This will usually get your games working but if your game is multi-session (i.e. has separate music tracks) there wont be any background music. Basically for each music track you need to tell the emulator where inside the .bin file each track starts, so it'll look something like this: FILE "Assault Rigs (USA) (Track 01) [SCUS-94405].bin" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE2/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00 TRACK 02 AUDIO
-*-* THAT PEOPLE ***--- That have the problem of the multiple Bin files of one game. This is the solution... Make one for each one file in the unique cue file equals this: FILE "Small Soldiers (USA) (Track 01).bin" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE2/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00 FILE "Small Soldiers (USA) (Track 02).bin" BINARY TRACK 02 AUDIO INDEX 00 00:00:00 INDEX 01 00:02:00 FILE "Small Soldiers (USA) (Track 03).bin" BINARY TRACK 03 AUDIO INDEX 00 00:00:00 INDEX 01 00:02:00 FILE "Small Soldiers (USA) (Track 04).bin" BINARY TRACK 04 AUDIO INDEX 00 00:00:00 INDEX 01 00:02:00 FILE "Small Soldiers (USA) (Track 05).bin" BINARY TRACK 05 AUDIO INDEX 00 00:00:00 INDEX 01 00:02:00 FILE "Small Soldiers (USA) (Track 06).bin" BINARY TRACK 06 AUDIO INDEX 00 00:00:00 INDEX 01 00:02:00 I guess this help you!
No way that works! Can't be that simple... *edit, it works, thanks. I couldn't figure out how to make one before... You earned a sub, I'll have to check out your other videos
Love your videos make things so simple an easy thank you I was looking at ways to make Bin Cue files for my raspberry pi. Changed. Iso or Img files to .Bin Then did this lol took seconds I don't expect it to work for multi track ones but works a treat for the ones I need thank you so much.
What should I do for multi track bin files of a game ? Do Exactly same or some changes ?? My game's bin files names are :- Brian Lara Cricket (Europe) (Track 1).bin Brian Lara Cricket (Europe) (Track 2).bin I don't have cue file for this game. What should I do ???
To build a cue file from scratch do I have to type "TRACK 01 MODE1/2352" in the second line as you've written in the description? The cue file you show as an example in the video has "TRACK 01 MODE2/2352"--a little discrepancy between the two but with these files you usually have to be exact. Thanks
Please don't tell me you just gutted an original Playstation and put a Pi in. If you did and did not throw away the original parts then I'm fine with that though!
Wanted to add, I was trying to use retroarch with some bin files I had acquired. The original fix I was told, was to create cue files for my bin files. That is how I found this video. Since then, I wanted to report that if you are not able to detect the files, it is due to file system permissions. You must first run retroarch as admin in windows or as suroot in linux. Then download your cores and load your content. Enjoy!
Normal cue files contain FILE "filename.bin" but for it to work with beetle psx on android I needed FILE="filename.bin". You need = after FILE not a space
Doing it all play by play how you explained. It's always saving as a txt file for me. I found a workaround though. If you save your file type as anything but a text file you can rename your file extension. I just typed in cue instead. I guess you could show your extensions in hidden files and stuff and do it that way too.
I tried this and it does nothing. Sonic CD JP works just fine however, Kega Fusion just boots the Sega/Mega CD BIOS and nothing plays. This isn't working. How do I really make a CUE file from the Doom Resurrection 2.2b.bin file I created from xdelta UI?
I messed up... misunderstood the process (from another video), and made a bin type "open with" and chose notepad, now my bin formats are notepad, they don't work. Any idea how to turn them back to the default opening program for a bin file?
Very smart! This looks to be the answer but I'm not going to do this 1000x for all the PSX games. I just wish there was a place I could get .CUE ROMs from :(
I agree with everyone, thank you for making this video and showing us how to do it going over it several of times. That helped me a lot. Thank you! Keep up the good work!!
I just downloaded Pepsi man and i have an iso file and a cue file what should i do with it? i know i should put the iso in the PSXISO file but what about the cue thing?
Hey Prime.. Any chance of doing a video explaining multi-track psx games.. tried adding Fighting Force to my Retropie but the sound is all messed up.. Thanks

I burned a bin image of a PSX game. Boot sequence loads with PlayStation logo fine and then it hangs at black screen. Is it because of burning it without cue file?
Does it work for multi-disc PS1 games that require in-game swap?,for example i would like to play a PS1 game called "Heart of Darkness"on my PS3 that is divided into 2 discs(in my case 2 isos)and there is a .cue file, but when i complete the first disc it asks me to insert the second disc and press start to continue the game, unfortunately It doesn't allow me to continue it by just exiting the game and mount the disc 2 iso, could this method work?
Well idk wtf I'm doing wrong because it worked for MGS 1, but when I did it for Tony Hawks Pro Skater it didn't work. What do you think it is man? I could really use your help. Hope you reply. 😢
i keep getting this error "Count of cue files doesn't match discs parameter in Game.ini." after setting up the cues correctly for the command & conquer games (retaliation, Red alert, and the OG) as well as Bug Bunny Lost in time and they each have only one cue file. how can I fix this so I can generate my database?
Good video. Making it a little more work then need be. when you copy the game name copy the .bin too the just past the it into the cue file when editing done. Or one better just click this link redump.org/downloads and download a zip file that has cue files for all psx roms and all other consoles that use them
your video fixed parasite eve 2 disc 2 cue file problem i have tried over 15 different risky rom sites and none worked your way did you should make a video on how to do that for pe 2 ps1 it will get hits
so if I have renamed the Bin and Cue files but not gone into the Cue file does that Cue file not work? because in the file it would still be labeled as the original name. I was not aware of this if this happens, oops...
Hope someone can help. I opened the .bin file into wordpad instead of notepad, which wasnt what i wanted. However now its stuck in wordpad everytime i open the bio again, how do you change it back to selecting how you want to open the file?
After adding my cue file, My files too big to make (bin+cue) into an image again .bin/iso..arg!! My ISO program has a 700mb limit. bin + cue = 715mb.. doesnt make sense if cue file is so small.. what am I doing wrong ?! Been trying for days to make sense of this.
I have all the files i need ( bin and cue ) but i can't seem to run the game ! At this point I'm a bit lost...the emulator I'm using is pscx...help please :(
There's a typo in the code you put in the description. It says MODE1 there. Thanks for the explaination, but what an annoyingly long and dragged out video for something that could be shown and explained in 30 seconds.
muy bueno e video, pero tengo una consulta con una copia del mgs cd2 con el epsxe se queda la pantalla en negro y con el psxfin 1.13 tira el error "read sector out of range" que podra ser? gracias

prop crazy that thing doesn't work. I try dragging the file into the UNecm, and it doesn't work. And I can't figure how to assign the terminal to the services tab so I can open it manually in the file location. Any ideas?
you get a .rar file called ecm tools from Emuparadise, once its done downloading you open it and you will see some icons, the one that you need is the "unecm.exe" program, drag and drop your ecm files on the unecm program and it will turn them into .bin files. Good Luck!

Should I put it as 00:02:00, or the actual lengths of the tracks?
Little late but you can also merge multipile tracks in the CDMage into one .bin file. Hope this helps.
@@zer0theher030 It's better to use IsoBuster and merge all the tracks into one single .bin file!
Thank you so much. Such a simple thing explained well. Ive been struggling for ages to get games working on ps3.
This is helping me a lot, now my duckstation can read cue file for my other games that cant be played before.
No way that works!

question? how to make a .cue file from many bin files, i have 63.bin files but i do not have .cue
Thank you.
Soon as you said grab a donor cue file I realized where this was going...

Hi! Do you know how join mp3, cue and iso files of a game? Some games came with mp3 files separated from iso or bin files, I need join them.
Is it possible to do that on ES FILE EXPLORER on my firestick? Don't have a home computer nor a laptop....any help would be much appreciated

I burned a bin image of a PSX game. Boot sequence loads with PlayStation logo fine and then it hangs at black screen. Is it because of burning it without cue file?

This method does not work if you have separate .wav files for the music, as the .cue file needs to reference these files.
