Another way you could have done the always night thing is to set it to midnight and then disable the day cycle. While I haven't tried this, I assume this would lock it to midnight saving you from having to stay in render distance of the command block.
The thing is the command block was in the spawn chunk meaning it'd always be rendered But with your method while more clean you couldn't sleep to pass time like with villager trades and the day counter in the f3 menu wouldn't update

I know I'm very late, but depending on what block the dripstone is on it very well could fall and do a lot of damage. It won't on its own, but if there's sand or gravel or weird cave generation it's definitely a possibility.

I would love to see more of these 100 Days stories and even continue on from those you have left off like the Nether, End, and Badlands biomes. Because to me, they feel like their own little universes in this multiverse of 100 days ("Into the Notableverse", so to speak XD) and they deserve their own love as well. Nevertheless, it is you who started this amazing trend and spawned more incredible people like you, and I will not tell you to do anything else but whatever you like to do.

You may think that I accidentally included audio of me clearing my voice and that this was a mkistake. In reality I cleared my voice before doing this recording and decided to keep the sound in because sometimes art needs to have things like that to remind the viewer that I am a real person who sometimes needs to clear his voice.

Since the last 1000 days, I've graduated, been through some life-changing events, gone through some tough relationships, had a lot of people close to me pass away, I've gained and lost a lot of friends, had my entire mindset altered/shifted multiple times, I've had so many good and bad days since then. I hope I can still be here in time for the next 1000. I joined the army and I leave in 4 days. If you don't have the video out by the time I get out of my year of training...idek
