  • I'll be sharing a personal story about overcoming fear to achieve success in Olympic boxing. It's a narrative I've never shared before, recounting my experience in the semi-finals of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Interestingly, Deontay Wilder fought on the same day after my match against Kenny Egan.

I've boxed, kickboxed, and wrestled many years of my life. Now, at 47, recently married, and have two stepkids (hotheaded teens), I decided to watch Tony to get some refreshers since they are asking me about fighting. I'm glad I found him. He taught me a few techniques and allowed me to get refreshed so I could teach my kids properly how to box (in the ring only). Thanks Tony.

I had my first amateur fight a few months ago and the months leading up I had terrible anxiety(struggled mightily all my life with anxiety). The weeks before the fight I started really envisioning every small detail. Warming up in the back, the walk out, if my opponent did this or that. It helped so much I felt no bad anxiety the day of the fight, came out and performed and got it done.
