What the Floatater does is that, when you power it with Redstone, it moves. And it can move entire buildings or islands with it. You can actually make a fully functioning, flying End Ship with these things.
Gotta love it when mojang puts more effort into a joke than their actual game….the floatater and grappling potato would be amazing in normal gameplay…

I live in Idaho and can 100% say that this is what it looks like. There is no ground, just a bunch of floating islands over an empty void. Everything is made of potatoes and finding diamonds, gold, and other ores is easy because Idaho is also the gem state.
Ah yes, I remember driving through Idaho once. Navigating over the Voids was terrifying!
Luckily I hate some potae stone to bridge over the void

I don't know why, but as a person learning Spanish as a second language it felt cool to automatically understand it without translation. Sucks that it's not a very good joke, but I'm just kinda happy that my two years of learning haven't been wasted so far.

@@masterdoge987 you could count the biome he's in. Middle grounds between biomes count as both biomes, and no going to a different Y level with your X coordinate staying the "same" (that's a whole other problem)
Hey luke, the 'sweet spot' for monster farms is usually a bit above them because what happens is you unload chunks that would normally be spawning mobs and then leaving it so the only spawnable area is your mob farm. Hope this helps 13:45

This was a blast to watch! Thanks and I hope you're doing well. Also the flotater is a really dope redstone device you can power with a redstone block and use to push large numbers of blocks around-- I'm sure you already know that by now but I just wanted to mention it lol

Whats really Notable is when Luke has no idea whats in store for him. Those videos where Luke fills the noob role are my favorite, and I doubt only I share that opinion.

This is the first 100 days you've plaued where you've died on Hardcore.
Any other playthrough where you died, you weren't on Hardcore, and on a hard ore playthrough, you've never died until this video.
You are a real example of a successful RUclipsr in my opinion, it's been awesome to see you have such entertaining content for literally years and how you're still consistent. You deserve all the success luke, keep doing your thing
You should make a 100 days peaceful. It would be interesting to see how the game changes when mob drops are much less abundant.

Im so happy you made this vid, a lot of these features in this potato update seem to be hints at future developments.
The elytra recipe and the phantom spawning has me suspicious, as well as the gate to an alternate floating island dimension
Very intriguing
My only concern about it is that some of these things will be difficult to implement on Bedrock Edition (Like the potato lash, floatater, and hot potato), so my hopes aren't very high. However, if any of these features roll into the main game, it'd be a fat dub for Mojang.

I whould love to see luke go back and do 100 days in some of the older april fools snapshots like infinity one block at a time 3d shareware maybe even 2.0
I didn't figure this out until like just a few weeks ago but in order to quick trade with the villagers on a single repeatable trade, if you hold shift to take the items from their trade and then press space it auto fills the trade to be processed again.
Then you can just hold shift and keep spamming space + left click to shift click rapid trade until they're maxed out. It's saved me so much time in the long run especially since they're like my main source of exp aside from a monster farm.

Mojang really be putting more effort in their April fools updates than their normal updates. Now that, that is notable
They don't, they just retexture mobs, add a boss maybe, and like an item or some more. Everything is just something but retextured, + no bug testing goes in

Thank you for this video! My birthday is April 1st and I always end up missing the funny updates, and then nobody talks about them or shows gameplay of them and so I never find out what the update was
Damn that sucks not the day you were born that's kinda funny but that no one shows you the update and you just got to miss out on it hell I'm a bedrock player so I barely get anything I was shocked when there was an add on in the shop for the 1st but still not potato dimension so still sucked not even Grappel gun just shitty explosive potatos not awful but still not great

Luke! The ultimate weapon the mace has a fatal flaw. If you try to hit something and miss, the damage you could have dealt to the mob is passed to you. Meaning if you try to hit a mob with the mace at high enough that it would one shot the mob and miss, that's the end. So if you really want to use it, i recommend practicing on copies of your hardcore world and in the real one, only using it at small distances like 5 blocks as to do the damage but not risk dying. Just a little tip for the Tricky Trials update. Stay Notable
Something else worth noting is that you can’t instantly kill the mega spud with the mace because the boss has a damage block just like The King boss from the Orespawn mod.

Hey Luke, idea for another 100 days: 100 Days in Peaceful mode. I know it doesn't sound that crazy, but think about how much no hostile mobs changes things:
No mob farm for EXP.
No raids or zombie villager curing for quick emerald gains.
No gunpowder for elytra rockets.
It doesn't sound like a lot, but half the challenge becomes finding something decently entertaining to *do* without fear of death.
As an Idahoian, this takes me home. I remember the only thing I learned from school was basically this whole video. 😢

the great potato staff you get after killing the potato boss can actually be a really useful tool, since u can spawn portals wherever you want, you can just spawn potato portals on any mob and teleport them out of the potato world, which is pretty fun
