Okay, I undersand we've had a lot of inflation over the last few years but they didn't even completely renew the car. Look at the interior, the center console, door interior, etc are all pulled right out of the 370z. They charge you practically double the price and can't even update what was already a old car (2009-2022). It's actually quite insulting. I've literally only seen one since it's come out. The sales are going to be even more dogshit than the 370z's were. It's also turbo charged so it's not even a Z anymore. I'd rather them go electric rather than forced induction.

Listen, this isn't my favorite looking car of all time, but compared to almost everything else out there right now, it has so much more character, connection to it's predecessors, and overall thematic consistency. I saw one for the first time the other day, and I felt something that I very rarely feel about brand new cars: deep respect. It's the same feeling I get when I see a 300ZX, or a skyline GTR. This car feels much more grounded in reality than it's peers. It isn't trying to be anything other than exactly what it needs to be, and everything about it reflects that. Bravo to Nissan, they clearly found a way to channel that vintage Nissan passion. I hope to drive one someday.

I have only ever had one laser ticket, and it was over a decade ago in Texas. I'd probably have a couple radar tickets a year, at least, if I weren't using a detector. Love this new Z. No fake vents or any “try hard” all show no go features. The design is simple, modern, yet still iconically a Z with elements of old. It shares the platform with another car but that other car is still a nissan rather than some other manufacturer. And it comes with a manual right off the bat rather than waiting several years after launch to drop in the manual making the people who cashed out for the earlier models feel pranked. I certainly would not have thought nissan would be capable of making a nice sports car after the novelty of the r35 wore off.

I love both companies vehicles for a variety of things, though also hate JDM not designing their own stuff, which happened with the Engine of the BM..err GR Supra and also the new NSX, completely American. Sucks cuz the original was one of my favorite cars, I can even like the hybrid, but it looks like a malgamation of American and European modern super cars, pointy and bland, where the OG NSX was legendary, influenced tho cars but stayed Japanese designed. A voltage gauge is far more important than you may realize. It's typically one I add, especially in a limited use vehicle as you can see at a glance if the battery is topped off, and if the charging system is working properly. Much more telling than a warning light. Having it up and to the middle out of your immediate line of sight is also very handy. Notice they have a boost gauge in the performance screen, as well as water/oil temperature, diff temp, and oil pressure. All much more important "need to know right now" gauges, while the secondary boost gauge, turbine speed, and voltage are secondary but useful. I'd also love for manufacturers to stop "including" navigation. As long as you have car play/android auto, you have navigation. It's also always up to date, and generally better.

A volt meter is the epitome of a useless gauge on a modern car imo. The only useful gauges are fuel and speed. Nothing else is really needed for road driving when the engine is completely computer controlled, including the charging system. A battery can read 12 volts and yet not hold sufficient charge to crank an engine. Or, it can read 11.5 volts and start the engine just fine. Likewise, a weak battery is hidden by the charging system keeping the battery at 13 to 14.4v. In both cases, the volt meter told you nothing of value. The car started up or it didn't! Much more useful on a modern car would be 2 warning lights. 1) Charge system failure and 2) Battery management system detects weak battery. That is all you need to know about the battery/charge system and would make replacement of the battery possible before it leaves you stranded.
