At 40 I underwent 1 1/2 years of intense treatment for a tick born illness. I worked very hard to improve my (failing and debilitating) health. It was a big push for overall wellneas. This was also the year that I married my childhood sweetheart after spending 20 years apart, and we soon wanted a baby (even though our other children are nearly grown). I consulted my doctors and they gave us the green light to "try" even though the stats said i had 1% chance. At 42 I got pregnant within a couple months but had a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks. Later that same year I became pregnant again naturally at 43. I am currently 10 weeks pregnant and my ultrasound last week was perfect. We will soon announce our pregnancy to our family and friends. I just want to encourage others who are considering trying to conceive later in life. It is very possible even when odds don't appear to be in your favor.

To funny he's been my obgyn for all my children. Crazy to see his videos. He's such a sweet man and really does care about people and babies.
He's however doing alot of these and less in the office. So not sure how I feel about that. We need doctors to stay in the field less in media.

Thank you for summarizing everything for us ADHD folks at the end of the vid :) Super informational! I am surprised on alcohol, I have just started IVF and the clinic told me that drinking a glass of wine occasionally during stimulation is not harmful and even beneficial to reduce stress. Not that I would drink, I rarely drink alcohol, but it is interesting that some doctors encourage it and some are even ask you to stop doing certain things...I am just drowned in information and I have no idea who to believe.
Don't do IVF! The clinic will just casually destroy your embryos if they don't look good, but they are still your babies. Have you tried Vitex? If not, give it a few cycles. Way less expensive.

Cervical mucus and Opks tell you when ovulation is approaching (when to have sex), and bbt tells u when ovulation is over (when to stop having sex). Bbt also tells you about your hormones. If most of your temps aren’t higher post ovulation compared to pre ovulation, then you may have a hormonal problem.
Bbt means?
Basal body temperature. It's taking your temp daily upon waking with a thermometer and recording that data. Tons of videos about how to do this on RUclips! 👍🏼

For sure. At 45 you should talk to an RE asap. There are many factors to consider.
@@DrVictorynot sure what the term RE means but frankly have had a little to do with specialists and they haven't been very informative. IUI is being offered. Getting support with a naturopath and acupuncture

I literally can have eggwhite mucus multiple times in my cycle with NO SURGE - I also don’t always get the famous ovulation dip in my temps! I use ALL of these things including my ovulation sticks to predict my ovulation window.
I think it is actually nice that you mention how the actions of the male are also important. It is so common to see the blame on the women when theres a miscarrage and very often we women feel that its our fault and the male can just continue having bad actions without knowing that he is probably the cause of having abnormal sperm that leads to miscarrage. In my case we are both quite healthy, Im vegan and gluten free, low carbs, we both do not smoke drink or have drugs, we have sex very often but I do have endemetrios and since I stopped the pill I am very careful with the amount of sugar and we hope to get pregnant soon. I talked to him about sugar and cholesterol because he loves sugary food and butter a lot, we will try to improve this to give us the best chances this month 🥲 Thank you for this very informative video sir!

@@slimthickaz. Everyone their opinions, me having endometriosis eating meat and dairy is definitely not the way too go otherwise inflammation and no pregnancy 😉 I follow the advice of my doctors and so far I feel much better than before
@@slimthickaz. Many people have gotten sucessfully pregnant and carried it to term on a vegan diet. Check the experiment done by Dr Neal Bernard. In his experiment a woman who was having difficulty conceiving for many years on meat diet successfully conceived by going vegan. Also we need to eat whole foods and unprocessed that's the key, and make sure all the vitamins essential for conceiving are covered by our diet. For example zinc, iron etc. for zinc pumpkin seeds are the best and iron is found in plenty of vegetables like beetroots, green leafy, pomegranates, and dates too.

You still have time, don’t stress
Be sure your tubes aren't blocked (caused by previous infections) and that there is no undetected infection further up in the uterus. (=Microbiome test of the endometrium)
If you've been trying for a while and nothing has worked get your bits checked with ultrasound. With me, my tubes are dilated and ovaries are not in the correct position due to endometriosis. IVF was our only option and we're having our first baby ❤

Depends on your age. But if you’re over 35 6 months is enough. Go see a doctor.

I struggled for years I was always in a calorie deficit for years on end had low sperm count then a year ago my smart watch was off so I was eating just above maintenance calories didn’t realise then within 3 months of this my girlfriend was pregnant sadly we lost our little boy due to a brain condition holoprocencephaly think that’s how it spelt that was last year I went back on a cut and for first time off my own back I decided go on mini bulk now my mrs pregnant again with a little boy hopefully all goes well this time I’ve always eat healthy I don’t smoke or drink or do drugs my point is it might be as simple as under eating for years on end it bout to have a negativity impact on you biologically hope this helps

My uncle does smoke for years but still have 8 kids. I don't do smoking. 7 years of marital life but no kid. We have gone through IUI as well still no success. Getting disappointed day by day.

Eat gluten and dairy free and check if your partners fallopian tubes aren’t blocked and blood tests with a functional doctor for all hormones and thyroid 🙏

This is the first time I've heard bbt isn't evidence based. I thought i saw a paper showing it sped up time to conception? Could you share a link to the evidence its not reliable? Currently doing bbt with LH.
Im also doing BBT and LH, what he didnt tell the ladies on here is BBT is the ONE way to confirm we ovulated - just becuase someone may get a positive LH test doesnt mean we ovulated nor does it mean we ovulated the next day - some cases like myself ovulate two days after my peak. I think hes doing the ladies on here a dis service by not telling them the right information even being a fertility dr. I will continue doing BBT and LH tracking despite what he said. i had unplannef 5 weeks pregnancy. had 3 mornings positive tests 3rd one is faint one. after iv seen my OB 2 days after i got this period. then next period came back 40 days later now im back to my normal cycle for 2 months now. Question here - The impact of beer was an interesting one. There is a huge prevalence of non-alcoholic beer and wine now. For clarification purposes would assume that because your saying the issue is the chemical content of the beer itself and not something which is a by-product of the fermentation process that ANY Beer or Wine would likely ben an issue - Correct?
Probably non alcoholic beer would be OK in moderation, but still check the sugars. Sugar will wreck your fertility, male or female. Real Food for Fertility has a chapter specifically for men that's helpful.

Doctor I have been tring from 6 years waste so many cycles but didn’t have any luck
I have basically followed all of these all my life, so has my husband. Like 100%. Except he doesn't drink Coffee. Still I had 6 miscarriages and couldn't get myself to try again for the past 5 years. We are healthy and doctors couldn't find a reason. I am thinking about trying again now and when I see vids like this, I am totally puzzled.

Very informative 👍 I'm currently 32 (33 in less than a month) I've stopped drinking and smoking completely, I want to prepare myself for pregnancy, but it's quite difficult since my partner is still drinking almost everyday and vaping a lot. I'm considering IVF because I've been quite stressed about my age and also my partner not being ready.
I had my 3rd baby at age 36 and am now pregnant with my 4th at 39. Both conceived naturally (older two kids were born in my 20s). Just wanted to give you some hope - your age is probably not a problem at all as long as you're healthy.

Has she tried Letrozole? It will induce ovulation and that’s when you’ll try.

I used ovulation kit and first trial I got pregnant. Did baby dance on day to ovulation, ovulation day and the morning after .

I personally would add boron… i told my sister that after she tried 8 years… even ivf failed.. in 2 months on boron she got pregnant (boron supplement,not borax!)
Some people with PCOS have LH spikes without ovulating.

Those spikes don’t go up past 1 on the lh ratio kit and your progesterone never goes up so that’s how you know your not ovulating

Hi doctor, I'm 32, trying for almost 6 years, had one miscarriage 4 years back. I have done follicular study one year back for consecutive 3 months,and found out that I ovulated from my left ovary only. My obstetrician told me it is natural. I ended my treatment since the hormonal treatments caused me a lot of physical and mental stress ...😢 Recently I started again consulting a gynec, this month again it is my left ovary ready to ovulate..
what could be the reason that I'm ovulating from my left ovary only....???!
How about the drops to bring my hormones in balance, if they are including alcohol? They made with alcohol just to get the herb's benefits out from the plant. Are they harmful because of alcohol too?
