I’ve never been so anxious to get home and go start to the slog before. Great build. Did you use a mod to spawn those ghouls? I’ve never seen that large of a collection
Loving these builds. I too add narratives to the settlements I create. It helps give direction and personal lore to the roleplaying. Bethesda should hire you to design settlements in future games. You do a lot with what they give you, it'd he awesome to see what you could do unrestricted. Keep up the good work and thanks for keeping us nerds entertained. You earned a subscriber.
Nice work. Agree on the T-51 version of power armor. For me, I think it's because that's the version that was in Fallout 1 & 2, so it's a nice reference back to the originals.
Brilliant! Love the build. The lighting at night is lovely. I know how you feel those beds! I just recently unlocked the slog and I was devastated by how little can be scrapped or moved. Leaving things crooked is maddening!
Amazing as always! I love how you repurposed the bathroom stalls. I’ve never thought about that. And keeping the original fences around the pool definitely adds to the vibe.
I've loved building here for years, and I've been enjoying learning new techniques from you. I pre-ordered FO4 with my roommate and never knew about ANY glitches until the TV series made all the Fallout YT channels go boom 🤦 Your Red Rocket build is almost exactly the same as my staple build for it, but it looks way cleaner with all the glitches.
I just started watching your vids a few months ago. I do build a little, but not as well as some of you youtubers do. Three things I love about your videos: the simplicity (techniques, mechanics, and aesthetics); the fighting scenes of invaders, and the drab - erm no - the juxtaposition (sometimes)... whats the word... surrealism effect.
I'm usually not the type to comment on videos but I really just wanted to say that I absolutely love watching your settlement builds. You've got such a talent for knowing exactly how to make the best use of every single area and even make it look easy. So glad I bumped into your profile, this is the content I am here for!
I've been playing F4 since it was released on and off but i've never been one for massive in depth builds until recently, Really need to learn all the tricks like the rug glitch you spoke off. Anyway this looked amazing nice one 👍
The building and details here are brilliant! Then after halfway through the video I'm over here thinking "my God that guy's home setting is so clean and organized!!!" 😍 Bravo, love it
Loved this build and your tour! You should be so proud of what you’ve created here it’s really special and I hope you’re as excited by it as we are to be able to watch it.
Discovered this channel from youtube suggested for someone doing a survival building playthrough. I love fallout 4 and enjoy keeping it as vanilla as possible and enjoy building but never learned about the building glitches. Your channel is exactly what I needed to get inspiration and knowledge on how to build without having to research it. Thank you
Im looking to get back into gaming and streaming, especially fallout 4. Your combo of detail of instruction without it being boring in top of details on what you do and how to do it... you are amazing. I got a lot of inspiration in this video. I cant wait until i get a series x and start streaming. You make fallout 4 feel new again
Pretty cool settlement. I love that building tension through spawning ferals. Music was perfect also. Just a little hint about extending floors on top of the main building, concrete floors clip through those 4 iron ventilation chimneys. But did something a little different. I put, like you, floors on the centre but I put only one and more on top until I reach the level of those vents. After that I delete all but the last one and complete the floor. I use iron post to tie it with the rest of the building. I extended to a panel length and put concrete pillars grouped in four to give the filling of resistance and I raised five more levels. On the last one I put turrets, having visibility far beyond the village border. I like the vanilla look of the game. Sometimes I forget how it looks like. My FO4 is heavily modded (270+). Edit: needless to say, you have one more subscriber.
I've been looking forward to the slog, awesome build! Your builds always look like they belong in the world, I'm glad I found your channel a few weeks ago! :)
I want to make a drinking game for every time he says "scrappy" in a video! :D I'm teasing of course - I love your settlements and find these vids to be helpful.
Your use of the scaffolding in your videos are amazing. I would have never thought to use those. Crazy as this may sound, this would be the reason I play this again. 😁
I spent a lot of time working on the Slog, I decided to lean into the whole "repurposed leisure centre" look, with outhouses as changing rooms, and a snacks stall and the main room getting a pool table. They gave away the beach creation club stuff for free recently which helped. Gave them a wall, brahmin, dig and robot. And LOTS of turrets and guns. I made them a washing area in a box car too.
Very nice build. I quite like it. I think it was very creative. The only thing I would have suggested is using the Glass Warehouse pieces to make a greenhouse on top if you were going to turn it into the farm.
I have a similar build, well starter build. I did left the crops Luke they were and just fixed the fences. I kinda left the chain link fences and just fixed the bigger holes and began closing it around the playground since it has a unique and overall a full playground, not like the one in Sanctuary, I’m still building it but nice build overall!
interesting how different people do different things, i just put a wall around each settlement i can, including this one, nice conrete foundations (the one with brick work visible) at least one level all around, and one powered gate with lots of defenses, it always works, settlement is safe, gate is closed when im not there, its always safe
What a quality creation here bud, love how emersed you get into the game, reminds me of me 😂 my favourite power armour is actually raider power armour funnily enough! I think it looks so cool being big and bulky and a bit rusty also love the welding visor as the helmet with the caging around it too
Brother, you got my sub with this video. You're an amazing architect. I'd like to suggest checking out Skooled Zone, I've been watching him for years and you guys would make an awesome calab, hint, hint. An observation, the tarberries in the pots, you could just pretend there's water they're bobbin' on. I love mods too mutch to fool with vanilla, but you guys are so great and imaginative that I love watching. Thanks for everything. ✌🏼 Edit: just saw your loo/kitchen.😅 I can't imagine...... It's like a recycling factory!!🤣 I'd give you another 👍🏻if I could,T51 for the win!!💪🏼 Best damn looking power armour especially because of the helmet and shoulders.
Damn bro that is impressive! I've seen a lot of Fallout builds and built a lot myself but your build fits in like Bethesda made it themselves as part of the game. Liked and subbed
Keep grinding bro, ive seen that ur channel has been popping off recently and im very glad i stumbled upon ur channel. Cant wait to see where you are by the end of the year
Nice job. I think it's all a valid improvement. As for power armor, I like the X02 because I paint it purple and it's added insult to injury to the Enclave.
My favorite power armor is the T51 as well. I used it extensively especially in the glowing sea. Since the repair cost for the armor is the most reasonable given the overall protection provided. I mainly play survival so being able to easily repair and upgrade the armor in the field is important.
The slog is one of my favourite settlements and have built a whole junk wall around it, with plenty of firepower, I feel the ghouls need protecting. Loved the invasion of ghouls which probably you instigated 😅 would have taken hours to clear those bodies 😂 great work!
This is great work. The Slog is one of my favorites, too. I like the "square" settlements, or at least the ones that don't have crazy angles that make it difficult to connect walls properly.
I get so many great ideas from you. My own builds have taken a big step forward because of your examples. The techniques you share are master-class worthy. Yet even those pale when sided next to the stories you build into the settlements. You have transcended Fallout 4 building into high art. Yeah, it sounded a bit over the top to me, too. Still, I'm a huge fan.
Did something like this only I left the farm where it was (there are animations still there you can't remove & they'll farm nothing if they can get over there and it causes pathing issues. Basically I have an outer gate and an inner gate and a place where people can do trading and treat that area as the main entrance and the pool house as a separate entrance. It was pretty cool. Had a bar called The Geiger Tavern with a trading post attached to it and a small area for rooms to be rented. Like the build! The Slog is one of my favorite places... wish we could've had a super mutant settlement with more stuff for them as well as the Ghouls. Honestly would love a Fallout game where you can join the mutants (ghouls and Super Mutants) in a story or just a city with nothing but Super Mutants and Ghouls that you can help.
Looks great. My slog has turrets on the roof and on the steps outside to keep out the deathclaws, forged and enclave troopers. I also built a fortified gatehouse with a guard post and 4 turrets at the edge of the settlement where the raiders attack from
First of all, I like the fact it's a 'No-Mod' build. I like this settlement build, nice and compact. I like the on-the-roof garden, I never thought about doing that. I just used the existing garden location - why mess with it. That's great that you kept the walls along the perimeter of the pool considering the enemy spawn points are during a settlement attack. I like the X-01 the most. Maybe someday I'll post a walkthrough of my Man-Cave at Vault 88.
I do wish the settlement extended a bit farther. I'd love to have the diner or even the driving range included. ( I have no idea what I'd use the range for, but i love the idea of setting up a "chain restaurant" and having a couple of diners to build in would be perfect)
one thing i dont really like about fallout 4 is it focuses so much on settlement building right, but no matter how many extra pieces of stuff they add i can never figure out how to fill up space in an area and i dont know or like using mods, so there's never as much decoration as i want even when i actually make it look good. it just needs more clutter and stuff to fill up space and i wish you could actually DO something with your monument instead of "settler sit. settler bang on wall. settler do crops. settler sleep."
I see great minds think alike, I’ve always worked places like slog up and make it defensive and also highly livable. I also made a lockdown system so all the doors, and gates closed and lock up until the raid is finished
The Slog is a rectangle with 90 degree corners. It's possible with just Shack Foundation (43) (Concrete block) and Shack Wall (60) (vertical slats) to build a very clean and unbroken stockade fence along the perimeter with towers. I never use gates anymore though, I always leave a single block opening in a wall and make it into a kill zone with a lot of turrets. Since nothing will go over and/or break down the walls, and the only access is that opening you actually don't need corner towers and turrets on those towers if you don't want to, just in the kill zone. It would be different if the game had deformable terrain where enemies and/or large creatures could actually break down a wall.
to be honest not bad, I would slap something in front of the main door, anything a bit defensive, as it goes directly to living area, I feel like it would need a bit more than that. also I find the brahmin traders going though there a bit of a eyesore, so I would suggest the square on ground that you have left outside of the walls, near pool, and make it a tiered door of sort. 2 pairs of doors, external and internal, meant as main defensive door. (and one currently used as main, becomes backup exit, most likely locked tight most of the time). 2 flame turrers at the bottom, 3-4 laser above, (as the guy works on laser turrer there, for their own defense) in general a killzone. 22:25 a chair maybe, and small roof. I assume someone sits on top, on watch, so a siren, chair, cigaretes, binoculars. I like the 20:55 hole, but if I steal it, I would add the building to extend a bit with balcony over the front door, and again , chair binoculars. If anyone will be in front of the main door, he talks to the guy above, who can go to the hole in the roof you made, and scream down for someone to open the door for him. using those narrow passages you borded up ~ 2:25 would work nicely, hiding insides of the building from sniper fire though the balcony.
Building up the settlements the best part of this game. Been playing for years. Really breaks my heart that it freezes so much and Bethesda won t do a damn thing to fix it. I liked the T-51 ever since Fallout 3.
I noticed you used the weapon glitch to increase your settlement budget. In case you didn't already know (and you didn't use them so you may not), *modded gamma guns* are far and away the best items to use for that glitch; something about their triangle count is so much higher than any other guns, it's really quite remarkable. Try it yourself!
Hey, i just stumbled across your channel, love the builds, the stories, the scrappyness, the decorations, are spot on, i get ya with your OCD, i had a few problems with it in on my builds in the past, 😂 it makes me want to build again 😊 keep it up! Theres a few great areas i built on that would make a perfect spot for your next build! New sub! 👍
Amazing build. I didn't know about the exploit to reduce the settlement size by dropping and storing weapons; I always just used mods to boost the cap. Also one thing that I noticed: it's not pronounced "mutt-fruit" it's pronounced "mute-fruit" cuz it's a "mutated" fruit.
Interesting, this game is almost 9 years old and I had no idea about the settlement budget trick. I wish I knew that back when I played on the ps4. Awesome build
I love how in this game you build an impregnable fortress, with major fortifications to protect your settlers and most of all in the case of the slog the bartering npcs. All for there to be an attack and your bartering npcs to leave the fortifications and attack head on a large number of high level super mutants(atleast one of which has a missle launcher)..... Its really fun when that happens. Dierdra of the slog tried to fight 10 super mutants on her own with a pipe pistol. Dierdra didnt make it.
Even more annoying about the unscrappable/unmoveable beds? The ones that are together in the first room cannot be used because they're too close to each other and the wall, as I discovered when one poor unnamed ghoul was the only bloke who couldn't sleep because he couldn't get to the beds. I dropped another bed, of course, but JFC Todd. Sometimes, it just _doesn't_ work. Stealing your top building idea--less scrappy for me (I'll just get them some security and more stuffs) but I'm going to give them a skylight, dammit. :D "I am busy do not talk to me." I laughed. Yep. Love it.
At croup manor, if you don't go behind the building while clearing the location one of the ghouls will stay un aggroed and will stand there passively for all time. I'm interested to see what you can do with this knowledge!
It's fun challenging myself to stick with Vanilla for crafting and settlement building. But one mod that I have to have for my own anxiety-reducing reasons is Scrap Scrap. I don't use it to remove anything other than debris that I don't think have any reason being non-removable. Like piles of detritus and garbage on the ground. I like being able to use it to clean up Sanctuary's streets to make it feel like people have actually moved in and started returning it to some semblance of being actively lived in.
Adding cinematic is a nice touch, I think raiders will be better, but then again if they were that may the settlers would be lying on the ground faster than you can blink.
Really like your videos, great ideas. I really liked the roof set, very innovative. The glass roofs from the warehouse might be good for a green house if you can glitch them in? Also, I have never, ever, seen that many ghouls, the only thing close is that CC content that causes attacks? Keep at it!
"we`ll get though this! stay calm"
"RRRAAAAGGGHHHH!!!!!"
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh
that zombie assault was so epic
Raagh guy was annoying as hell. The rest was cool tho.
@@psyedkerrrm they’re ghouls 🤓

So freaking GLAD the Fallout 4 settlement building videos are still alive
Worth the wait to watch the most talented real estate developer in the Commonwealth 💪
Love the bird noises in the back it makes the whole video so calming
Of all the enemies that attack the Slog, I've never had a horde of ghouls like this
especially cus it's... y'know, inhabited exclusively by fellow ghouls

Cheers mate! Much appreciated ❤️
You have taken settlement building to a sculpting level. This series every settlement has been a work of art. Thank you for your amazing talent!
Nice work. Agree on the T-51 version of power armor. For me, I think it's because that's the version that was in Fallout 1 & 2, so it's a nice reference back to the originals.
Yeah, if you pick your Power Armor on looks. I pick mine on function. I use armor to protect my fragile skin, not to look pretty.
I clicked so fast I didn't realize it was on premier. . . .
Oh dang, so did I! I was just there and complaining about my own setup.
Same😂😂
That kitchen/toilet situation tho. No health codes in the wasteland 😂
Adds flavour
Oh noes! The ghouls might get sick! 😂
@@BinkyTheElf1 Good point well made actually 😅

Awesome Build, Love the added deco details
Building up the settlements the best part of this game. Been playing for years. Really breaks my heart that it freezes so much and Bethesda won t do a damn thing to fix it.
I liked the T-51 ever since Fallout 3.
I noticed you used the weapon glitch to increase your settlement budget. In case you didn't already know (and you didn't use them so you may not), *modded gamma guns* are far and away the best items to use for that glitch; something about their triangle count is so much higher than any other guns, it's really quite remarkable. Try it yourself!
Amazing job. The Ghoul invasion was a nice addtion ^.^
The Slog is one of my favorite settlements. I love the ghouls there. ❤ I always go overboard with making them as secure and defended as possible.
This has got to be one of your best builds.
"I am busy do not talk to me." I laughed. Yep. Love it.
thanks for the build, i feel like i learned how to build 3x better now as well as feeling inspired 👍
I’m addicted to these videos and I hardly play fallout 4 anymore
I love these videos! Good work. I'd like to suggest Outpost Zimonja. It's a bit of a weird one.
Love the english bird songs in the background
Good job, it certainly makes an otherwise boring location look far more intriguing.
Adding cinematic is a nice touch, I think raiders will be better, but then again if they were that may the settlers would be lying on the ground faster than you can blink.
I love the slog! Always one of my faves to build up! 🥰
Really like your videos, great ideas. I really liked the roof set, very innovative. The glass roofs from the warehouse might be good for a green house if you can glitch them in? Also, I have never, ever, seen that many ghouls, the only thing close is that CC content that causes attacks? Keep at it!
