want to try to conceive naturally anymore. IVF only from here on out

In my village one Aunt she got pregnant when she was 55 Years old and baby was also healthy.
Age is just a number you just have to treat your self.

If only I would have researched this topic sooner 😢. About to turn 40, never been pregnant, two failed IVF transfers. Dr Lora, your videos have taught me so much. I cannot thank you enough for all you do for this community in order to educate us about this crucial topic that is human fertility. The doctors one see at appointments don't take the time to explain almost anything, and it is so frustrating. I still have one frozen embryo, and I really hope this will be the one 🙏

There are more and more women over 40 are embarking the fertility journey for the first time in their lives, me included. I hope better statistics can be done and give us a better picture
I so appreciate her real talk and optimism even knowing how hard it is. Since trying for my second, i have had 4 pregnancy losses. I just did my first round of IVF and have one healthy genetically normal embryo. I really hope this works, I talk to my doctor today for FET information.

Hmmmm - the pill is supposed to suppress ovulation. There are some people that can ovulate through pills but not usually consistently ❤️

I am currently on the copper IUD which I love, as it’s the first time in 18 years I have not been on synthetic hormones.

Over the past 3 years, my FSH has gone from high to low and then high again. 11.4 to 10.3 to 6.4 to 11.3 to 14.6 last month. 😢 No one can explain why it is inconsistent, but this week, we were told not to try anymore. I'm gutted and your words were so encouraging and comforting!

If you stop actively trying & try your best to pretend that you're both just horny teenagers again, maybe that less stress of "actively trying" SO hard might help? Instead, set up set up romantic date nights, you don't wear any undies but ONLY tell him when he's about to ask for the check after dinner. _Than,_ you'se can fool around in the car right afterwards. Try to keep it together when you're driving though, for safety reasons!
OR secretly get a hotel room. Buy yourself a really long wig, that's a color that you'd never dye your actual hair, off Amazon or something. Next pull out a _really_ sexy dress & lingerie set for under it. Next drop him a text at his lunch hour. Tell him something came up & to meet you at ____ hotel room & the number. Pre-pack for this event a picnic lunch sandwiches, fruits & veggies for afterwards with, lots of wine or beer. Be waiting in that room for him with the lights really low, dressed like a stranger, your make up all prefect & ready to get messed up. But oh no... you've got nowhere to go except... to bed! Turn on your favourite music & have _thee most fun_ with "not trying" anymore. You're BOTH worth it. 💕💕

I’m 42 and after 1 miscarriage and 2 failed IVFs I finally got pregnant! We tried for 6 years! I had PCOS. What was different about the 3rd and successful IVF? I did this thing called hyperbaric oxygen therapy for 10 days right before embryo transfer. It finally implanted!

I'm 43 and my levels are low when it comes to ovulation, so doctors are telling me to give up while shaming me for not doing it earlier. There are valid reasons why I didn't do it earlier. Right now I don't have a partner, so I have to do sperm donor. I'm a little stressed about it.
I’m turning 41 next week and been trying to conceive for 4yrs unfortunately not then my OBgyne found out that I have infection in my left fallopian tube so I need operation then just having IVF and our egg is ready to transfer when my operation is done successfully.I keep praying that everything goes well because I need a healthy baby🙏Thank you for sharing this video.God bless
It is possible!!. I started having babies ...my first pregnancy was a surprise at age 48!! And went on to have 2 more !!! All were naturally conceived too!! Also use ur mind to tell ur ovaries to release eggs I can actually feel my ovaries reacting when I start to think about being pregnant!!

In October 2023 I fond out I was pregnant - unexpectedly. We had given up after trying scine 2019. Kind of just thought "Okay, it's not going to happen." So we where over the moon excited.
Sadly, I lost my precious baby boy in December 2023 at 13 weeks and 5 days. I had a prefect ultrasound just 6 days before. He was sucking his thumb, moving around and had a strong heart beat. The DNA testing I had done came back fine. He was prefect. The doctors don't know why it happened. I asked if it was stress as we learnt we had to be out of our apartment shortly after I fond out I was pregnant. As they planned to fully renovate the building. So we where in the progress of buying our first home when it happened. They said no.
So here I am, turning 40 in 3 days and I've been trying to get pregnant again scine January.

I'm 45, and I've been trying for a year and nothing. I've never been pregnant and have no miscarriages. I don't want to force it, and I refuse to do IVF. All I want is one baby 👶 but my chances of getting pregnant is 2-3 percent. My tubes are good, but my reserve is low 😢. I'm still a bit hopeful 😅
You need one egg from your reserve to get pregnant but a healthy one and pls believe it is waiting for the right moment to make happens!

Read the book It Starts with the Egg, and even though you haven't experienced miscarriage (and I hope you never do!), it goes over some supplements that are helpful for egg health.

ladies, eat figs. they are great for the ovaries. read up on it. I was having irregular periods once, and when I added figs back into my diet, my cycles immediately got on track, smooth and regular.. i ovulate very normal. signs of fertility can be noticed on your vaginal flow, and mucous. wetness is important too.
That's great. I eat well and take good natural remedies and fertile. I have apparently 2 follicles left but I'm ovulating and discharging and secually active still.

In my mother’s county (Jamaica) this was common they had a name for the babies conceived “wash belly babies”. Its was so common they made a name for it due to the success.
Check out for parasites they like the reproductive areas and they take up the nutrients needed to heal your body for a baby. They never talk about parasites but they are a big deal. ❤

The Quran states several times: Allah(God says Be and it is! he gives to whom he wants and when he wants. we have several pleas to get pregnant and strongly believe in it.

i got pregnant naturally at 45 but my hcg drops at 6weeks. i've done ivf own egg at 43 with pgt i had spontanous MC. i've done donor egg 1st 2nd transfer failed, 3rd transfer hcg drops and MC again.
I would say it is possible, especially since the body is going through its last hurrah and hyper ovulations, but Down syndrome and twins is very possible at this age. I also think for some women it isn’t possible because their perimenopause is just so severe that they need to be out on hormones and birth control etc to manage the debilitating symptoms.
I wish you were my Dr. My Dr. told me to not get pregnant. Now I’m trying with my boyfriend. Oh I’m 47 so we did have the talk. He and I want a baby. I have a daughter. He has three teens but we want a baby together.
I had my youngest at 41 n he's my most brainy n cutest kid. I gave birth to 7 of them on the whole. One died in infancy due to Rubella virus related CHD.

TTC 9m since my miscarriage. Had my reproductive hormones checked and a pelvic examination, they check egg reserve and everythings normal. I get my cycles everymonth, and i ovulate using the stripes. During my fertility window we do the deed alternative days during the 8 days. I am too tired to do it striaght 4 days. I have a 5yo and life is demanding. All in Gods timing i guess. Last time i got preg bc i done it 4 days straight omg it was like a chore. I think this is were the issue maybe.

I am 37 and had a miscarriage on Dec 25th 2023. I was two and half month pregnant at that time and I took a set of pill(breeky) to remove the remnants of the pregnancy under a doctor's guidance. I had irregular spotting till I got my next periods which came on 22nd Jan 2024. The problem is that I am still bleeding after 12 days of periods and 41 days of miscarriage. What shall I do?

I am 42 I have a 12 year old and 4 year old. My husband is 48. We tried naturally for 3 years. Last year we tried IUI 4 times . Then IVF they were only able to get 3 follicles within 2 captures. Then only needed up with one embryo and transplanted that in January and it was not successful. Not sure if I should keep trying 😢. IVF is expensive and my captures were not really much. I did my treatments in Guadalajara Mexico .
