@@kingofhearts3185 The flamer upgrades literally referance napalm. It's not the same with oil, oil will float to the surface and burn on the surface. Napalm has oxidizer, that's why it can burn under water. Stock may use gasoline or natural gas which will not burn under water.

I'm with you man- immersion is essential to the Fallout experience. Whatever we can do to flesh out the fantasy and make it more convincing serves to heighten the role play. Lore is a bit more flexible when it comes to modding imo, but it's still a consideration.
Graf's Security Fences is a great mod. It cmes with two different angles for sloped fence pieces. Sometimes it's tricky to get the fence pieces to snap but they eventually do. Much better than than FO76 fence with more variety.
Headshots are a double edged sword. I don't really care if I can do it on the computer but I can't stand games that have headshoting ai. That isn't balanced, I know, but I'm not a hardcore gamer. If I want to feel a sense of accomplishment I'll climb a mountain. If I have to choose between realistic headshots for both player and ai, player only, or nobody I would just go with nobody.

Well, if you have some armor on your head and it actually stopped the bullet, it would feel like you just got punched in the head so yeah, i'd be a tad dizzy after such an event, as taking a bullet to the head and living, i would have to shake my head to.

I feel like to a degree synths should tank more damage since their skulls are made of metal maybe you could argue for super mutants but their heads are pretty small in fallout 4 so their probably weaker in general to headshots too
I know you've done a vid of M.A.I.M recently Dak but I thought I'd give it a mention in case anyone hasn't watched your vid yet but would suggest it for anyone looking for a challenge even when up against low level enemies if they have a gun then there is a chance they'll headshot you if you have no helm then you're done out here!.. and vice Versa...pair this with a NPC less accuracy mod and less guns and loot mod and it makes for intense gun exchanges.

As a combat medic (irl) I can tell you the last thing you want to do if you are on a fire is jump into water. The chemical reaction will make your burns more severe. The best way is to suffocate the fire using a blanket (non flamable one!!!) or rolling in sand or on the ground. Just so you know. Would be cool if someone made a mod where you can roll on the ground to put out the fire if you are on fire. Thanks for the video btw
Hey, for damage and dificulty I recomend ranger mode, is a simple mod but it tweaks fallout 4 to have almost the same gameplay as a shooter, mutant enemies are hard to kill and human ones depend on the weapon and ammo tipe

I wish I knew mod stuff. I want to a mod that basically turns FO4 into a nice mix of exploration and Tower Defense. Your settlements get attacked you gotta have the defenses for it and the world is just an open sandbox with NPCs that give radiant quests for decent rewards. Just a nice zen loop of building, looting, shooting
I seem to remember a mod in the creation workshop that had to where you could make waves of enemies attack your settlement. I never got it to try out, but maybe that might help with what you are describing?
Realism? You have compounded PTSD, you know intrinsically, that Shaun is neither still new born, nor 10. You no longer have a need for revenge as you have no idea(before you meet with Nick) that Kellogg still lives. You don't have any real reason to build suburbs(no fuel seller, no grocery, maybe they were doing delivery-only at that point), but now you're bored. Do not get in with Preston who seems to think that general is the same as yes-man. By the way, Codsworth and any fuel-based robots no longer function. If the fusion cores function like they do in the base game, nothing that uses FCs functions. No PA, not even for the raiders*.
6:12 It always bothered me a bit that nobody converted the cars to at least be wagons of some kind or at least be motorized or Brahmin powered. I know that Brahmin karts from half a vehicle was a think in Fallout 1 and 2 but from then on it was soley Brahmins that were used for caravans.

I have PiRAD, More Complex, Nuclear Winter, Gas Masks, and some prewar foods. My distilled water is going into my junk and I can’t drink it. In order to drink or boil dirty water I have to cook with it…so I need to find frozen tatos instead of drinking the distilled water I made. I can’t cook with the distilled. 🤨 This comment is for a specific person tailoring the same experience I am running into this too so if you’re confused it’s not for you thanks.

Would you do a Simple For Newbs to Understand video of how to Install and Use Fallout4xedit, how to identify conflicts and how to fix a variety of conflicts. I have seen a number of videos like that. However they speak too quickly, use a lot of words that I don't understand the meanings of (while speaking quickly), and don't really go over where to find xedit, how to open it, how to use it properly, in a not very confusing way. Gopher has a video out using New Vegasxedit, and his is the closest to being understandable. But as it's for New Vegas, I have difficulty comprehending(?) everything he says, as it's for a different game. His mod conflict and resolution examples aren't exactly the same as we deal with in the more recent Fallout 4. His video came out 6 years ago. Thought I would ask. Again, thank you for this episode. What I look for, more than other things. Are gun mods that are integrated into Level Lists. I don't want a Mod that puts a gun in a specific place and I just have to go and get it (or worse, makes it something you have to craft at the Chem Station.) I have added a fair few. Not for my use, but just to have some weapon variety in the world.

3:14 one thing i really hate about fallout 4 is how there are tons of seats everywhere and water everywhere and you keep accidentally drinking dirty water by accident & sitting down by accident.. i guess i could change the letter on the keyboard that allows sitting? i just find it odd that the devs set drink dirty water on the ground and sit on chairs as the exact same key and all the other stuff you do like loot bodies, fire weapons, open doors etc.. 2 things that are really slow animations and you will almost never want to do, but that could get you killed and ur gonna often be accidentally clicking them.. the mind boggles how no one in bethesda didnt test this and think "is this gonna be annoying?"
one thing that i've used ever since i found it, is the Real Time Cover Penetration Framework with 50 BMG cover penetration. in real life, even a .22 can punch a hole through a 2x4, so it makes no sense that an enemy hiding behind the wimpiest piece of cover you've ever seen is completely protected from bullets. now i just pull out a .50 and their cover goes byebye.
7:24 some fire will persist in real life under water if its a chemical fire.. although a gasoline fire from a molotov or flame thrower should go out.. but... that oil would be on ur clothes and on the surface of the water so if you leave at the same point you entered you might reignite.. if you want actual realism
Ur a great RUclipsr and I love these themed mod bundles but a video idea would be different load orders for Xbox and pc surrounding different themes such as immersion like this video or like a load order surrounding the desperados overhaul or the snowy landscape mod

Speaking of realism, I think there is a mod that adds magazines for pistols and (some?) rifles. I would like to see you display/review such a mod, or even such mods (plural), if there are several that deals with that subject. I think you have already spoken about a mod that adds logical reload of revolvers/shotguns that still have bullets/cartridges left, right? To me, carrying around a thousand loose bullets in a (magical?) backpack, and just cock the gun to instantly reload 5+ bullets is a bit immersion breaking, though it's been standard for FPS-games. It made my inner immersion nerd happy when I found mods for Project Zomboid that added magazines, (storeshelf) boxes for bullets, and even speedloaders for revolvers. Suddenly I had to prepare more, and carefully consider whether to swap a half empty magazine to a full, or hope I would get the time when it was empty. It also added a fun conundrum, as you may find an empty gun, or a magazine for a gun you don't have.
I think there is a way to apply the Water Puts Out Fires using Spell Perk Item Distributor. But i don't know if it supports adding stuff to the player character.
This game,totally 100% more than vanilla ice vanilla, crashes on me quite frequently like most Bethesda console games...I can't even imagine pumping mods into this game
I love the ability to open doors with a shotgun! So a mod like BWD is a must have for me. If you can break down doora that lead to cells that's bad because say you miss a monster and hit a door & it opens to a cell. All of a sudden your in a new cell. This has happened to me. I deleted that mod. This one will probably stay. Headshots as well. You know how it sucks in late game to feel like you're throwing spit wads. This is a great idea. I can retire Critical maybe.
I mean, the realistic headshots makes the game 100x easier and it makes sense to me, but is also good to compensate and apply the same things to your character in that case
Realistic mods are also my favourites. I wonder if anyone will ever recreate my favourite survival mod from Skyrim in Fallout: Campsites + Winter (I can't remember the exact names), but it was one where you'd freeze to death whenever you travelled north after walking too long. You'd have to build a camp site, and warm up inside the tent. Alright, I know we already have a campsite mod here in F4, but its not the same vibe... you don't need to go out and collect branches or coal to start a fire, for example. AND we don't have frozen zones in the Commonwealth, but still... with proper ENBs, one could turn it into a Metro wasteland and benefit from using a survival mod like that.

Just so you know, napalm burns under water. So it is conceivable for fire to persist if you jump in water after being hit by a flamer.
This was also my first thought. Also "cars are bulletproof"... yeah okay.
The game seems to use gas powered flamethrowers given the range and appearance of the vanilla flamer.

Maim fixes the headshot issue in that it makes headshots lethal especially for an helmeted characters or NPCs

There needs to be a mod that lets you toggle off the ability to sit on chairs. I keep hitting "sit" accidentally.

I think you have already spoken about a mod that adds logical reload of revolvers/shotguns that still have bullets/cartridges left, right?
To me, carrying around a thousand loose bullets in a (magical?) backpack, and just cock the gun to instantly reload 5+ bullets is a bit immersion breaking, though it's been standard for FPS-games. It made my inner immersion nerd happy when I found mods for Project Zomboid that added magazines, (storeshelf) boxes for bullets, and even speedloaders for revolvers. Suddenly I had to prepare more, and carefully consider whether to swap a half empty magazine to a full, or hope I would get the time when it was empty. It also added a fun conundrum, as you may find an empty gun, or a magazine for a gun you don't have.

I think there is a way to apply the Water Puts Out Fires using Spell Perk Item Distributor. But i don't know if it supports adding stuff to the player character.

Mods often fix the crashing if you get the right ones. After switching to PC and getting a proper load order, I haven’t had crashing issues in years

I love the ability to open doors with a shotgun! So a mod like BWD is a must have for me. If you can break down doora that lead to cells that's bad because say you miss a monster and hit a door & it opens to a cell. All of a sudden your in a new cell. This has happened to me. I deleted that mod. This one will probably stay.
Headshots as well. You know how it sucks in late game to feel like you're throwing spit wads. This is a great idea. I can retire Critical maybe.

I mean, the realistic headshots makes the game 100x easier and it makes sense to me, but is also good to compensate and apply the same things to your character in that case
Realistic mods are also my favourites. I wonder if anyone will ever recreate my favourite survival mod from Skyrim in Fallout: Campsites + Winter (I can't remember the exact names), but it was one where you'd freeze to death whenever you travelled north after walking too long. You'd have to build a camp site, and warm up inside the tent. Alright, I know we already have a campsite mod here in F4, but its not the same vibe... you don't need to go out and collect branches or coal to start a fire, for example. AND we don't have frozen zones in the Commonwealth, but still... with proper ENBs, one could turn it into a Metro wasteland and benefit from using a survival mod like that.
