This song ruling the Charts again is the best thing that has happened in 2020. I’m really glad that new generations get to know this music. It’s a brilliant ageless record.
I love the simplicity of this song. The bass line can go for eternity and the guitar just teases you at all the right moments. Pure emotion. Sometimes less is more
@@benjamingruder4875 Yes! The entire song consists of two versions of the F chord and the G chord. The verses are F- and G-major; the chorus is F-major7 to G-major (and a few variations of G-major, like G5, etc.) But it's so awesomely arranged. I've been hearing it since I was a kid when it first came out on the radio. And, I've played keyboards in a rock band over ten years (although I never attempted this song until today). Even after all that, I was shocked a few years ago to hear someone say it was just two chords. I can learn songs fast; on the fly, on stage. But this song tricked me all these decades! It still blows my mind that I could never hear that it was only F and G. But after sitting at my keyboard with it today, yes that's all. This is the probably the most craftily-arranged song of the 20th century. BTW, the only good thing about the extended India lockdown for me is I got to spend two hours with this song today.

This was my grandmas favorite artist of all time. She passed away a week ago. So now I’m listening to all of Stevie Nicks’ songs. This song was her favorite song of hers.

I know everyone is commenting about the guy that lead them here, but this has actually given me an opportunity to be introduced to this group's absolutely breathtaking music. The 70s can never compare to any other decade...
I generally hate TikTok, but doggface's skateboard video actually managed to get this song to rechart in the US at #21 with the potential to rise in the coming weeks So thanks TikTok for introducing people to this classic
It's funny how people only find music from the 70's and 80's "cool" when someone does a cool video with the song in it! People used to say I'm a nerd for listening to this same song when I was in my teens... I guess now it's ok to go back in time lol
Same I hate tik tok because that's all that people do instead of working. But doggface's tiktok took me away with that sweet classic song that I nvr head off.
hey if tiktok is going to make any song viral again, i’m so thrilled it’s this one lol! I had the privilege of seeing Fleetwood Mac last year and I can’t express enough how magical they are! a truly timeless band! :)
I remember hearing this song a lot on the radio in the '70s and I've loved it since. Fleetwood Mac is one of those bands whose music has aged beautifully.

This song is perfection. That whole album was a creative masterpiece, something we rarely see anymore. Being a kid in the 70's took that for granted as so many great songs came out of that era; this among the primary.

I'm just grateful a whole new generation just discovered this timeless music thanks to the skateboard guy. I hope they continue to discover all of Fleetwood Mac.
I can hear my mom singing this now. Oh how she loved her some Stevie. 😔 Rest well mommy 😇🕊️. Thanks for exposing this little black girl to ALL KINDS of music 🙏🏽
My father loved the 70‘s and everything that came with it. He always had soft rock stations playing during the day when i was little. Anything Fleetwood Mac that came on he would say “ohhhh!! Stevie!!“ and tap his foot. This song came on in the car after i hugged and kissed him for the last time.
This was the first Fleetwood Mac song I heard. Stevie’s voice mesmerized me. One of my first crushes. Then I was hooked. Oh and Mick Fleetwood is a hugely underrated drummer. On every FM song, his drumming fits the emotion. And his fills are exquisite.
My Son at 14 is the same. Taking him to see the great Paul McCartney touring Australia this November. So wonderful that the kids appreciate these timeless artists.

Fleetwood Mac and Abba have been my 15 year old daughters two favorite band for the past couple of years. I bought her "Fleetwood Mac" and "Rumors" on vinyl for her last Christmas. This year it will be "Tusk", "Mirage" and Stevie's "Bella Donna"
this song is otherworldly beautiful Fleetwood Mac are seriously one of the greatest bands of all time they had a rock solid rhythm section and three genius composers with beautiful voices when all three sing together I just want to dive inside the sound and swim around in the sonic beauty
Lol that reminds me of a Seinfeld episode. Like someone calling Elaine “Otherworldly Beautiful”…and Elaine got totally flabbergasted. Only to find out later that the guy overused the term all the time, then he even used it to refer to an ugly baby 😂 Ok Seinfeld trivia time…what was the term used in the episode?? It wasn’t otherworldly beautiful… He called her “Breathtaking” lol
@@JoeBuck-uc3bl I suppose I can be a bit pretentious sometime but I really do love Fleetwood Mac and Dreams does have a very dreamy other worldly quality to it. I like the show Seinfeld a lot but I don't remember that particular episode. Apparently they had an idea they didn't end up using for an episode where Elaine got mugged so she gets a gun to protect herself. I wish they had made that episode because I think it could have been really funny. Thanks for your comment it was breathtaking.
This was my tune on my way to chemo every week!!! It gave me vibes, light , hope . I blasted it in the morning, danced in shower, in car all the way to the hospital! You know I’m circa your era, I cannot remember when I first heard it, but remember listening to it a lot in the mid 90s. Recently the Denmark Badminton’s open championships I think or it’s the french, anyways a week or two weeks ago, they were blaring this song during the intervals and it’s always in the background. Today I finally succumb to my need to look for the old video. Also can’t remember the words, so earlier today, listen to a video with lyrics. This song is so deceptively light yet very deep.
At about 2:22 the rhythm section does that tasty bit, I love it when Lindsey looks back at them and smiles. Moments like that between musicians quietly acknowledging each others greatness is so cool. John is the unsung hero of this album. His bass lines are what makes the songs great. Most people listen and have no clue so here’s to you John. Cheers mate!! Thank you
I agree. The drums and bass are absolutely essential to lay down the foundation(or rhythm) of great music. The rhythm section is the structure that the song is built.
Fully agree, drum and bass are so silky smooth and harmonic, setting the soothing atmosphere and at times lashing out in grandure too (The Chain comes to mind)
Lindsey Buckingham also did some good songs, taken too soon, and was Stevie Nicks mentor as her boyfriend, and how she joined Fleetwood Mac. That's just their personal life, but it sure created a great legendary band.
Rumors I think was their best album. I was 16 years old and in love with Stevie Nicks when Rumors came out. Also bought her first 2 solo albums. They were great.❤❤❤
I was 13; I rocked!✊🏾 47 years later, still ✊🏾💚 Introduced my kids to the good 70s music I grew up on _ they were a captive audience 😄, they had no choice as I chauffered them hither and yon. But you know what, now they appreciate it; their playlists are pretty eclectic & span multiple decades, not just their generation of music.👏🏾👏🏾!

I love the simplicity of this song. The bass line can go for eternity and the guitar just teases you at all the right moments. Pure emotion. Sometimes less is more
Yep. As first I was really astonished that this song essentially only had two chords. Shows what great musicians can do!
I agree wholeheartedly

It's great to see so many young people being introduced to this sort of music. This song came out when I was 1 (I'm 44 now). Truly excellent songwriting and musicianship, and great to see a whole new generation appreciating it. Songs like WAP are fun and all, but this sort of music just has soul.
Totally agree, i absolutely adore them. Btw, I actually did a cover of this song and I'll be releasing a creative, artistic in honor to Fleetwood Mac.. it might be on my channel in two weeks or so.. but it's gonna be great. Modern music is degenerate filth pushed by zionists. Music back in the 70s was less degenerate, but the seeds were still there.
Great to see a live performance but certainly can't beat the sensational sound of the original studio analog vinyl pressing
I know everyone is commenting about the guy that lead them here, but this has actually given me an opportunity to be introduced to this group's absolutely breathtaking music. The 70s can never compare to any other decade...

It became my Hakka warrior song in my fight and kept me happy and strong throughout… it still gives me chills and makes me dance and sing out loud 💚💛❤️💚💛❤️💚💛❤️
Sending you love and light and healing vibes. 🙏💗
you got this!
Prayers for you !
@@carlstites9222 Thank you! We can do all things though Christ❤️❤️❤️

Haunting. Hypnotic. Beautiful.
Fleetwood Mac deserves remastered videos !!!
They deserve to make a movie as Queen did
@@noname-gp2wk i don't know about stevie but bradley cooper would be perfect for Lindsey
@@noname-gp2wk hell no 😵😵
@@noname-gp2wk I thought taylor spreitler could pulled it off but not am not sure now.
No not all, the simplicity of the video adds to the greatness of the song.
Stevie Nicks is an incredible singer . She makes the world good.
I wholeheartedly agree with you! Hi, from Florida.🙂🦋🦄🐋🧘♀️🧚♀️🧜♀️🧞♀️🐧

She does 🤗👍🙏
I was 18 when this song came out in 1977. First time I heard it I loved it. I'm 63 now and still love it. 45 years of Dreams it still a beautiful song
Dallas Woody, I was 17 I can understand you perfectly
You know I’m circa your era, I cannot remember when I first heard it, but remember listening to it a lot in the mid 90s. Recently the Denmark Badminton’s open championships I think or it’s the french, anyways a week or two weeks ago, they were blaring this song during the intervals and it’s always in the background. Today I finally succumb to my need to look for the old video. Also can’t remember the words, so earlier today, listen to a video with lyrics. This song is so deceptively light yet very deep.
B 63 this 23 too Happy Days for sure 77
I have the same age and the same feelings
Iam 20 years old and i love this song, i can only imagine how it felt when it released in 1977
A simple song. So cool.
But the lyrics the feeling it's Not so simple....
I call. you answer simple. It's great when rehearsed but magic when it comes out organically. Makes the music more intimate, personable, and human

What the hell do you mean _"Lindsey Buckingham was taken too soon"?_
Released 24 March 1977,,who else is enjoying this classic song 47 years later in 2024
Yo
Rumors I think was their best album. I was 16 years old and in love with Stevie Nicks when Rumors came out. Also bought her first 2 solo albums. They were great.❤❤❤
I was a mere 26 year old ✌️
I am❤😊
I was 13; I rocked!✊🏾 47 years later, still ✊🏾💚
Introduced my kids to the good 70s music I grew up on _ they were a captive audience 😄, they had no choice as I chauffered them hither and yon. But you know what, now they appreciate it; their playlists are pretty eclectic & span multiple decades, not just their generation of music.👏🏾👏🏾!
Jesus christ man, listen to that voice.
I'd die for Stevie.
Check out Lanie Gardner Dreams cover
Not just the voice the music so peaceful
Been listening to it for over 40 years.

Her voice is pure honey, 🍯 truly unmatched
This song hits the note. It makes you relax and at peace to yourself. Just as Nathan can show us that life brings trials it also brings the blessings of the Almighty God willing to show compation, peace and serenity. I say well job done Nathan, homie on the skateboard sipping on his cranberry juice.
I love how Nathan has been having his trials & tribulations in Life. His car breaking down was like no big deal..He was like... I got this..takes out his longboard and cranberry juice. We All got this in this Pandemic! God Bless Us All!
