Definitely feels like we need a Minutemen Arsenal update that adds in more Colonial Themed weapons that may even have a possibility to become more technologically advanced as the Sole Survivor gains more settlements.
This is basically a one stop shop for all the Institute weapons you could want. This is definitely a great mod and I’m glad this giant project is finally out.
Kinda strange why it took so long for something like this to arrive Also I honestly wonder why there isn't more mods going along with fallout's design principle there's so much potential for creativity even for completely absurd ballistic weapons but yet there's mostly just modern weapons while there is a lot of modern armor as well I've seen a good amount of fallout style armor as well though
I've said before that the Institute weapons needed a serious overhaul, because despite being the most advanced faction in the Commonwealth, their arsenal was terrible. With everything featured in this mod pack, they are now a group that is to be rightly feared.
Finally the Institute now has lots of weapon to choose from beside the old bucky weapon this mod definitely deserves an endorsement for anyone who loves the Institute and side with them also love the lore most definitely lore-friendly. 👍

@@EDclave-5 personally, if the Cereal box of a Institute Laser Rifle was presented as a Expedition class rifle that is one of the things affordable to lose, then that would make sense. but it is not. The modification options do not mean there should be a lack of base weapons to upgrade. if we had more weapon types and weapon variants, this would not be a issue. We can now hope for a Gun Runners arsenal like deal now.
Woah this is even more impressive than I thought it would be. Not only all the great weapons that Micalov has been releasing in one place, but the system for being able to use them is great too!
What's cool about this mod is that weapon skins from the CC work with it. In my Enclave modded playthrough, I've been using the plasmagun with the Enclave skin and it looks really good.
As much as I love every bit of this mod, it does something not many mod overhauls will even touch: Giving some love to the Railroad. Yeah, we all know the RR is just a poor excuse for a faction, which is all the more reason they need some modding community attention. Heck they don't even really have a proper overhaul yet. Not near as extensive as the other factions have gotten, anyway. It's just nice to see them get some love every once in a while.
This is awesome, loving the ideas of this mod. Not only does it include an awesome feature to not let people easily steal their technology (reminds me of the way Judge Dredd had his guns have a failsafe if taken by someone else), but it features an ability for more than the Institute to wield it via different means. The Institute would definitely make sure they don't arm above-ground wastelanders too easily, but those with the right tools and know-how can jury-rig these tools to use them for their own arsenal. Very noice. Gonna download asap to put it in my current assortment, will also endorse as I love these ideas. Thanks for covering this, Dak! 😁
This will be nice for an institute playthrough or a railroad. I might finally be able to make a terminator inspired institute where the sole survivor will fight with the railroad like the rebellion against the institute with their own weapons
Combining this with Dak's attachment pack and the heap of other mods that I've been collecting these past few months, my next playthrough is going to be great.
I've been waiting to start a new game for your upcoming attachment pack. A lot of other great new stuff has been coming in the meantime. I was downloading some of Mikalov's new Institute weapons as they were released. I tend to prefer weapon packs from an author when they make them available, but I wanted to see a review of this mod before committing to it. Thanks for this review! Dumping the few individual weapons I got from Mica and loading this pack will shorten my load a little. Still got some mod tweaking and updating to do before I'm ready to start a new game. micalov has individual mods for each weapon but I believe some of them don’t actually modify the institute arsenal, and are just crafted at chem benches.

Imagine if there was a mechanic where if you picked up a bio locked weapon the game ran a luck check, and if you're lucky enough the bio scanner might malfunction and you get a perfectly usable gun. This of course being affected by your luck level.
When you side with the Institute, the Directorate asks if they should focus on weapons research or Synth tech research. This mod seems like a logical progression if the player were to have them focus on weapons
This mod alone makes me want to craft an Institute modlist and an Institute focused playthrough!! I never joined the Institute before, feeling the faction was heavily lackluster, but that mod paired with other overhaul mods definitely would make them worth joining!

One of the pistols looks like the Star Trek 6 assault phaser which there is a mod to get in FO4. Also just for reference where are the books for the institute and jury-rigged weapons.
I just finished an institute playthrough with this mod on Xbox series s and it was 90% fantastic. For some reason the smg had broken animations, and was unusable, NPCs held it like a baseball bat. The level four weapons never appeared in game and I can't craft any of them without finding it in the world, so that sucked. Been trying to report that to micalov without luck, all in all this is a great mod, just a few issues with the console port.
"Favourite Institute armour mods..." I would love to have some suggestions for Institute armour mods, especially replacers. I really don't like synth armour, but I can't find good mods to fix it. I've searched through the Nexus as well as your past videos but I'm coming up empty handed.
How compatible is the mod with Mankind: Redefined? It's a minor Institute overhaul I've been running for a long time that improves things like Coursers, making them an actual threat with their own unique weapon. It also changes the Institute Laser into the Blazer: firing blue bolts that do both physical and energy damage like a plasma weapon. In any case, I've been waiting for this pack since the first individual weapon mods: the Institute needs this boost in variety and with the Plasrail and LAER mods I already have, they'll be a force to be reckoned with. I love the jury rigging system as well: perfect for my Scientist characters to really put their know how to the test in order to play with these new high tech toys.
3:41 makes sense that the BoS would try to decrypt the scanners so they could use them themselves (as they are superior to the pre-war laser weapons). So I can see higher ranking BoS members using repainted captured Institute weapons.
This is what we should have gotten if we picked the Advanced Weapons Development option in the Institute quest line. The other option would have given us souped up Courser reinforcements from those Synth Teleport grenades.
3 out of 4 factions use lasers weaponry so its good that this makes the institute's weaponry not look ugly and clunky, now it's BoS: normal Minutemen:handmade Institute: professionally made sci-fi
I find the melee options most interesting. Since it means Synths can now use a Institute melee weapon, instead of the Stun Baton. The Stun Baton bothers me because of how jury rigged it looks. The Field Knife is basically just a reskinned Combat Knife, something the developers could have made themselves, to give some visual flair to the factions, even if they are functionally identical. The knuckles are also a much needed fist weapon, too few of those. If only Power Armour didn't block their use.
Now i need to say this because i had no idea before i saw it. We. Need. Weapons. From. Fallout 76. The amount of amazing weapons that are in that game feels like a crime that they haven't been ported to Fallout 4.
This is what the institute should have had, this is meant to be a faction continuing technology since the bombs and they should have invented a few more weapons then just a few variants of old laser rifles

Didn't know where to slot in this comment, but if you want a better submachine gun than the games Thompson clone. Take an assault rifle, make it automatic, fit a short barrel, a full stock and the largest magazine. now rename to the 'Combat SMG'. You now have a decent SMG using game assets.
This is a dope mod, I only wish there was a full port to Xbox, I realize it would be a pretty big mod for console, but even just ports of each of the individual weapons or even just the base institute weapons would be really cool! That being said I'm grateful for the ones that have been individually released for Xbox already, make a great addition to my institute playthrough! Props to Micalov.
Hope you can help me with something. I am trying to identify a font for certain letters. In FO76 would you have any idea what is the name of the font used in the neon letters (Plan: Signs and letters), since 76 uses a lot of assets from 4 I hope you can help me to identify it. I have a screenshot of the letters and have used sites that help you identify fonts from pictures but so far I have been unsuccessful.
Super cool mod. Biggest drawback is that now you need mods to make the other factions' weapon lists as varied.

As a Railroad Alpha agent, I must said. I'm impressed, Good Overhaul Mod.

the unique pen can be modified to do poison ink and radiactive ink so can be quite nasty
