@@user-qw6bd1vd4pVery interesting, thank you for sharing. For context, in English I think we are saying MUT fruit as in a shortening of MUTANT fruit. Like a mutated fruit. Although most of their crops are mutated so I’m not quite sure why they singled that one out.
Pro tip, first floor, empty square room on the right (with a broken wall) - you can actually fit Vault 2x2 room in there perfectly with a functioning Vault door. I think of it as a panic room for railroad people.
I am a recent subscriber; I went a more tradition route and rebuilt the interior floor by floor with warehouse floors and barn walls on interior and exterior. I used a concrete pillar and slid the entire thing in the building. I love this though, well done. Hint for anyone who wants to remove the bodies and doesn't have mods. Carry them to another zone, Kingsport, Coastal Cottage, Greentop Nursery. Walk back to Croup and stay near were you removed the body, for several game days. It takes patience, but they won't respawn. Don't take them all to the same place, that sometimes causes a respawn. Also, the ghoul hanging through the rafters can be lifted straight up and carried away. I hope this helps anyone having issues. PS5 player here.
I've watched quite a few of your videos and all of them are really well thought out, and great attention to detail. Thanks also for explaining some useful tips as it really helps me out and a amusing fist fight in this episode, You go Rocky ! Nice work Shawzoo.
its a work of art! i remember playing back at release and spending days trying to fix croup manor and ending up giving up in frustration. you did such an amazing job it looks so natural!❤
Whenever I feel proud of my build, you come along and knock it out of the park …you have given me lots of ideas though 👍 The attention to little details is pretty cool
I dont have the patience to do this in game, but I enjoy watching videos about it. This is the wasteland I want. I kinda wish settlements automatically fixes itself overtime when you have it cleared and settled so theres a sense of progression/development in the world
Wow... I'm stunned once again by your creativity. My favorite trick this video was rebuilding the porch column. Its hard to pick a favorite creative example because there are so many, but I think I vote for the car bed. Pure brilliance!
A tip for budget, if you drop weapons that are heavily modified, they reduce the budget by much more than the basic versions. So keep around some weapons that have scope, receiver, barrel, and other mods on them for the best bang for you settlement budget reductions.
Just came across your videos recently and binged all your builds. I really love what you're doing with the builds. One of my favourite things about watching these types of videos is the rp/lore people make for their builds. It's been super inspiring, so I'm onto yet another playthrough to do an entirely Commonwealth overhaul. Keep it up!
As always, this was a very thoughtful and creative build. I never thought about using Croup as a Minuteman training outpost, but it actually makes a ton of sense given its isolated location: minimal fortification, a single large building, self-contained food source, etc. It sort of lends itself to a support role, as opposed to something like Coastal Cottage, which I usually make a sort of forward base for potential Northeastern threats. I'd be interested to see what you'd do with something unique like Kingsport, (or a real pain in the ass like Sunshine Tidings or Somerville Place,) but I'll be looking forward to your next settlement video wherever it might turn out to be.
Great build as always mate, with your attention to detail and time just awesome. Great back story with the basement, but I remember there was a glowing one down there, would have been a good fist fight lol!!
I think this is my favorite build of yours. It really sucks that they can't use the elevator, it looks so cool but I'm stealing this idea and going to just use a stair case I guess. Love it
You're creations in fallout are beautyfull and becuse of the glitches i learned from you're videos all of my fallout setlements are so much better looking, thank you👍
That's a pretty neat house. I don't have the patience building much beyond the pure need, not even in my current playthrough where I'm going for the minute man ending and want to turn the commonwealth into a minutman empire. But I'm always fascinated at what others are able to create with the unmodded game, absolutely spectacular! Btw, I always called it a mud-fruit too. I've heard it called a mute-fruit, sure, and haven't thourght more about it. But I have always called it a mud-fruit, and that's what I'm going to keep calling it. People want to say mute-fruit, they ca, I'm not going to 'correct' them. People get angry or spend energy on wanting to correct me because I sat mud-fruit - I just cannot be bothered.
This is amazing!! All of your additions and decoration were so smart and interesting. It all really fit the fallout style. This was my favorite build yet!
Great Job! Ive recently picked up the game again and altho i previously fixed up these houses (Jamacia plains was my favourite) you have taken it to the next level! I really CBA to fill my places with junk, but after seeing your vids, its a definate must!
I really enjoy your FO4 settlement build videos. I like how you incorporate the junk and cars etc. around the settlements into your builds, instead of just scrapping everything (like I usually do :P). I would like to see how you fix up the house in Tenpines Bluff.
another funny and creative cinematic! Your builds are structurally simple, making them easy to follow, while your decorations are highly creative and well-thought out. Too tedious for me to replicate, but I enjoy seeing the possibilities. Keep them coming!
I’m actually not a fan of junky builds but yours are just different. The dedication, the innovation, the practical use of damned near everything… You do great work! Subbed! 👍🏾✌🏾👊🏽
Such an amazing build mate. These videos have inspired me to make a fresh play through with no mods and try out the techniques you employ. Looking forward to the next video, cheers!
I will be absolutely copying this. I got a lot of inspiration by your red rocket build and it's by far my favorite settlement i ever made. the Slog is next, then this one. You have given me a new addiction, thank you!
Great Build, i love the green house and the porch roof! You make me want to get creative with my builds :D Also after watching your videos I tried using the pillar glitch myself and its such a game changer with building ^^
I always love seeing how you work around the frankly awful limitations the building mode has in this game. and its all stuff that has never been fixed despite how many workshop dlcs. Im always astounded how they never added in a free build mode, even as more broken dlc.
There’s room for an outhouse in the front yard. You could probably squeeze it against the structure of the main house too. Although maybe going out for everyone to see can become a bonding exercise for the trainees at Croup Manor lol. Super inspiring build brother. Thanks for sharing.
2:20 I've been playing since 2015 and that wall with the blue plywood bit has always been notorious for not letting things snap. Shame they never patched it. 15:15 You'd be surprised how many people I've heard use the term "mutt" fruit instead of "mute" fruit. You are most certainly not alone. Nice job on this build.
I'm definitely going use this build as a guide for my own game never once thought of using the ol pillar glitch for fixing up houses, I only used it for junk fences! I'm also mildly embarrassed that I too have said mutt fruit for almost 10 years now lol , Anywho love your videos man. Cheers.
I got no patients or creativity to bother with the settlement building system of Fallout 4. I've just been playing it like any other Fallout game and just do quests, explore and loot stuff. I will only set up food, water and defense and pretty much ignore the settlement forever. Always amazing to see players in the Fallout 4 community who focus on the settlement system and are able to build amazing bases.
Another quality build as per usual; I do have a recommendation though. With the top greenhouse I think it would have looked cool with bathtubs and tables use for the food. If you get a mat, and put half of it over another then pillar glitch into the bath, then do the same pillar glitch with food makes a settlement feel more “natural” I feel over the planters. Even though you’d think 200yrs plus after the bombs civilization would have advances some what
Very nice. If you use the ceiling and floor combo piece in place of one of the roof top pieces in the room you rebuilt, you can have floors above where you could snap the railings to instead of having to put them in manually. Minor detail though.
croup man or was always such a challenge for me because of how run down it was. I ended up turning it into a raider camp where the leaders of the raider gangs would stay when they visit the commonwealth
You should do Vault 88 as a special series. Vault 88 is my Achilles’ heel. The vault structure is a beast to work with. I always end up just turning it into a Hangman’s Alley kind of layout.

I always loved rebuilding Croup Manor, definitely a home away from home. This is a fantastic build and out of context you would think it was a a typical settlement you come across in-game. Curious to see what you come up with for The Castle, if a build like that is on the cards.
This is the place I made into my main base in Fo4 but I had enemies spawn INSIDE the building area and traders having a really hard time walking into a gate and getting stuck in it over and over. The location was just cursed.
Brilliant build! I love watching you work your magic. Don’t worry about pronunciation so much. I’ve always known it was mute fruit but call them mutt fruit instead. I just like mutt fruit better.

Funny thing is that I think this house doesn't have a bathroom at all. Unless it was in the basement. I guess that'd explain why it flooded as it did post-war. Although, knowing the game devs, they likely either forgot or just couldn't fit one in.
Shawzzo, Tato's in Fallout are a mutated hybrid of Potato's and Tomato's, there's an entry in a Botany Terminal aboard The Prydwen that explains this: "According to some old botany texts we found, this appears to be combination of a now extinct plant called a 'potato' and another extinct plant called a 'tomato'." Excellent build, man! The car bed area in particular is a stroke of genius, and rigging the light to the motorcycle is utterly brilliant
absolute ...
was gonna comment the same. ingenious stuff.
not one sane person would dare to scrap the motorcycle by the side of the house
@@azzaqirin funny thing is I prepped that whole site about 2 years ago 😂...everything was scrapped basically except that bike 😃

The car shelter was a stroke of genius, I have got to include that in my builds
