How to Combine Multi-Track BIN Files for PS1 Games

- Several PS1 games contain CDDA tracks which might produce multiple .BIN files as opposed to a single .BIN file depending on how the game has been backed up. Using CDMage you can easily take a multi-track PS1 game with multiple .BIN files associated with it and create a new, combined disc image resulting in a single .BIN file.
This video has been made with Fair Use in mind and has been created as an educational piece of media.

This was a lifesaver! However, I was initially stuck since I accidentally downloaded the item on the top of the list rather than 1.02.1 Beta. The "stable" version has no save icon, but the beta worked. After dumping Lemmings 3D it had 24 bin tracks! The first being data and then 23 audio tracks. The problem I've had for a long time was that that most tools I found couldn't combine this many bin tracks together. Even this tool took a while to load them, and even longer to save them, but I was finally able to convert them over so that I could play again on a real console. (My PS2 has a broken disc drive, and POPSTARTER requires a single bin to convert for use)

Does this work on ps1 games on PS3 because I tried playing this game Tekken 3 and it has two bin files and when I played it and finished the arcade it just black screen forever so I had to quit and restart all over again

Thanks for the tutorial! Usually only emulated cartridge games and emulating disc games seemed a little daunting but hopefully this gets me on the right track
PlayStation is a disc system which would make it a disc game, correct?
When I found this method many years ago it was a game changer. Having a tonne of audio files used to drive me nuts. I just installed the xstation a couple months back so this definitely comes in handy 👍

Thanks so much again! Slow, excellent, clear instructions with no skipped steps. It amazes me the number of tutorial videos where the person skips showing a step assuming you know how to do it or b/c "it's self explanatory". (Most of the time I've followed written steps and something went wrong or I got stuck which is why I searched for a visual guide in the 1st place!)
Watching every step helps find where the prompts or file types I'm getting deviate from the video which help troubleshooting. (in this case I was following another vid showing how to convert a Crash Bandicoot .bin file but Rayman on PS1 has 51 (FIFTY-ONE !!) .bin files and I was like, "My screen does NOT look like that guy's.)

Man when I go on long trips with my family (not often) but I bring my psp along with my PlayStation classics on it, I got Gran Turismo 2, for those long endurance races, I have resident evil just for fun, and star ocean one of my personal favorites, amazing storyline and great gameplay, and it's just so plesent having all ps1 games portable, thanks for the work you do Mr Mario, I do very much appreciate it God bless you bro :)

My "Save as.." is greyed out. Trying to make a new .bin of my original Rayman for PS1, which has 52 tracks in total with the 1st track being the MODE2 track. Any suggestions? Love your videos!

Interesting, this really will help, I used to do that with Alcohol 120 by mounting the cue then creating a cue bin from the virtual drive

Hey Mario question i have on my emulator i have to add cue file too with bin file for music to play and in emulator it shows to files is there anyway to add cue file into the single bin file regards Adam.

This fixed all my missing music issues as I do commonly find ps1 bins as separated file dumps fsr... gta is one off hand that I used it for and Lunar 1

what happen when there is 2 bin files & 2 cue files (2 disk on single game disk 1= 1bin & 1 cue + disk 2= 1 bin & 1 cue)

I have recently followed one of your tutorials on how to mod a PS3 and was happy with everything.
I put PS1 games on a thumb drive, they worked great but having 15 "copies" of the same game in the menu is annoying, as it reads all the bin tracks as seperate discs, they run perfectly though.
I will be using this hopefully to change all that

If you're struggling with this get the exact version the beta version also if you have trouble with multi disc's make sure the psxpsp is on the original and not themed this had me stuck for awhile

Hi. I'm trying to get 3D Lemmings to work on my psp. It has 24 Audio tracks. I did the CDmage part correctly, but whenever I try to get it to run it, The Audio/Music Tracks don't seem to play on the main menu like they do on the PS1.
is 3D lemmings, just one of the games where audio doesn't work? :(
Die Hard Trilogy for the PS1 has 21 .bin files which is why I'm here lol. Im trying to get my jailbroken ps3 to run it properly, I think this will do it. Thanks for the help!!!

A properly ripped game should come with a .cue file.
