The game was most definitely supposed to have dogmeat and a companion at the same time because whenever you enter one of the vaults (the inhabited one i cant remember the number) they mention that you have a companion and a dog at the same time
There is also a level perk that you can activate and invest skill points in, where it doesn't even count dogmeat as a (real) companion, therefore it doesn't give you the "debuff" effect that normally comes with the perk if you had "humanoid/robotic" companion with you. I forgot what it was, if i remember correctly it had something to do with "carry less weight"?
My mod wish list: - 1hand pistol hip fire animation (han solo style) - More player comment mod Talking about location when passing through the map - more female idle animation (like catwoman idle from arkham series) - modern punk style enemies outfit - updating akimbo dual wield pistols to stretching player arms when aiming
I totally understand moon boots being a necessity for you. My biggest pet peeve with fallout 4 is most of the armor is oddly fat and chunky even on the slimmest body types. Its only a small, barely noticeable problem with one piece outfits, but under armor like the minuteman outfit, vault suits, road leathers, and military uniform are hideous when you notice that they alter how armor fits the body. Most cases being making the forearm, leg, and/or foot armor comically large when worn over them.
When I saw the first mod, I knew this had got to be a troll video or those "I can't live without" series. After going through the entirety of the list, it was expected. Sad, I was hoping to find mods that are trending or essential mods that I've forgotten to get.

I find it strange you don't like horribly mutated creatures looking ugly? Isn't that the point? They're meant to look ugly and unpleasant to look at because its a post nuclear war game and they've suffered horribly from the radiation. Isn't a ghoul or a dog that has suffered in radioactive wasteland looking horrible, a design success, given that seems to fit the world they're in? Many aspects of a post apocalyptic world are going to horrible, intentionally. I'm not saying have fallout 3 style ghouls or coyote are bad mods, they are a nice alternative but it seems strange to call mutant horrors "atrocious" for being ugly, that's kinda the point? They're not meant to look healthy.
@@DegenerateDak hey dak I was wondering if you could tell me where I can go to talk to some of the mod creator's I have questions for them about a few mod that you showed on your last mod review oh and I think someone is posing as you in the last videos comment section
About the Dogmeat + one companion...it definitely was supposed to be in the base game. I also noticed on interaction when going to vault 88 for the first time with Preston and Dogmeat, the security guy asked the overseer (when they let me in) "what about the man and dog with him".
Mine is Sim Settlements 2, it takes the monotomy out of building settlements, set a settlement to the default city plain and it'll take care of things from there.
It also adds so much story content to the base game that, as far as I'm convinced, at this point it finely demonstrates what Fallout 4 should have been. Kinggath and co. should just be handed the keys for Fallout 5 at this point.
@@jimjam7928 Also, SS2 in addition to 'We Are the Minutemen' overhaul and other tweaking Minutemen mods and it genuinely feels like you're building up a rivalling nation to the NCR with it's own army and economy. It blows out all the other faction storylines and I desperately hope that this is the cannon outcome for Fallout 5.
Hey so quick question how is sim settlements 2 compared to 1 in your opinion? I havnt played really with either but from what I can tell sim 1 is more or less complete and has expansion packs for the dlc.
@@dominicesquivel3901 Sim settlements 1 was pretty much focused on laying down plots for settlers to build on and a few miscellaneous things around it like power poles, SS2 however is all that and much more with a new quest-line, side-quests too with NPC's and the voice acting is pretty good-if not better then vanilla with no low-quality recordings or those oddball, heavy fake accents you get in some mods. I couple SS2 with "We are the minutemen" and to me this IS cannon Fallout 4, you reclaim the land for the people, rebuild your army and the Commonwealth one settlement at a time and could become the next nation state like the NCR, with it's own standing army.
One of mine is True Storms. It adds more variable weather and radiation storms that differ in severity which are completely customizable for frequency and such, but the best part? during radiation storms youll get attacked by a horde of feral ghouls, which you can again customize as to how many are sent at you, to simulate the Ghouls leaving the Glowing Sea. Its pretty sweet!
Combine that with NAC X and proper patches and loadorder and you get the best of both! Oh and dont forget to add "True Nights" and "Sounds of Evil - Ghouls" as well.
Laser Weapons 1st Person Reposition is an essential part of my load order. I actually like the Institute Laser Rifle/Pistol, but the vanilla 1st person view models are why I call it the laser bazooka.
I'll never understand why they made them so friggin' huge in first person, even though it's soo simple to fix. You literally loose the entire right bottom quarter of your screen. Imagine this being the case in an actual competitive FPS shooter... people would go nuts over this! O.o
@@equest511 What I dont understand is why people are getting upset about this. Seriously, you're going to be aiming down sights or through a scope anyway so you're not even going to see it.
Loved it. Thank you for your time. Some small suggestions 1) Longer Power Lines - just what it says for settlement building. 2) No Endless Gratitute -> fixes a bug where you defend a settlement and get endless thank yous 3) Radioactive signs -> not what it says. It lights up the various signs throughout the commonwealth and it looks gorgeous at night. 4) Colored Workshop lights -> add gorgeous lights to any settlement and the light colors mix together creating an awesome color spectacle. 5) Docile Ragstags -> because I hate having to kill them. 6) Malt Shop Mayham -> adds a new DJ and a great collection of 50's songs 7) previsibines Repair Pack (PRP) fixes broken premeshes and if you've ever encountered this -> it's a lifesaver. 8) Stronger Diamond City guards -> now they don't die like flies when attacking Supermutants 9) Take your Cores -> simple mod to auto remove the core when getting out of powerarmor so a settler can't steal it 10) We are the minuteman -> overhaul of the minuteman making them far stronger in combat with better outfits and far less radiant quests from Preston Garvey.
Here's some things I wish I could do in Fallout 4 1. Tell that nagging bitch Marcy Long to shut her trap and lighten the f**k up! 😂 2. Get other Minutemen to help out the settlements instead of it only being me doing it all. Minutemen? More like one Minuteman who does everything while Preston just walks around being glad it isn't raining or hammers the outside of a house! 3. Respond to enemies in a fight. Raider: Ain't my first gun fight, rookie! My character: No, but it IS your last! *Kills Raider* 4. Repair and use vehicles. I'm fed up of running everywhere XD I wish I could take one of the abandoned cars, fix it up and drive 5. Disarm enemies. I don't mean hitting them and maybe they'll drop a gun on the ground. I want to actually take the weapons out of their hands! 6. Counter enemy Melee attacks 7. Use junk objects as weapons. 8. Smoke. There's cigars, cigarettes and lighters lying around and well, why not put them to use?
I actually really like the FO4 ferals, the burned, melting flesh gives such a mutated, irradiated look to them with works so well imo. It makes it look like the ghouls took on too much radiation and went mad because of it. The fact that they’re so revoltingly ugly is the appeal to me. But the NV ferals don’t actually look much worse than the regular ones. They just look like people who’re missing their skin
The fo4 ones look creepy from the weird appearance that looks like something out of love crafts stories, whereas older ones just looked straight up creepy
My favorite animation in Immersive Animations is the one where you SLAM the bottle to the ground, cause I can just do a 180, drink vodka, break the bottle, do another 180, and pass three red speech checks and it looks so funny
I can't believe there was a solution for those clown boots back from 2016. I never knew how to look for a mod to "solve" my pet peeve, so thank you Dak, "Moon Boots Begone" is going straight into that Data folder
I use Rename to give my settlers (all named Settler) unique and individual names. Place Everywhere has a permanent spot in my load order. One note for people who want to do "no mod" builds. Most of you will spend a silly amount of time struggling with the pillar and rug glitches to get things into place. Place Everywhere is the pillar and rug glitch (without the glitch part) and it's set up to be "built in" to the workshop mode. It literally lets you pillar/rug glitch without the struggle! So you can use this one mod and still proudly proclaim you did it "no mods" because it's the same thing you would be doing anyway. Also, I personally consider using the glitches to be a form of "building with mods", so there's that too. 😀 I have Everyone's Best Friend but I don't use it much. I find having any companion with me, they get in the way more than anything else (which is a common problem in most games) and Dogmeat is the worst!
People associate coyotes with deserts and rural area and don't seem to know or realize that just about every major city in the USA has a breeding coyote population.
i kinda like Be Exceptional cause it A) makes demolitionist one of the skills instead of a perk, and B) Makes the throwing arc a perk you can choose to take or not. The mod just makes leveling up behave more like previous games where you got skill points each level based on intelligence and perk points once per level (and I think it's settings can be tinkered with)
@@mr24coja yeah, but it looks like all that does is nerf skill point obtainment. Which honestly i don't mind the rate of skill points in the original. It still takes leveling past 50 to max all skills even with the most efficient skill point rate (10 int, grab intelligence bobblehead asap, get educated asap)
@@fireblast133 Which is a good thing, you level much faster in fo4 than you did in fnv. Without the Rebalanced you get everything wayyy too fast. Which is fine if you enjoy a power fantasy and don't really care about game balance
@@mr24coja honestly My first trip through the game with be exceptional was my previous one on survival. Ended up running the subversion mod too. Oh, and going along with the raiders in nuka world until it was time to start raiding the commonwealth.
the "Everyones Best Friend" mod is something that realy should have been in the game right from the start, its just so stupid to have to pick between ur dog and a human (or robot) companion...
I have a mod called Deadly Radstorms and it makes shelter and rad resistance much more important, especially in the Glowing Sea. With low rad resistance you’re talking 100 rads per second when the lightning blasts.
I'm disappointed there's no swearing animals mention. I love roaming the capital wasteland and hearing touretts guy clips. Walking by a flock of birds and i hear PISS is gold.
The one thing you have to be careful of with Lots More Hairstyles is you should have your facial hair picked before you pick the hair. Otherwise it won't seem to let you select facial hair afterwards. Honestly though, I'm surprised they didn't just make that or the merged facial hair styles a default for Vanilla Fallout considering all the great options it gives you. Everyone's Best Friend is fantastic, you just gotta be careful managing inventory when giving companions items and who you're commanding.
Great list! I was just thinking yesterday how I absolutely couldn't play without Place Anywhere. However, I would include one of the most overlooked and G.O.A.T. mods "Crafting Framework," by Dankraaft (previously known as "Legendary Crafting Framework.") It allows full custom modification on every aspect of all weapons and armor, vanilla OR mod added. It makes any weapon or armor relevant at any point in a playthrough and gives you full control on it's stats, usability and features. It adds so much more variety for any playthrough. Before, I had quite a few weapon and armor mods and even vanilla items I loved that were too under-powered or over-powered and now I can use them all. One of the greatest quality of life mods of all-time, hands down and sooo overlooked and missed. I can't imagine how it wouldn't be a staple in anyone's load order.
One mod I will never, ever remove is Scrap Everything. I used to hate hate having to set up in Sanctuary and have to work around all those horrible, dilapidated buildings that you couldn't get rid of! But now I can get rid of everything in an area and build a strong, walled, fortified structure, bristling with guns and clear lines of fire, without having to work around what is already there
Just be aware: Scrap Everything has the tendency to break precombines and therefore kill performance because this game is about as optimized as Crysis running on a potato.
Pro tip for Place Everywhere for keyboards with no numpad: If you're on PC with a smaller keyboard, it's probably a gaming keyboard. Remapping some macros or key combos to call Place Everywhere hotkeys is a lot easier than editing the Place Everywhere ini file to give you access to all the hotkeys.
I had this problem, another option is if you have those gaming mouse with multiple buttons that you never really utilize, you can map those buttons for the shortcuts.
The #1 mod I will not play without is Mutant Menagerie. While it has a few issues like static spawns of troublesome critters in questionable spots, the wildlife it adds makes the game so much more "alive".
I use it in alot of my hardcore survival mod lists, sadly I play on Xbox (seriously bethesda give us a higher mod limit) so trying to use alot of good mods simultaneously becomes impossible. I'm about to rework my mod list to see what I can work into it. I enjoy my games being so frustrating they become unfun
Wow. I had heard of Place Anywhere and always been tempted to get it... I had absolutely no idea about the extra features it has. Those are amazing. That changes everything. Thank you!
I appreciate all the work you put in to make these. They're totally my favorite type of video. Even when I know every mod on the list, you tend to mention something about it I didn't know or why you do or don't like popular alternatives to similar mods. Thanks again 🍻
One of mine is changing the bolt action rifle to have the bolt on the right side. The first gun I fired irl was a bolt action, and because of that it bugs me that it's wrong
Been using the "Place Everywhere" (in tandem with the "Scrap Everything" and ""Homemaker") for years and never I realized that you could rescale objects... I always use the setscale command...
I use this to 'retexture' pipe weapons :D "Redistribute Weapon Lists - Pipe guns removed". You won me over about the Ghouls and dogs. I'll also be trying out the photomode. Also I hadnt a clue you could resize things in Place Everywhere. Thanks for another fun video :)
I have had over 300 Mods in my builds in the past, so far in my current game I have 261. I use a couple dozen cosmetic Mods so I can do more than rename a character. For me, "CBBE" and "Body Slide" are a MUST.😁 "Scrap Anything," "Place Anywhere," "Animation Framework," and "Photo Mode" are great, but I figure that some things would be CLEANER after over 200 years, so I use "Clean Shacks and Warehouses," Institute build Mods, "Cars Redux," and more. Some other basic good practical Mods are "Longer Power Lines," "Homemaker," and obviously "F4Se," "SMM," as well as "Armor Weapons and Keywords." While it isn't a Mod, the command code I like a lot is "openactorcontainer 1." Can't wait for "Fallout London" to release.
Yea, Everybody's Best Friend is for sure the BEST BEST BEST mod.. They said the reason they removed it from the vanilla game is they decided that it was a bit too strong to have both Dogmeat and a companion especially with him being able to carry stuff same as everyone else, but that's also why they made it so the Lone Wanderer perk doesn't count Dogmeat.
I personally prefer the fallout 4 ghouls, they kinda remind me of the descriptions from survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki of people who survived short term with really extreme burns, where their skin basically melted off, although reading their accounts for the first time when I was about 12 affected my sleep for a week or so. Personal taste though.
Excellent mod list, very well-rounded! Please continue to share your mod recommendations/preferences in the future! 😄👍 Personally, I prefer D.E.C.A.Y - Better Ghouls to make ghouls look really nasty and Terrifyer - Ghouls to make them sound scarier, though Halo Ghoul sounds The Flood is also a good ghoul sound mod, if not the most lore-friendly, so I tend to stick with Terrifyer. Makeshift Welds is my go-to pipe weapon mod after you introduced me to it via your Fixing Fallout 4's Pipe Weapons - Mod Bundle video. Anyway, thanks for sharing and please keep up the great work with mod showcases/recommendations and with making your own mods! Really looking forward to the attachment pack!
I've been playing Fallout 4 since it first came out between console and PC I've got close to 4000 hours in the game, place anywhere/everywhere has been a constant item in my load order, I'm ashamed to admit I never knew you could do some of the things that you showed in your video, I can't wait to get back to building to see what fun stuff I can achieve now.
Dude, as a new Fallout 4 player it's great to see updated Mods suggestions, and not from 7 years ago! Love your videos! You won't believe it, but after hours and hours searching for good QoL mods, I stumbled upon several ofl these Mods! Here's my opinion about them: - Moon Boots: The change is subtle, yet noticeable! It's a good QoL Mod! - Throwing Arc: This mod's immersive. I didn't like that arc either and that was a reason I wasn't leveling Explosives. - Rename Anything: Recently I replaced "What's Your Name" for this mod, but I haven't tried it yet. I want to used it specially on Settlers. - Sprint Reload: This is quite difficult to do irl, so I skipped this 'cause it's more realistic to slow down in order to reload your weapon. - Place Everywhere: At first I thought this mod was gonna break my game, but it did quite the opposite. Having control of the things you're building in a semi-sandbox mode is actually more immersive than the Vanilla experience. - Makeshift Welds: This is a MUST for me! After I installed this mod, I automatically started using Pipe weapons a lot more frequent! - Immersive Animations: I haven't tried this mod yet, 'cause I had a (similar) mod for drinks called "Have a Beer" which bugged all the time! - More Hairstyles: I'm definitely gonna try this mod! The only hairstyle mods I liked was from the Bethesda mods, but since I'm using MO2 and disabled both Creation Club and Bethesda Mods, I don't wanna install mods from that source anymore. - Best Friends: It's a feature meant to be ingame! It's great! - Feral Ghouls: Not too shabby! Didn't know about this retexture until now, and I'll give it a try! - Coyotes: Same as above! Coyotes are not that aggressive irl, but Rad can make anything possible! I would have liked to see them will slight mutations or malformations. - Laser Fix: Worried that might interfere with "Lowered Weapons" mod. - Photo Mode: One of the best QoL mods out there! This fixed my problem about wanting to take screenshots without the HUD active, so I got rid of Immersive HUD.
I found a mod that replaces the pipe weapons with better looking alternatives, and you can upgrades them till they almost look like proper guns. It's Post-apocalypse handmade weapons.
I totally agree, the first time I saw him using the mod I thought to myself it doesn't fit in fallout 4, the ghoul retexture just doesn't fit. It doesn't look right lol
Tbh, i like some vanilla models because they are ugly. I don't really expect the post-apocalypse to be pretty. It would be breaking the immersion. Also, I think since the environment in Boston and New Vegas is so different, it would influence how feral ghouls look. Also, which NPCs we encounter. It makes sense that we encounter coyotes in Nevada, but I'm not so sure about Boston. Regular dogs mutating into mutant dogs. For sure, but that is my personal taste tho.
I also use some mods, or through Creation Club ! I like the Hell jumper outfit, the army backpack from CC, and some overpowered weapon mods! Kar98 carbine, assault rifle 44, shotguns, MG-34/42. Also for the Pipboy a radio mod with heavy metal music
Recently gone back to new vegas, as fallout 4 had broke in such fantastic ways that the helpful people of the discord could only say "that's not supposed to happen" So goodbye Boston, goodbye Fah Habah, and I never really bothered with Nuka World again that was boring.
we need a mod for one dog one robot one mutant and two human companion's. dogmeat and codsworth should be able to go alongside the human companion. DOGMEAT, CODSWORTH, PIPER, PRESTON GARVEY. dream companion.
- Simple Settlers, gives settlers names and slightly wider range of apperances but that just makes so much difference. - Gone Hunting / Fishing, cuz' in my future they ain't all a buncha vegans, and they cut and gut fish, or slice meat for their food stations (under resources). - S.C.R.A.P. let's you get rid of more crap. - Immersive Overgrowth; Summer I mean after 200 years some foliage would return right? - USO almost all the in-game objects? Yes please.
Fallout players when the developers keep features from old games: Lazy developers! The new game is just a cashgrab! Fallout players when modders add in features from old games: Wow thanks for adding this, I dont know why the developers didn't just add this into the game! Just an observation I made. I use some of the mods on this list, its pretty cool.
The mod that allows you to use console commands in Survival mode so I can "disable" skeletons at the drive in and hanging raider corpses in Hangman's Alley is pretty much essential.
@@willkrueger3857 There are some bones and rib cages that you can scrap if memory serves but the complete skeletons and the raider display corpses on the butcher hooks you can't.
My only issue with the Lots More Hair mod is you have to use looks Menu for it I personally think it should be active when actually making the character (unless there is something im missing and you can use it while making said character) overall its amazing and I agree its a must have.
Of course it's a matter of taste but I don't get the issue with the vanilla ferals. They look like tragically deformed and melted people, and well they literally are. They have one of the best models in the game in terms of texture and little details. Stuff like the blood comings out of the orifices and melted together bits, the the heavy callousing on the big ones, the giant boils on some of the nastier glowing ones. The NV/F3 look straight up looks like a saturday morning cartoon, FO4 has some goofy stuff in it but that model really sticks out like a sore thumb in a bad way. It's ironic that the goofy cartoony big boots irked you but not that ghoul model mod.
About a year and a half ago, I saw one of Dak's videos that featured the Photomode mod. It's become a hard-requirement for all of my FO4 gameplay since then. I can't tell you how many pictures I've taken with it, half my game time is probably spent in it. If you don't have it, you definitely need it.
12 Mods I cannot live without: - MK18 CQBR - Assault Rifle replacer mod - Glock 19 - 10mm Pistol replacer mod - AA-12 - Combat Shotgun replacer mod - M1A Springfield Armory - Combat Rifle replacer mod - United Security Contractor armor (For my male character) - Desert Operator outfit (for my female character and Piper) - Target Practice - Beauty Piper (Reason why I like this mod is because this mod makes her look like my female character in my 2nd playthrough which she’s also the secondary protagonist in this book I’m writing. The male character wears armor that looks similar to the United Security Contractors armor but in all black and the female character wears Desert Operator outfit but the black version.)
Something I was thinking too: does the mod that allows you to bring a companion and Dogmeat at the same time apply to robot companions? I always wanted to have both a human companion and an Eyebot companion at the same time like in New Vegas.
_ I feel like the more reasonable and emotionally charged story beat would be for Nate/Nora to try to bring their spouse back to life from the obvious gunshot wound to the shoulder by using the Memory Den, and for Shaun to be a computer screen with a face like Mr House or the Big MT scientists, as he should be detached from humanity to have this ridiculous twisted pseudo-moralistic ideologies. These changes can be made with mods and personally would make the story so much more bearable fir me. _ The in-game pipe weapons are truly idiotic and the mod is a godsend. Thank you for the recommendation. The raiders, Gunners, and scavengers should all be decently smart and pragmatic enough to make functional weapons. Not just slap a pipe with a rivet on top of a tube and call it a scope, or wrap a bunch of tapes where it's not needed. I retch at those kind of details.
I can't stand dogmeat... yeah I said what I said... He's like a walking alert to enemies that also tries to block any doorway or stairs you might have any interest in using so in moments of immersed stealth you wanna throw something because you can't just dodge and weave and move how you want to.
I'm always rolling with DogMeat, Heather and whatever vanilla companion I feel like taking with me. Curie has been tagging along for a while now, just because I like her voice haha. Tac vest on DogMeat and everyone else is rocking T-60's decked to the max. I can just sit back with DogMeat and watch the girls tear apart anything that tries to get near us. It's straight up blood lust, those ladies are diabolical.
When you said “I bet you immediately stop using the institute rifle” I thought you were going to list a mod that rebalances lmao. That gun is useless, even if you forget the visuals.
So let me guess, you're one of those completely crazy Fallout New Vegas fanboys who can't accept anything from vanilla Fallout 4 because it's from Bethesda? The ghouls and dogs in Fallout 4 look even better than those in Fallout NV and Fallout 3.
Dunno about Fallout 4, but my absolutely can't-live-without mods for Skyrim are RealBows, Believable Weapons and Heavy Legion. I just can't stand the look of vanilla bows, oversized THICC melee weapons and the chunkyness of vanilla imperial armors.
You're teaching me so much so i will try to give you something in return; If you want 4× the immersion and you want hip firing to feel 4× as badass then unless you're rollplaying as a cyborg then ALWAYS play first person games with no reticle. Then if you want 4 more times the immersion on top and have an entire, more realistic control system to master and make you feel like your avatar is a human with human joints and human target aquisition skills AND that lets you ACTUALLY pull a trigger? Hook up a controller with back buttons or paddles. Mastering both of these techniques will make spinning on ths spot and hip-fire blasting an approaching enemy's head off feel a grand total of 14 times more badass🤓 You're wrlcome.
The only thing about the pipe weapon retexture is they look to good for an apocalyptic wasteland. The Orange in vanilla is HORRIBLE but I just need a proper rusty junk gun.
This video is unironically a warning to players to not become a hardcore modder. This video was hilarious even though it's not supposed to be just by the nitpicky whining. "I dont like ghouls or gun designs and its a big deal I will literally hurt myself" Just wow.

About the Dogmeat + one companion...it definitely was supposed to be in the base game. I also noticed on interaction when going to vault 88 for the first time with Preston and Dogmeat, the security guy asked the overseer (when they let me in) "what about the man and dog with him".
That’s called “everyone’s best friend”, and it has a VR patch too!
I had this encounter 5days ago i was only with preston and the Guy talked only about him and not about the dog
@@milandarimont5505 cause u don't have the dog
Just had this experience last weekend!
you were probably the man he was referring to lol
@@SynthLizard8 This
Hey so quick question how is sim settlements 2 compared to 1 in your opinion?
@@zackhenderson2392 thats just you
@@zackhenderson2392It blocks enough of the screen I walk over fucking landmines.
Loved it. Thank you for your time. Some small suggestions
1) Longer Power Lines - just what it says for settlement building.
2) No Endless Gratitute -> fixes a bug where you defend a settlement and get endless thank yous
3) Radioactive signs -> not what it says. It lights up the various signs throughout the commonwealth and it looks gorgeous at night.
4) Colored Workshop lights -> add gorgeous lights to any settlement and the light colors mix together creating an awesome color spectacle.
5) Docile Ragstags -> because I hate having to kill them.
6) Malt Shop Mayham -> adds a new DJ and a great collection of 50's songs
7) previsibines Repair Pack (PRP) fixes broken premeshes and if you've ever encountered this -> it's a lifesaver.
8) Stronger Diamond City guards -> now they don't die like flies when attacking Supermutants
9) Take your Cores -> simple mod to auto remove the core when getting out of powerarmor so a settler can't steal it
10) We are the minuteman -> overhaul of the minuteman making them far stronger in combat with better outfits and far less radiant quests from Preston Garvey.
Here's some things I wish I could do in Fallout 4
1. Tell that nagging bitch Marcy Long to shut her trap and lighten the f**k up! 😂
*Kills Raider*
4. Repair and use vehicles. I'm fed up of running everywhere XD I wish I could take one of the abandoned cars, fix it up and drive
5. Disarm enemies. I don't mean hitting them and maybe they'll drop a gun on the ground. I want to actually take the weapons out of their hands!
6. Counter enemy Melee attacks
I think the fallout 4 ones look more realistic, and the re-texture makes them look too cartoonish.
The fo4 ones look creepy from the weird appearance that looks like something out of love crafts stories, whereas older ones just looked straight up creepy
Add "Sounds of Evil - Ghouls" to the Ghouls, either version, makes em much scarier.
@@DoomSlayer65 thank you. my exact thoughts.
Same with the mongrel dogs, of course they’re ugly, they’re all irradiated and gross, they’re basically ghoul dogs!
My favorite animation in Immersive Animations is the one where you SLAM the bottle to the ground, cause I can just do a 180, drink vodka, break the bottle, do another 180, and pass three red speech checks and it looks so funny
Brb gotta get some liquid courage-
HOO, I’M READY, LESSGO

Exactly! I played since release but I only started recently with modding and it helps a lot
@@nh-rm5jt modding turns bethesda games from good to great. Glad you enjoy your modding journey so far!
I live on the south side of Chicago, very metropolitan, and we have coyotes sometimes wandering our neighborhoods lol
The "rename everything" mod is rad, you can make the entire game much more fancy by renaming the "Door" to "Dior"!
i kinda like Be Exceptional cause it A) makes demolitionist one of the skills instead of a perk, and B) Makes the throwing arc a perk you can choose to take or not. The mod just makes leveling up behave more like previous games where you got skill points each level based on intelligence and perk points once per level (and I think it's settings can be tinkered with)
Yeah, then there is also Be Exceptional Rebalanced, which changes the level up curve to be more like New Vegas
@@fireblast133 Ayyy, Im planning a playthrough with subversion as well. I'm looking forward to what that mod has to offer
These are often the best videos because new players know what mods to get, it's like a guide. Also useful for every player in some way.
I agree I love these mods! The only problem is I play on ps5! I love missing out!
the "Everyones Best Friend" mod is something that realy should have been in the game right from the start, its just so stupid to have to pick between ur dog and a human (or robot) companion...
@@bluedogz1624 I've been using it for over a year and not noticed any problems with it
Guaranteed game killer.
“It just works” nice reference 😂

@@WUZLE I was so happy after playing fallout 76 and finding out rad beavers and rad opossums were canon.
Thanks again

I'd be willing to bet that the majority of the people that didn't like the building in Fallout could have used "place everywhere"
I always use the setscale command...
quit lying, wheres CBBE we know you have it, everyone does
You can take each category of Textures, graphics, Weapons, animations etc. into a top 10 best and worst list video
They truly are irredeemably rubbish.
You say Rename Anything is self explanatory but I've had it for so long and never thought to use it or how to use it 😂
I have had over 300 Mods in my builds in the past, so far in my current game I have 261.
Some other basic good practical Mods are "Longer Power Lines," "Homemaker," and obviously "F4Se," "SMM," as well as "Armor Weapons and Keywords." While it isn't a Mod, the command code I like a lot is "openactorcontainer 1."
Can't wait for "Fallout London" to release.
My 1. Would be Unofficial Patch
However i wonder how many of the bugs from that mod will be updated with the update that's dropping soon
is there anywhere else that you can find the 1st person reposition? The Nexus link mod isn't available anymore :(
Excellent mod list, very well-rounded! Please continue to share your mod recommendations/preferences in the future! 😄👍
Personally, I prefer D.E.C.A.Y - Better Ghouls to make ghouls look really nasty and Terrifyer - Ghouls to make them sound scarier, though Halo Ghoul sounds The Flood is also a good ghoul sound mod, if not the most lore-friendly, so I tend to stick with Terrifyer.

For me personally, the most essential mod is ThiccMeat
Aww, only the xbox version of laser fix remains, the pc version is deleted on nexusmods.
Congrats! I'm currently at 7120.4 and counting.
Dude, as a new Fallout 4 player it's great to see updated Mods suggestions, and not from 7 years ago! Love your videos!
You won't believe it, but after hours and hours searching for good QoL mods, I stumbled upon several ofl these Mods! Here's my opinion about them:
- Moon Boots: The change is subtle, yet noticeable!
Now I want to see you just do a non-modded playthrough
What do you use for the brightness?
Nothing makes me wanna reinstall FO4 like one of your mods vids
This is such a great selection of mods. Actually picked a few gems from this list. Thanks!
i feel bad for the console players not able to tcl while settlement building
Unpopular opinion: There is nothing wrong with fo4 ghoul and mongrel textures. Not everyone is nostalgic towards fo3.
I totally agree, the first time I saw him using the mod I thought to myself it doesn't fit in fallout 4, the ghoul retexture just doesn't fit. It doesn't look right lol
When I try to install FO Photo Mode, I get an error
Tbh, i like some vanilla models because they are ugly. I don't really expect the post-apocalypse to be pretty. It would be breaking the immersion. Also, I think since the environment in Boston and New Vegas is so different, it would influence how feral ghouls look. Also, which NPCs we encounter. It makes sense that we encounter coyotes in Nevada, but I'm not so sure about Boston. Regular dogs mutating into mutant dogs. For sure, but that is my personal taste tho.
How DARE you make me notice the moon boots after so many years.
With "Moon Boots" I never noticed the big shoes untill it was pointed out to me
How can you have a "Top N" video without Heather Casdin?!? For shame.... 😛
"mods I can't live without" - I've never used it, I'm still alive
One of mine is "Cheat Terminal" think of it like a NG+ addition.
Recently gone back to new vegas, as fallout 4 had broke in such fantastic ways that the helpful people of the discord could only say "that's not supposed to happen"
So goodbye Boston, goodbye Fah Habah, and I never really bothered with Nuka World again that was boring.
we need a mod for one dog one robot one mutant and two human companion's.
dogmeat and codsworth should be able to go alongside the human companion.
DOGMEAT, CODSWORTH, PIPER, PRESTON GARVEY. dream companion.
Please the name of the mod that adds the weapons you use in the video
I honestly think the FO4 ghouls are pretty creepy but I do prefer the older models
The mod that allows you to use console commands in Survival mode so I can "disable" skeletons at the drive in and hanging raider corpses in Hangman's Alley is pretty much essential.
I think you can scrap those in scrap everything as well
@@willkrueger3857 There are some bones and rib cages that you can scrap if memory serves but the complete skeletons and the raider display corpses on the butcher hooks you can't.
My only issue with the Lots More Hair mod is you have to use looks Menu for it I personally think it should be active when actually making the character (unless there is something im missing and you can use it while making said character) overall its amazing and I agree its a must have.
Thanks Dak for the link for the place anywhere mod I was having trouble finding it on Xb1
Immersive Animation could use some re-work for the Tired person Animated, otherwise the mod is amazing.
my guy made a inspect element mod.
i love it
Of course it's a matter of taste but I don't get the issue with the vanilla ferals.
12 Mods I cannot live without:
- MK18 CQBR
- Assault Rifle replacer mod
- Glock 19
- 10mm Pistol replacer mod
- AA-12
- Combat Shotgun replacer mod
- M1A Springfield Armory
- Combat Rifle replacer mod
- United Security Contractor armor (For my male character)
- Desert Operator outfit (for my female character and Piper)
- Target Practice
- Beauty Piper (Reason why I like this mod is because this mod makes her look like my female character in my 2nd playthrough which she’s also the secondary protagonist in this book I’m writing.
Hi Dak, thanks for existing!

You're teaching me so much so i will try to give you something in return;
If you want 4× the immersion and you want hip firing to feel 4× as badass then unless you're rollplaying as a cyborg then ALWAYS play first person games with no reticle.
Then if you want 4 more times the immersion on top and have an entire, more realistic control system to master and make you feel like your avatar is a human with human joints and human target aquisition skills AND that lets you ACTUALLY pull a trigger? Hook up a controller with back buttons or paddles.
Mastering both of these techniques will make spinning on ths spot and hip-fire blasting an approaching enemy's head off feel a grand total of 14 times more badass🤓
You're wrlcome.
The only thing about the pipe weapon retexture is they look to good for an apocalyptic wasteland. The Orange in vanilla is HORRIBLE but I just need a proper rusty junk gun.
the only mod i cant live without is whispering hills, i have no idea why, fallout 4 just feels empty to me without it
This video is unironically a warning to players to not become a hardcore modder. This video was hilarious even though it's not supposed to be just by the nitpicky whining. "I dont like ghouls or gun designs and its a big deal I will literally hurt myself" Just wow.
