I want to see deadmau5 perform this live, just once, before i die. Every time i hear this track, no matter how I'm feeling, it chills me out. Every time. Love this guy, love this song. Stay Awesome and Rock On, deadmau5.
Me too, but not in a sad way Just because it's so uplifting and comforting kinda like a celestial force from the stars telling you "it's gonna be okay" when you're having a shit day, week, month, year, or life and you believe it.
Just exactly like the first time.... This amazing track 1 of the 3 tracks i can listen all day every day and will enjoy every single freaking second of it.... Just amazing masterpiece by crazy ass Joel 👏 👏👏👏👏👏👏
This song is unlike any other song out there. there is a certain quality and emotion that not many other songs can produce. I have always said this song is a perect one to close out a set or festival. its got a nice calm build up to allow people to settle down after rocking to hours of fast pace songs and then midway through it just goes to that face pace but its more laid back and you just cant help but stand there and just bob your head to it. then it just slowly builds down and ends. The ending signals the end of the set. sure much bigger songs could have been played but this song just fits. its a finale that is enjoyable and memorable. Absolute perfection from Deadmau5.
I had this exact experience years ago when I was in 2 day full on festival and deadmau5 closed it. Many people left because there wasnt constant 'drops' like every other song and I enjoyit it so much it was almost spiritual experience.
DaftPunk and DeadMau5 are pretty much in their world of their own.... no one can match them. their ingenuity and creativity of their songs are bar none.

This sounds like the kind song you wrote when you are sad but you can't explain it, and the only way to convey the emotion, or that it is an emotion, is the tone of the keys and the progression of the track.
im 34 now was 22 and i was there ;), and i can confirm that night was as incredible as it looked and this song was amazing still get chills every time i come back to that night captured forever in this classic video.
I saw him live earlier this year. Even when I knew he was gonna close out with this song, I still got major chills when he played it live. Just hearing the somber buildup while the people near me murmurs "this is my favorite song" and "this song is the best". It really is an experience i'm glad I witnessed live instead of just watching on youtube. I urge y'all to try and find time to watch this live, by any means. To me it's cheesy to say every music festival is life changing because it really isn't, but this song and the experience I felt is something I will never forget.
Everytime I listen to this song, I get taken away from the hectic life and transcended into a very peaceful island, sitting by the beach with this song playing.
My story... while driving down a country road one day while this was playing in the background. It was one of those days where it had just rained and the ground was slightly foggy as a new weather system was moving in almost as if mother nature had just power washed the earth giving us another clean start for the day. The weather was recently cold beforehand so i had the windows down naturally to feel the long overdue spring warmth on my face. I had been separated from my family for awhile now and they were on my mind. As i was thinking of how much i missed them all i was driving past by a small rural grave site. I couldn't help but notice that the newer graves up front were always covered with flowers but two old ones in the back corner that were old and falling over were left bare... sad looking, and well like time had forgotten them. At that very moment i had an overwhelming feeling that we will all end up in those long forgotten graves and i realized everything we have is right now and we all better enjoy the most out of what we have while we can before we lose our chance too forever.... when we are the long and forgotten. Never knew a simple song like this could invoke such emotions in so many different people in so many different ways.
Literally an actual masterpiece being watched by people without phones and actually enjoying the moment very rare to see 😢 this song sends so many emotions words could never explain ❤

I always feel a special feeling and love from people in the comments. It feels like family. This song is heavenly, heavy, beautiful and nostalgic. Much love to you all!
This video is 12yrs old, now. I found it, 5 years ago, and it introduced me to Deadmau5. 'Is this EDM?", as Joel would say. Its that and more. One of the great composers of our time. Combined with tech genius. The evolution of his "Cube" Aesthetics, in his shows, alone, are above and beyond. Not to mention a film Score, to boot. He'd be way richer and popular, had he chose to sell out. Fat chance, of that. Its just different, and it can't be taught.
It’s ridiculous, but I can’t listen to this song without crying 🩷 My best friend and I used to get obliterated on drugs in her super cool, teeny tiny bedroom in a trailer. Her walls were absolutely wallpapered with band posters and art projects, and we’d just flip on the blacklight and listen to music, crack open glowsticks, etc, like total stereotypes. This song was on CONSTANTLY. I was eighteen then. Now I’m in my early thirties and she’s in her late twenties, and though those days were dark for both of us in a smorgasbord of ways, it was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in my life! We reflect on that era with tremendous fondness. And holy shit, Strobe brings me right back there. It’s like maybe a week has passed since then - not close to fifteen fucking years 😭 How does that happen?! Music is such a powerful, wonderful, heartbreaking thing, and thank god for it

My wife asked me what I liked about this song. I told her listening to it is like taking drugs. It will take you from a somber low to a euphoric high in the span of these 12 minutes. When that beat drops, I get chills every single time and have a million volts of energy just coarsing through my veins.

First time i heard that song in the movie ..Runner.runner. i was searching.find it and from that time this song is my favorite electronic sound of all time. I wish to thank to Joel Thomas Zimmerman alias DEADMAU5,for that.
Best produced electronic song of all time in my opinion
Angad S ever heard adagio for strings
Farhan Niazi yeah, and it's nowhere close to strobe

100% hands down the best!!!

it must have been amazing to just be in the studio with him.. just to see him produce ANY song. but lucky we have twitch.
Originally two separate tracks put together that made strobe. Fun fact!
kinda like when goldie made timeless
He doesn't feel shit. He said this himself.
He probably thought; "this song needs...". Like every producer, nothing is ever "done", you just stop working on it.

First time i heard that song in the movie ..Runner.runner. i was searching.find it and from that time this song is my favorite electronic sound of all time. I wish to thank to Joel Thomas Zimmerman alias DEADMAU5,for that.

You could do drugs or you could listen to Deadmau5. You'll get the same effect but you will never be able to quit Deadmau5's music. It's addictive
